This song is f@cking awesome! Was not expecting that tempo change, but it makes the song so much better. One of the catchiest songs on the album, makes me get up and dance around the room like a crazy person. Love these guys!!!

There’s actually no tempo change. The tempo remains the same but the feel changes, it does drive more in the chorus and the verse pulls.

That feeling when you’re listening to the RHCP’s new album for the first time and already wish you could unhear it, so every next time was as phenomenal as the first time 😁
This new album has a really good 👍 sound. The RHCP brought back that old heavy funky sound from their early years, and blend it with that grunge sound from the 1990s.
and there is definitely some JF synth electronic vibes in there too. almost like a complete evolution of their sound combinations throughout
Idk their Heavy sound is way different pre Blood Sugar Sex Magic…. Hillels Guitar tone was very Hendrix

Melodic and funky. Two in one. And it works so well. The trumpets in the 2nd chorus go well, the bassline is sick the guitar is slow and fast. And let's not forget the hard rock riffs at 3:10

Shoutout to whomever mixed this album. SoOooOo freaking clean!!! This is hands down my all time favorite album (not just from them, but OF ALL TIME). Most songs on this album feel like 2 songs in 1. These guys and their music have aged like fine wine, only gotten better with time. Much respect to them and their team, and the journeys they’ve traveled.
Their greatest hits compilation is gonna have to be a giant box set 🤪

I haven’t heard this entire album yet #ReturnoftheDreamCanteen, only about 3 songs, & yes, I loved the songs. Do you guys like this album or their previous one better or both equally the same?
