She...
Off the bus onto the train
Getting all to high, gotta head on 5th and main
I look like you I feel the same
You don't even know my name
I got this town all to myself
Well everybody's gone to the everybody shelf
Are you coming through, do you want me to, take your body
It would be so cool, to be cool with you, I said lordy lordy
I don't like blood into the chain
There aint a nelly man that stays up in my brain
dirty son will find a way
Do you even want to stay
Are you coming through, do you want me to, take your body
It would be so cool, to be cool with you, I said lordy lordy
Where'd you get that bruise, do you want me to,
take your body
I must still, taking your bod away
Are you coming through, do you want me to, take your body
It would be so cool, to be cool with you. I said lordy lordy
Where'd you get that bruise, do you want me to,
take your body
I must still, taking your bod away
This period of RHCP is insane. All the b-sides are as strong as most other bands album track. They were truly blessed by a superior force from about 99-04.
john's brain still transitioning back from the crazy drug days. an inbetween senstive state favoring the best of both states creatively.
Why cut it short at 04? They made their best work with stadium arcadium
Brother make no mistake about it. They are still killing it in every stretch of the imagination
@@fascistfodge5056 I love Stadium but there are some very average tracks on it and the b-sides weren't as strong in my opinion. Still blow most music out the water though!
@@brysoncook489 For sure. Saw them last summer - first time in 15 years - and they were just as good as ever.
I think if I met a girl who mentioned a RHCP B side I'd ask her to marry me there and then
Did you find one?
AH151 haha no I did not. I did meet a girl a few years after this comment but still haven’t popped the question - maybe if she steps her RHCP appreciation up I will!
@@osborna haha...you need to force that sh!t on her. I met my now wife and she didn’t like the chili peppers (I know, right???!!!)...5 years later and we are due to be going to Florence in June to see them play (COVID will clearly ruin these plans!).
@@osborna you got this bro
@@AH-zs5hf Unfortunately “Firenze Rocks” has been canceled :((
I guess I’ll meet you guys in 2022.. I live in Italy btw
This is the best Red Hot Chili Peppers chorus the world hasn't heard.
This music isn't a cover?
@@gustavomendes1746
It's an original RHCP song.
this is one of my favorites. There were some really great B-sides and outtakes recorded for this album.
this is true bro !!
Facts!
0:03 Not all fans know that when RHCP was releasing a 2nd greatest hits in 2003 that they were asked to make a couple new songs for promotional purpose. While those were Fortune faded (single) and Save the Population, this request resulted in them going to work early on a new follow up album from 2002's By the Way, which was never completed b/c after a break from that process, John had changed his mind about the direction they were going, in regard to the style of his guitar playing. They basically made half a record worth of intended keepers and got busy or needed time off and by time they picked up where they left off, John had shifted back into being inpspired by flashy or more dedicated guitar players like Hendrix and these songs simply didn't mesh with what would become Stadium Arcadium, which they began working on in 2004. Bunker Hill, Eskimo, Save The Population and Fortune Faded are just some of the songs written, as well as the best of them, but they were'nt left off By The Way like most people are saying. Just unreleased in an official manner, by album. However, they wrote some real gems that didn't make it onto BTW. Overall, I understand why. I don't know the specifics, but the best of the B-sides from that sound like they may have never actually been intended for the record. I could be wrong. I personally think that since BeachBoys was one of John's main influences during that period, that it led to them making some songs that sound like they were actually written in the 50s such as "Someone" and could see how that was left off, in the case of not being in sync with the rest of what they created. A shame for sure, but they may have thought let's not do that b/c it lacks originality or b/c it sounds too much like an existing song. Be sure to check out "Someone" and their cover of "Teenager in love" which is a 50s tune. Yea they must have really been into the 50s for "one Hot Minute" around 03-04 b/c they did the Beach Boys cover of I get around by or before 2005 as well now that I think about it. John's backing vocals on Someone is like lifting a tarp off the ground and finding buried treasure shining up into the sky and seeing angels and wondering why only you can see them, while the rest of the world doesn't care. That's how sad it is that people around you don't hear these songs, just like the lost people out there that didn't own RHCP albums after allegedly not being convinced enough by the singles that they need them. Crazy to think there's ppl out here that didn't buy there records when people bought them anyway lol. Backnin the day for me, when school sucked b/c they didn't have Red Hot Chili Peppers class! 😂
This is like a potential great first hit for any band imo but it's just another b side for these fine gentleman
for them it was just another day in the office
Ladyes and gentleman, Red Hot chili peppers
thats why they are the greatest band of all time
Truer words never been said.
They fucked up by not releasing this as a single. Or at least putting it on an album. Its easily strong enough
2:18 Frusciante's backing vocals give the chills every time. One of the most beautiful and underrated Chili Pepper songs ever.
dan gallagher
tus temas son ricas cando las tomo
I totally agree
one of the most simple Frusciante's solo and one of the most beautiful.
it's really a shame they're so hard to hear in many of their songs! I've been a chili peppers fan for a while but I always discover new backup vocals in songs that I never noticed before
I am so grateful for the chili`s , Their music has been there for me in my best of moods and my worst of depressions . and got me through it all good or bad , I love you guys
+Ryan Fry same here brother ^^
Ryan Fry, naam123hj same with me
Ryan Fry same
Ryan Fry Same
Same here man
You know you're good when your b-sides are better than most artist's hits.
Strong contender for my all time favorite RHCP song, and it's not even on Spotify :( I have fond memories of being an 11 year old and buying the Fortune Faded single, absolutely falling in love with this track.
Spotify Release The B sides!!!
Johns backing vocals are magic.. they are just magic...
Correct
RHCP B-sides are the best B-sides
The B in B-side stands for bomb af
Gabetheman isthebest Bsides are the Best sides
The otherside of the record is always the best side. ;)
(They're both the other side of the other side.)
The best thing about opposite day, is that it's the opposite of opposite day.
The Beatles B Sides are wonderful
And Muse as well, check out Easily 😊
Why they didn't include this on an album is beyond me, the chorus is by far the most pefect thing I have ever heard, and the ending solo is beautiful, the way frusciante makes a slow bend up and down, love it
man this track is so beautiful. Literally dripping with feeling
Million Miles of Water and Bunker Hill, man. Hard to believe they're B-sides!
Eskimo too!
Rivers of Avalon
OUT OF RANGE ANYONE!?
soul to squeeze, Nothing to Lose...
This, Soul to Squeeze and Million Miles of Water are by far the greatest B-Sides this world has ever seen!
Thank you RHCP, I'm feelin like shit at 3AM and you always find a way to cheer me up. One of my favourite Chilli sounds!! Take yo booaddy, While I'm stilllll, takin yo boud awayyyyyyyy.
Lordehyy Lordehyyyyy!
the sheer number of amazing b-sides shows how much they enjoy their music, that is one of the reasons why i love them so much. also their music has stayed amazing and interesting over the years, legendary band
I can't get over how beautiful John's riffs are on here
I hope they start releasing B side albums
I'm so obsessed with this song it's unhealthy
this is easily one of my favorite rhcp songs ever, it's truly a shame how it didn't make it to the album. the chorus is just too good. I could listen to this in a loop and never get tired
3:08 so beautiful at the end
Johns vocals and solos are always fucking heavenly. We dont deserve him😂 the best we can do, especially us musicians, is understand his relationship to music as something mystical and strive to bring that energy into our own playing
b-sides in RHCP are "Best-sides"
nice lol
This is their best unreleased song. Sad it didn't make the album, it's my favorite! Would have gone great on the album!
Bunker Hill and Rivers of Avalon are my top 2 favorite RHCP Songs, after all these years I still get chills when I hear them like it's my first time
Estoy empezando a descubrir sus lados b y los dos que más me gustan son los que mencionastes ! Lástima que la calidad no sea la mejor y no sean oficiales
omg yes Rivers of Avalon! Totally agree with you fam
@@tresojos para mi la mejor !
How it ends
One of the best red hot tracks! And it's a b-side! Awesome feeling and flow. Make me feel alive
Merecia um lugar no Californication, ela e Quixoticelixer são muito massa!!!
The RHCP logo is awesome in any colour.
I actually kind of see why the Peppers leave out certain songs from the albums, but this song (IMO) fits with Californication. Love it.
first song they wrote with John back in the band.....I think it should have been on the album and I think this song could have fit on the album
Thanks for info! The first and an absolute masterpiece! 💖💖💖
I can't believe this song didn't make it onto an album... it's amazing. One of my favorites by them.
Frusciante back up vocals in the ending are heavenly
The most beautiful outro
Great song, and one of the best bass outro i've ever heard
Outro is magical.
RHCP outros of this era are awesome. Around The World and Otherside have some of the best endings of any of their songs.
@@eddydenton purple stain and parallel universe too
Maaan the ending is so beautiful!
3:16, that bend!! :)
+knowledgeisthepower1 always been my favourite part of his playing, that 2nd note addition to the minor pentatonic scale. its his signature thing i reckon
Way too good to be a b-side...
AHHHH I already knew 'Quixoticelixir', but hadn't heard this one! Freaking awesome. Better than quite a few of the songs on Californication...
02:48 and on..... so peaceful!
Quintessential Frusciante solo. Simple and elegant. Just a handful of well-chosen notes that fit perfectly over the funky af chords underneath, and convey surprisingly powerful emotion.
with all these epic b side songs they could make at least 2-3 number one albums
What a hidden gem!
No No No No, no excuse for not putting Bunker Hill, that song is love supreme!
for sure in my top 5 rhcp songs

Brillantes. Me lo llevaba en CD al instituto
Who else thinks this song is better than a whole Unlimited love album?
GOD DAMIT RHCP RELEASE MORE SONGS I'M DYING HERE!!!!!
This is awesome, wish it was on an album. Seriously, I don't enjoy any music as much as rhcp's and I need more! JAMS, RANDOM SHIT, ANYTHING!!! RHCP I NEED MORE OF YOUR MUSIC !!!
When Anthony says "where'd you get that bruise?" I laugh because it makes me think of a girl who has a hickey and her boyfriend notices it and is all "where'd ya get that?"
Hah that's not a bad guess but I'm pretty sure it's a bit deeper than that, I believe he was talking about track marks
+Ricky Weimann Yeah could be, that's true
oh wow i never thought about that great perspective
This b-side is too good to not have been featured on the album californication
This Bassline reminds me to throw away your television. So freaking good! The whole song is perfect, it could have been a top selled single. Now is the most underrated peppa songa.
I love the outro bassline
why is this song not on spotify?
this song is all about spiritual
Can you elaborate on that?
You wouldn't understand :/
If only we where all as special as you.
Probably my favourite RHCP song
Outro on this is incredible
whoa slow down there. porcelain is an amazing song and i listen to it right as i'm about to go into a deep sleep, ya know when you're still awake but you're eyes are closed and you can't really move. its really comforting to go to sleep to
Originally it was the second side of a vinyl record..
But these days when talking about albums, songs that were made for the album but didn't make the final cut end up being nicknamed B-Sides.. they usually get used as extra songs on a single that's released.
Chorus is amazing. RHCP never stop surprising me
Such a badass bassline
jesus this song is just as good as any other song on Caly
This song has so many incredible elements.
I would like my life to end like this song
One of the best outros from the Chilis
RHCP needs to do what Green Day did with Shenanigans and release an entire album of just B-sides. I’d fucking buy it in a heartbeat.
One of my favorite song ever!!
Better than any songs on Californication.
thnx so much for uploading that song -
it's really hard to find it anywhere..
hope to see more unique stuff like that on your prof, cheers
Porcelain is a great song.....one of the best on Californication.
quite possibly my favorite b-side right here.
I love the final, so beautiful and
synchronized!!
“It would be so cool to be cool with you...”
Love it
represent Boston! This song really captures the ominous yet open feel of boston culture
love these hidden b sides. i find new ones all the time. love the groove of this tune. wish there was longer soloing from john at the end though
This song is so freaking good! Lovet the chili's never seize to amaze and entertain me
From "Ham on Rye", by author Charles Bukowski : " Main Street, East 5th, Bunker Hill..."
It's so neat how AK references Bukowski in this song; as he does in "Long Progression", and in " Mellowship Slinky in B major."
Great musician and inteligent as well; great band, great songs!
I don't know that book, but nice, I love it when there are these little references!
0:09 that bass
bunker hill is one of my favorite, when i hear it i just want to deep my self in some kind of an ocean and i dont even like water!
The chilis are my heroine
They're my aero-plane.
The outro is just awesome !!!
man you took the words out my mouth they have done the same for me i love u guys chilli peppers
best song ever
Close to it
Hey, I used to live there!
This song is awesome...wish they'd play it live once in a while!
i adore this music, red hot chilipepers is a band very good.
My favorite b side
they should honestly release a b-sides album maybe I bet it would sell more than the getaway and this could be their first single off it
This shit is exponentially better. Sorry josh you're just not the songwriter or player John is. John being in the band makes them worthy of their fame and fortune...that's now faded. 😉
Their fortune faded
@Liam Arnold - ba doom tish...
Good job copying my pun...you're a clever one! 🙄
No I saw that I was aknowledgi get its existence
such a chill track
WOW. today it's the first time I've heard this song...AND IT"S AWESOME!
That chorus!!!
I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this song will always ease my soul
great song...love peppers!
That outro is something else
i like the way the bass sounds crispy!
they could play this song live!
+D Jeanine Candido why?
Great song, melody is like magic. Their better time.
Great song
