In this video I wanted to create a tutorial on how I execute the blooms technique, the products I use, consistencies, things I’ve learned along the way etc. for anyone learning this technique who has taken the course, who is thinking about taking the course or who hasn’t taken it yet. If you are interested in signing up for the Shelee Art Blooms Technique course, the link to sign up and my 15% off code are below 👇🏻👇🏻. I hope you enjoy watching this half as much as I enjoyed creating it! 😊 Thanks so much for watching! ❤️❤️
I am a Sheleeart Affiliate! I highly recommend her course to learn the blooms technique and get the fundamentals down by learning from the creator of this technique. If you sign up for this course with my code “sheleeart15TPD”you’ll save 15%. Go to www.sheleeart.... to sign up for the online video course.
Also, when you sign up for the course, you become a member of the Shelee Art E-Course Facebook Community Group, and I have found it to be invaluable, worth the price of admission! Anything you have questions on will get answered in there. Something new is always popping up, and the support you get is bar none! 😊
A lot of what you see being created on my channel when ready will end up in my Etsy store. Some pieces if they translate well to digital will also make it to my RedBubble and Society6 shops so if you see a design you like please check out my links below.👇🏻😊💜

NOTE: If you can’t find these brands or are in a different country the components you want are an untinted base house paint (base c or d, base 3 or 4 whichever is lowest, deep base or ultra deep base or neutral base) plus a water based polyurethane gloss varnish to make up your Pouring Medium. If you want to try a more traditional pouring medium base because you can’t get certain components, TOTALLY go for it and give it a try 😃 it’s YOUR Art after all! 💜
Also, if you aren’t able to obtain either the US or Australian floetrols, try other options for cell activator like Amsterdam paint & water mixed thin or even silicone , this is your art, have fun with it!! 🤗💜
Is there a List of components here, and I’m just not seeing it?
Oops, sorry. Ignore my first question, I found the list. I wasn’t looking in the right place.
@@apoztr I saw your other comment too that you found it. I used to test a lot on this channel and have tried a variety of different untinted bases and varnishes, check the playlists and my mixing videos also. Also, my latest videos will have what I’m currently using and love in case you are interested but bottom line, they all work, it’s really what works for you, your budget and your art 🤗 have fun!
Hi Jodie...YOU are an amazing instructor...I doubt many out there, can compare!! I've been in the art field for over 40 years (as a painter), and thoroughly enjoy watching AND listening to all that you share and create!! AND what you create...gorgeous!! And once again, those following this method of "painting" are truly blessed to have you in their corner!!! Take care!!! Betty
So glad Karen from Waterfall Acrylics pointed your videos out. You are a well paced, patient teacher who points out little things to watch for. Your explanations in print are great too. I so appreciate all your skills packaged together to make great teaching videos. THANKS BUNCHES!
I think I am forever grateful to Karen (I just love her and her videos!) .. Thanks so much Marlynda! I just try to pass on my knowledge in the easiest possible way, I’m so glad it’s helpful and easy to understand ☺️💜
100% She's an Awesome teacher, her & Tammy Anderson are the best at teaching! Thank you both❣️
@marlyndataylor2925 that was such a well said comment. My sentiments exactly, but I’m not as well articulated! 😂❤️
Honestly I learned more from this video than taking the course you mentioned cuz you explain WHY things are done the way they are. Now I’ll be able to tweak some of the things I’ve been doing to get better results. Thank you!
U are a great teacher thank u
Aww you’re so welcome Cheryl 🥰 thank you so much! 💜
This is by far the best explanation of fluid painting I have ever watched. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and information ! You are amazing. 😍
I’m so glad it helped Adrienne, thank you! 🤗
thank you for explaining what u want the products to do, exactly
You’re welcome Gert 🤗🌺
Thank you. Very helpful video! ❤
Your talent and patience is so exceptional.
Thank you so much Debra 🥰
This has been the best tutorial I have seen yet for newbies to this art form, it has really helped me so much. I am brand new to this art and have been watching a ton of tutorials and have become very overwhelmed. I was ready to give up because everyone is using different products so I was starting to spend a lot of money trying to get the same products. Your video really eased my mind that I don’t necessarily have to go out and buy the same products but to be aware of the consistency of what you’re mixing up and to be aware there will be some trial and error with using different products. I love the look of cells and lacing but so far I haven’t had any success in creating them, I even used silicone oil too but no cells appeared so I have no idea what I did wrong. I am going to try the CA that you’re teaching here and I hope I have as good as results as you did. Your work is beautiful!!! This newbie thanks you for making this video,, I subscribed to your channel so I will definitely be watching more of your videos.
As a forty plus carpenter, trying to ease my way into woodworking,as my body wears, your videos have motivated me to try this out. Most of my life I have shied away from art, only because I couldn’t draw a decent stick person 😆, not because I don’t love art. So just know that your videos have inspired me to try something new, so thank you very much, your efforts are appreciated! 🌎✌️👽❤️
You’re very welcome and I’m so glad, seriously give this a go! I gravitated to fluid art because I’m like you and I just make a stick person look sad 😂 but seriously it’s really a lot of fun and relaxing. 🥰🌺
Oh wow. I saw a ghost figure in the second one! Thx for your demo.
Oh that’s so awesome 😃 I’ve been known to see a lot of skulls in my pieces although I haven’t seen any lately 🤔, I’m glad you enjoyed it 🤗🌺
Very informative. I never knew about this technique until I found you on You Tube. Thanks!
You’re welcome Karen 🤗 this technique can be so diverse once you get to know the components, you can truly make it your own, have fun with it! 💜
Oldy but goody. Taking notes😁
Aww thanks Holyn 🤗💜💜
You’re my favorite teacher from now on I can actually understand what you’re saying and see what you’re saying. Fantastic job
Thank you so much Annette, I really appreciate that 🥰
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent!
You are an excellent teacher. Thank you. I learned so much.
Love your podcasts
Thanks so much!! I actually have and briefly looked at the course a few months ago but I was brand new to acrylic pouring and didn’t understand that a lot of this is science. I’ve watched your video a few times and am sitting here mixing paints the way this technique calls for. You are such a patient teacher. And btw an excellent tilter! We are so hard on ourselves.
You’re very welcome, Maureen, thank YOU!! I’m glad this video has helped you with the blooms! Let me know if you have any questions and have fun!!! 😃😃💜💜
Thank you this was very informative. I’m going to try and bloom today.
Beautiful ❤
Hands down the best tutorial out there. Thank you kindly.
You’re welcome Bruce, I’m so glad it was helpful 🤗
Thank you for passing along your techniques for the Sheleeart bloom. It's true that some of the items are quite difficult to find depending upon where you live, but you came up with some great ideas to make things work with whatever you find. 😉 Thank you for creating these videos. I for one am excited to try a few of your ideas and see what happens. 😊 ☺️ You are a great instructor and I'm happy I found your videos.
I’m so glad this has helped! I also did experiments not too long ago with just US floetrol and paint to see how it would hold up for all the components and was pleasantly surprised. If you haven’t checked out videos 188, 190, 192 & 194, give them a go especially the last one, it may help 🤗
THANK YOU so much for sharing! I feel like this is a hidden secret society of techniques! I got lucky finding your video. Much love! 🥰🥰🥰
You’re very welcome, Nicole, let me know if you have any questions, the blooms can be a bit challenging at first 🤗💜
Beautiful 😮
All credit to U, Excellent Tutorial. Beautiful colour combination👌👌👌👌👌
Thank you so much Renu! 🤗🤗
Great video, thank you. I am trying for some time to obtain cells, so I hope that this tutorial will help me grow in my art.
What a great informative video. Thanks
I’m so glad it’s helpful, that was my goal! ☺️💜
Thank You for this helpful video
You’re a good teacher. I love your videos. I feel sorry about the fact that you are not In Canada.
Thank you so much Louise, I’m glad you enjoy them! 🤗💜🤗💜
Really excellent tutorial so thankful, for all of this valuable information for this newbie …beautiful, works,on your channel..stay blessed
You’re welcome Isabella, I’m so glad it helped you 🤗🌺💜
I've been viewing many videos on pouring and just found yours today. Oh..you are the best- thank you for being as detailed and sharing how your thoughts go when pouring. It is sooooo helpful- I can't tell ya enough.
I’m so glad you found it helpful Kris, thank you 🤗
Very helpful. Thanks😊
Beatriz Bernal
I'm a new subscriber, and your channel also brings new joy into my life. Thanks
I’m so glad Beatriz, welcome to my channel! 💜💜
You are great!!!!!
You explain clearly. Thank you and your paintings are gorgeous
You’re very welcome, Denise, thank YOU! ☺️💜
I’m so glad I found you
I’m so glad Judy! I’m happy you found me too 🤗🌺
I’ve been watching your videos a couple of years now but I’ve never gotten around to telling you your so good! I’ve been playing around with your technique and it’s really fun, but harder than it looks! I love your designs and patterns. How do you know when to stop spinning? My “good stuff” always flies off the canvas!
Thank you for the tutorial. Very beneficial!
You’re welcome Jeannie 🤗 I’m so glad it helps 💜
One of the other artists I watch here on you tube told me about you....I think it was Karen from Waterfall acrylics? But it may have been another wild wacky and wonderful artist...with a huge heart and a glorious laugh....there are many here on you tube. But anyways....here I am and I am so glad to be here! New sub here....lol. Ty ty ty for your hard work and patience as you share your knowledge. I learned something new!! I am grateful!! I will also put to use what you have shared! Auzzie flotrel is way too rich for me...lol so I am so glad you did a comparison with the American as well!! I have finally learned why my CA disappears or is so thin it barely shows up on my paintings! Now back to the art room to put into practice what you have so generously shared!!! TY!
Haha! Well that’s awesome, I’m so glad you’re here too!! Thank you so much! And I’m really happy I could help! ☺️💜💜
Thanks Jody. You are sooooo helpful! Just watched this video for the third time and I think I finally got it! So appreciative!!!
You’re welcome Barbara 🤗 I’m so glad this was helpful for you! Have fun on your art journey! 💜
Jodie, thank you sooo much. Your videos are really wonderful and you explain everything so well. You are my inspiration xxx
You’re very welcome Christine, I’m so glad I’ve been able to help on your art journey 🥰
I took the course and it was so basic .. I think it was a waste of money. I felt that I learned all of this from other videos and the technique as revolved to a whole new level
I’m sorry you felt that it was a waste Julia 😕. I do agree that the original course was a bit lacking as I had some questions after I took it myself but the fb group is well worth it with a lot of good people & information in there to help you along your journey. They are revamping the course and anyone that took the original course will have access to the new one so maybe that’ll help a little. The technique has definitely evolved significantly and so many artists are taking it into different directions. 🤗💜
@@ThePaintedDreamer sorry that was tacky of me to post .. hopefully the new video will reveal more info and techniques
Jody, a beautiful pour! ❤️🥰🌟👍🌈
Thank you Dee 🤗🌺
Thank you! I’m going to sign up for the course I think. This video was perfect! I believe I have watched it before and forgot, but now I understand much more about what you are talking about because I watched this in “kindergarten class”. Now I’m in first grade! Looking forward to the group too!
You’re so welcome Jennifer, I’m just glad I can help 🤗 .. if you do decide to take the course, I’ll see you in the group, they really are a fantastic bunch! 😃💜😃
@@ThePaintedDreamer yes ma’am, I’ve already paid and group pending!
Looks beautiful
Thank you 🤗
That was SO helpful and enjoyable. Thank you!
Many thanks❤❤
I watched quite a few videos by other artists and this was the first one that convinced me to try it. Thank you so much.
You’re very welcome Mary, I’m glad I was able to help 🤗 have fun on your art journey 💜
You are such an excellent teacher, you have made so many beautiful pieces, you should get some command hooks and hang some artwork on the heating duct work. 😉
Ha! That’s a good idea, I need to spruce it up a bit down there 😃. Thanks so much Kathy! 💜
that little blower is super cute! if I didn't have an air brush already I would get one!
It really is so much fun to use! And pretty cheap if ever you decide 😉
thankyou so much for your reply,,, for some reason I missed it til now.... !!!
Thank you so much for this vid. I have been struggling with my blooms. Watching you has given me new life in the bloom area. 😀. At least I understand the process better. And of course the paint consistency process. Your are a wonder.
Oh I’m so glad this video was helpful for you Rhonda! Don’t give up on it, it can be a challenge but once it clicks for you, it’s a game changer!! 🥰🥰
Thanks you! This is helpful.💕
I’m so glad Robin 🤗🌺
Amazing flip painting 🎨👍 thank you for sharing amazing contant 👍. Best wishes for your next project
I appreciate that, thank you so much! 🤗🌺
I love your tutorials !!! You're the only one I've heard explain about waiting for the middle to slide !!! I've heard about waiting for the CA to settle back in, but not about the "movement" of the middle... Thank you so much !!! Great job...loving the Christmas colors !!!
You’re so welcome Debora, I’m so glad I can help! Thank you so much!! 🥰🌺🥰
Thank you Jodie
You’re very welcome! 🤗🌺
That was the best tutorial I have seen!!! Thank you so much! Game changer for me❤️you are a great teacher… keep it up!
You’re welcome Donna and thank YOU, I’m so glad it helped 🤗

You’re welcome Dawn 🥰🌺
Excellent tutorial and demonstration. Practice Practice Practice builds confidence and therefore better blooms. Thnks. 🤠
Thanks so much Anthony, I’m so glad it helped. Practice definitely helps build confidence in your blooms and getting to know your products too 🤗🤗🌺
Beautiful, I love it!
Thanks Roxana! 💜💜
Thank you for your great presentation . I have wanted to learn to do this for so long. With your help I feel more confident in trying ! I think they all came out great !
You’re welcome Sandy I’m so glad it has helped 🤗 enjoy your blooms journey and have fun with it! 💜
You are awesome Jody!! You are helping me So much- Thank you for your expertise and patience in explaining everything so well. Understanding the concepts is the key to success! I hope anyway!!!!!!!!!
You’re so welcome Barbara, I’m really glad I’ve been able to help! Practice, getting to know the paints and components you are working with as well as understanding the concept all go hand in hand and you’ll be creating your own amazing art but I always say remember to have fun with it as I know firsthand how discouraging it can be when you don’t see results you may want at first! Have fun Barbara 💜💜💜
Beautiful love the colors too
Thank you 🤗
As a tutorial, I am grateful to you!
🙏🏻 Thank you so much, I hope it helps ☺️
You are a great teacher and it is so nice not to have that annoying youtube music playing during the video.
Thank you so much Linda! Errr well, some of my earlier videos have that annoying music but in my more recent videos I did away with it and I talk through my videos now so keep that in mind please 😉🤗💜
@@ThePaintedDreamer Ah, well, I just discovered you so I guess I haven't seen the earlier ones yet, lol.
I will watch the earlier ones anyway. I really enjoy your videos so I will just turn on cc and turn off the volume.
@@lindalowney1404 🤗 Thank you 💜
I tried to do this and wondered why you couldn’t just cover the entire board with the pillow paint?.. would it make any difference? it’s so beautiful, thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Beautiful. I loved how you didn't leave a big blob of white CA in the center, and how it sunk so it was colored. I loved both of them. Thank you so much
You’re welcome, thank YOU! 🤗💜
I wish I had watched this when I started a month ago. I've spent more than I would've hoped to figuring this out but until this video I didn't know what our why things are going wrong so thank you so much! I know what to stop doing now
You’re very welcome, Lisha, I’m so glad it helped! 🤗💜
Beautiful piece of art. Love your colours. Glenis
Thank you so much! 🤗🌺
Jodie, I didn't go for a torch to get rid of bubbles . A Bic grill lighter worked just fine. I am having an absolute ball with this new art, thanks to you. Bill Eldridge
Just be careful, house paint scorches easier than acrylics and the varnish is flammable and can be toxic when heated! I’m so glad you are having a ball with this, that totally warms my heart Bill! 🤗💜
Your videos are fabulously helpful!! You do great work and have enough masyrry it's great!! Thanks so much Jody!!
Enough mastery! Much appreciated!
I’m so glad they help Barbara, you’re very welcome! 💜💜💜
Thanks for sharing. Realy very beautiful! Greetings from Hungary!
You’re very welcome, Katalin, thank you so much!! 😃🤗💜🌺💜
Thanks your awesome,
.
I really like your teaching style. You are clear and repeat the concepts more than once. Very nice.
Thank you so much Lesa, I’m glad to hear that 🤗💜
I love your videos. You explain everything so well and take into consideration different people around the world. You go the extra mile, which for me makes you stand out from other people doing tutorials.
Im from Australia but it’s your videos I turn to 😊
Thank you so much Michelle, I truly appreciate that, it means a lot and I’m so glad they are helpful for you! 🥰🌺
Amazing

You’re so welcome Raine, I’m so glad my videos have helped. Have fun!! 🤗💜
I'm a new viewer & I must say your videos are the best. Your explanation of how things work & alternatives to making things work is so helpful. After watching tons of videos I finally understand. Thank you so much & please keep bringing us all along so we get as much enjoyment as you do
You’re so welcome Anita, I’m so glad they have been helpful 🥰 Enjoy your art journey 💜💜
Yeesh! Thank you for this. Had to go back to basics today and having re-poured and scraped over and over I thought it best to check out your earlier blooms. Now I know, my colored paints are too thick and my CA is also. BTW, I too suck at tilting - am just a bag of nerves every time! Good job though - it ain't easy at all.
You’re so welcome Lulu I’m so glad it has helped! You do want your paints to flow nicely off the stick and not be gloopy and flop off. There’s a wide range it can be with that so it doesn’t need to be exact but too thick paint can give you issues as well as super thin. I hope that made sense 💜💜
Turned out beautiful! Thanks for sharing 💕
You’re welcome Janet, and thank you! 🤗💜
Thank you for this video it answer so many questions about CA and how to blow and what to look for.
You’re very welcome, I’m so glad it helped you! 😃💜💜

Beautiful Blooms. I really love the way to explain things!
Thanks so much! I’m glad I can help ☺️💜
This is so beautiful! ❤💚🖤
Thank you so much! 🤗🌺
Thank you for this. Your recipes work for me. I did the cell activator recipe, 10 to 1 ratio using US floetrol and Masters Touch titanium white because I dont have the Amsterdam and it worked!
Oh yay!! I’m so glad it worked for you 😃 you’re very welcome! 💜💜
Cool! You have the same paint shirt that I do! :) Thank you for all the videos. You're awesome and your work is amazing!
Oh that’s awesome 🤗 you’re welcome Alanna, I’m glad they help 💜
