I've been to more than 14 performances of YES starting in 1973 and if I remember correctly the last time I saw them was at the Richfield Coliseum in Akron Ohio. They never let me down. Roosevelt stadium NJ was AMAZING and that was with Patrick Morraz on keyboards that was when the Lazer Light shows were new and could be seen on the buildings in NEW York City. Sat on the pitcher's mound. The Hash Oil we were smoking just sent us Close To The Edge and right into the Topographic Ocean and to The Gates of Delirium . HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!
Not sure I would put them up to the so-called classic lineup, but this sounds pretty darn good. Jay is as solid a drummer as you will ever find, and if course Steve's quirky playing is in fine form
Quel massacre!
I know that Squire asked them to keep it going before he passed, but man, they look so tired and bored. Sherwood even looks a little angry. It sounds pretty good though. Their stage is WAY too small for the music, but that's the way of most bands from that era. It's still heartbreaking to watch.
@@barryb988 It really is a shame. Look, I get it. Musicians need to make a living and they still enjoy playing, but as a fan it really makes me sad. Glad I got to see them in the late 70s.
Is this a tribute band? Oh, I just fast forwarded and saw Steve how during Heart of the Sunrise. Jeez, keyboard guy hitting many bum notes and not even playing the organ during the synth solo part.
They sound good!! But funny.. I was scrolling YT and saw the thumbnail and title “Yes Westbury” and thought it was a tribute band from Westbury… it took me a few seconds of viewing to realize it was the current Yes.
I've seen Yes many , many times but this was not Yes. Their current configuration is more like the Steve Howe tribute band. They are my favorite group, but it was sad to see this show. I went just to see Steve Howe play. When Jon Anderson was sick several years ago the other members just abandoned him. It was very unforgivable since Jon and Chris were the founding members.

A lot of the songs sound slow and sluggish. The slower speed works for certain tracks, like And you and I, but CTTE, for example, sounds ragged and sluggish.
No, just no, for there is no comparison between Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks. The one I feel sorry for is Steve Howe for he deserves better, and much better at that.
I wouldn’t pay good money to see this band seeing as there are no original members remaining. It’s ending up like one of those swinging sixties tribute tours with the likes of Gerry’s Pacemakers and Dozy Beaky Mick & Tich. Steve Howe should be doing solo gigs like Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman are doing. He’s destroying his legacy as well as that of the memory of the magnificent original Yes.
I agree. I have always loved Steve Howe's skill but this incarnation is just not that good. Steve should go solo. I've seen him solo twice and it was amazing. Read "Close to the edge" by Chris Welch. It goes into great detail about the background of the band and it's various members. Excellent book!
I always feel the need to respond to idiots who consider working and earning a living a “cash grab“. Well, you can say whatever you want about this current lineup, and there is a lot to say about it, this notion of a “cash grab“ is as obnoxious and as ignorant as anything that I could think of. You seem to prefer the idea that musicians shouldn’t earn a living based on their craft. That a guy like Steve Howe, rightly or wrongly, going out under the banner of the band he helped turn into what it is should not earn off of that labor is ridiculous. The roadies, hotels, truckers, Riggers, and everybody else involved in putting up a stage, and being part of a touring unit, I guess are also in it for the “cash grab”. give me a friggin break. I suppose you work for free.

The drummer is plenty solid, just dull. I was hoping they'd get a more Bruford-style player to replace Alan. The timing problems are due to stoned-out Howe's perpetual dragging and Downes' frequent tendency to rush.

Great YES music, great performance and great sound; virtuosos.
YES died when we lost Chris., no ifs and buts about it!!! RIP Chris Squire
I was also at the roosevelt stadium show. I was 15, and in awe. And yes, the hash was amazing… wasn’t it. But, think the real yes died back in ‘77.
Call it what it is the Steve Howe band
These guys look tired while Jon Anderson is having fun singing with the Paul Green Rock Academy spreading the love of YES music!!
Yeah…now that is the tribute band.
AND The Band Geeks!
Not sure I would put them up to the so-called classic lineup, but this sounds pretty darn good. Jay is as solid a drummer as you will ever find, and if course Steve's quirky playing is in fine form
They better quit. Seriously!

What was going on with the audio at the end of HOTS ? what a strange echo. Thanks for the upload.
I am a huge Yes fan from way back. This is cringe worthy.
Took me a minute to actually find a member of Yes on the stage. Oye.
Really sad that they didn't stay together, but that's their history. It's now the steve howe tribute band.😥
@@barryb988 It really is a shame. Look, I get it. Musicians need to make a living and they still enjoy playing, but as a fan it really makes me sad. Glad I got to see them in the late 70s.
It's one thing to be in a Yes tribute band, but I've got a problem with the bassist dressing and trying to act like Squire
Is this a tribute band? Oh, I just fast forwarded and saw Steve how during Heart of the Sunrise. Jeez, keyboard guy hitting many bum notes and not even playing the organ during the synth solo part.
I just wish they would call it a day. This is nothing more than a tribute babd with Steve Howe.

Anyone can imitate a band...just listen to Journey. This is not Yes.

Steve Howe's Yes
Pauvre Sherwood il a si peu de personnalité qu'il se croit obligé d'imiter Chris Squire même dans ses mouvements sur scène. RIP Yes 😢
I was there. I thought it was a great concert.
This is the first time that I liked of this new Yes! The first time that this band stay in “sync”
Revolving stage, like 1979
And the Union shows. That was pretty wild 👍
I wish UA-cam would stop referring to these imposters as Yes.
Agreed. With the exception of Steve Howe, it is more like a tribute band
I totally agree….sloppy playing….THE STEVE HOWE TRIBUTE BAND
It’s the Steve Howe band now, tribute band.
Totally awfull
I got more enjoyment listening to the Anderson, Wakeman and Rabin version playing at the apollo than this

Where's Yes? Come on Steve, either get back with Rick and Jon or just shut this tribute band down
The best cover band since Foreigner and the Tommy Shaw Band known as Styx. PS no respect to the original members in this cash grab.
