The "super power" of the Vermont is in fact that you go stealth for 20 seconds between shots! Few other ships can boast that! :)
The launch control is insane too, can get max speed in less than 15s and at 15-20km range makes it really hard to hit even when it's not concealed
So a thing that can make vermont more bearable, press z after firing.
Seriously though, vermont shells are slow and the reload is worse, but if you watch those shots all cinematic style, take some time to appreciate the view etc then by the time they land and your trip is over, the reload is now at or under 30 seconds.
I know it's not ideal, but personally I find it much more relaxing than keeping the ship view and seeing that reload timer.
My favorite thing about this battleship line actually isn't the guns, but the maneuverability.
Obviously they're slow as hell, but the turning circle and acceleration on the Vermont and its predecessors make it incredibly easy to dodge torpedoes when compared to, say, the German battleships. I had one memorable game in the Kansas where I was at less than 10 km of three DDs for the entire game and didn't take a single torp.

1 I have NEVER seen a double strike in the same salvo, absolutely glorious!
2 I'm really glad to see PQ playing with other guys, at least for me I have the most fun when playing with friends, and I know PQ has been getting very frustrated with the game recently. And maybe, in the future, a potential for division tactics videos?
Said this on on Flamu's VT video last week:

No one probably noticed but when PQ took out the Conqueror and Gearing, the friendly team lost a Conqueror and a Gearing almost immediately after, spooky
This was such a great replay. Double kill in one salvo and the bow pen into Immelman for the win. Nice.
If you listen closely with audio up, you can hear bfk screaming "ZERO DAMAGE" in the background after every salvo landed.
Vermont is still a reliable ship to play, even with its slowness. I see the forced patience as more of a benefit than a detriment. It makes you think and gives you the time to look at the map once in a while while in stealth.
It's honestly a great ship to play if overextending is becoming an issue. Sure, you can still overextend in the Tillman BB's, BUT it takes a hell of a lot longer to do so. lol So, maybe (as you pointed out) the player has time to watch the mini-map and not overextend.
That double strike was a thing of beauty.

This ship would have been the end game for battleships 12 18 inch guns the most guns you could fit on a hull of that calibre that would it in terms of firepower
brisk is great skill to have in crucial moments. but 90% of time you are either: spotted or not running at max speed to get benefit.

When they work,the guns are nasty but like he said patience is the key,they can one shot any cruiser unfortunate enough to get hit flat broadside

Concealment doesn't matter in a CV match. The only thing that matters is the confederate buff
I have gotten vermont, but I do atruggle it with. Part of it is Because my prediction isnt as good as it should be, part of it because the shells are so slow out to longer ranges. But i will get better, i have faith

Kidding aside, the Hulk did it first and believe they are both copying him, just sayin'.
WGing wants blowouts because the data they have shows people use resources faster, level faster, become more frustrated and more frustrated players spend more $$. If they are serious about making games competitive they would make advancement skill based. Should a 40% WR player with avg xp of 650 and 12K games played be in a T10 ship and an impact ship at that? Only if your goal is to opaquely create blowout matches. Even if they made ship classes skill based it would be a step in the right direction.
How dumb is enemy CV to rush fwd? Impressively dumb. Well done!
While I will continue to watch and enjoy these, i've recently deleted the game. It's just got too gimmicky and gambling-focused - Colossus was the final straw. Going to try something else but haven't decided what yet......
