Notre Dame football show: Singer & Hyde react to coaching rumors, transfer portal, much more
#notredamefootball #GoIrish
There really is no “ off season” anymore for College Football. Good for you guys as far as content😊. I miss the old days where after January 1 I had 7 months of stress free Saturdays but with Portal and NIL now you always are on high alert! Glad I have you guys to turn to so can sort through the noise for the facts👍 Go Irish
Thank you for watching and see ya on the next show
Looking forward to and feeling great about the 2025 season. My personal opinion is this is just the beginning of great things for Notre Dame Football.
Love the comments!
What a great show good work guys
Thank you!
Man that was quick, good hire
Move fast and get to work on 2025.
Didn’t Jaden Greathouse “ show” us someting? Think he Fields , Faison can be an elite group
I’m inclined to agree with you. I think Fields, Greathouse, and Faison alone should definitely be a much improved WR room than this past year.
And if Pauling plays like he did two years ago it could be ELITE! This is without even including any of the young talent we have on the roster.
Let’s just hope one of our three Quarterback options turn out exactly as we are expecting!
Couple slots. I am talking about an outside the hashmarks WR who you have to be aware of on every snap. ND has not had that guy in many years.
Looking solid, I'll have to look into ash a bit more. Blanchard seems solid.
Thank you for watching.
Love this show. I have to say the negativity in the comments, specially the Live Chat is unwarranted. All signs are pointing up right now for ND football. Teams are always losing asst coaches when they’re having successes like ND. Haven’t seen many bad hires by Freeman in the last 3 years. Chill and enjoy. None of us has any control over it. Control the controllables.
Focus on what you can control! Thank you for the joining in the chat.
Happy to keep you guys employed! Total junkie over here
Thank you!
I have a theory that CMF wants to grow as a head coach himself and coordinator candidates with HC experience get priority, all other things being equal. Not a criticism in any way, shape or form, just an observation. Hope we keep Mickens and Rudolph too...
Thank you for the comments.
8 months NFL experience. Let’s not get too excited boys
4 NFL seasons of experience. Thank you for watching.
@ I’m talking about Blanchard.
@@briancribbs Ahhh gotcha. Yep it is still experience and the NFL is a different animal. All experiences are good in my book.
@ no doubt. I think he’s an upgrade from Bowden
@@briancribbs Fingers crossed this becomes official.
@TimHydecoach. I agree completely. All we heard all season was what a great culture of the Team had an in particular the offensive line. May be a disgruntled parent or something somewhere, but I think it is a big nothing as well. People trying to compare him to Chancey Stuckey way off base
Completely agree and thank you for sharing your comments. It's laughable when you hear the OL coach lacks communication skills. The OL room lost a 3rd string player in Chan to UConn. Rocco & Coogs are grad transfers. ND has had a handful of those the last 10 years. Pendleton was 4th when you look at Billy, Rocco, & Jagusah passed Sam in the playoffs with his return. ND is in a great place in the OL Room heading into 2025.
Doesn’t exactly excite me, but I trust Freeman.
Darn good ball coach. Doubt Freeman is hiring someone who does not come recommended to him.
I am skeptical and concerned about the DV hire!
If the Irish can end up with a composed throwing QB for 2025 I think Jaden Greenhouse could have a break out season and Faison, Fields will also benifit.
Appreciate the comments.
Do u guys put any credence in stories that some in OL Room had some “communication trust” issues with Rudolph? All seems vague and I feel 3 “ starters” who went to Portal did so based on thinking they wouldn’t be starters next year
Yeah I haven’t once heard that I think our OL should be insane next year
Pendleton received 400k in NIL from Tenn and ND likely wasnt going to spend that amount on a backup.
Chan wants to play now and went to UConn. Pendleton saw the writing on the wall once Jagusah was the next man in once back. Rocco and Coogs are grad transfers. People chasing a story in my opinion.
@@traderz7416 Yep, I heard that as well. That is a crazy amount of money, but when teams have a major need to will get desperate. Good for Sam and good luck to him.
You guys need raises with the new playoffs and extended season
It's all fun when we get to chat about ND Football.
Last QB battle- Zaire, Kiser
Yes, to a tiny point in my opinion. I say no because Kizer was coming off 11 starts and a Fiesta Bowl trip. Add in we never heard from Zaire after his few snaps in game 1 @ Texas.
@ yes, but that was due to injury. Zaire won the job for game 1…another questionable Kelly QB call for sure
@owenninjamaster5397 Kizer started every game in 2016. Zaire started 1st 2 games of 2015 and got hurt. The QB battle was for 2016 and Kizer was the QB all season long.
I'm not liking the Ash hire. I've heard he's hard to get along with and a lot of players at Rutgers didn't like him.
I agree with you. I heard about him also about his character in my research!
Well it can be quite different when you are the voice and message of the program and when you are tasked with falling in line with the head coaches message. Not to mention the notre dame player is pretty different than the Rutgers player.
Keep researching and you will find more opinions on the positive side.
@@ndirish8435 Keep reading, you will find plenty of other quotes. Never heard of anyone who is like by 100% of the people they come across.
@@williamhopkins7065 Great points.
Could they not found a better pic of my man. Lol. He looking like a low budget local small town wrestler.
Thanks for watching.
I would not doubt if a guy named Dusty Womble was paying Blanchards salary.
Great find...he has a few bucks!
Last 3 recruiting cycles at texas tech....barely in top 30 come on guys
Have you ever been to Lubbock
Oh boy can’t wait to lose a high ceiling QB bc we chose a kid who should be starting at Purdue. 🙄
You would rather play someone based off of recruiting rankings over who the coaches see is the best one in practice? The competition has not ever started yet.
@ I’ve seen what Angeli’s limitations are, yea he’s the “safe” choice but he won’t win you a natty. Why bring in a Fields and then keep everything horizontal bc you are limited by Angeli’s arm. We don’t need more check down QB’s.
@@derekjancart215 None of these QB's have elite arms. All about decision making and accuracy with the skill guys ND has. Fields is slower than Boykin/McKinnley. He's a big body boundary WR. Not a burner from what I see on film. Solid WR. Plus, he doesn't arrive until the summer.
@ he beat our corners vertically this year, and he’s more of a ball hawk than Boykin. Carr and Minchey have better arms than Angeli and are willing to throw it and give their guys a chance. I’m sorry but I will take the unproven talent over a guy who has shown nothing over 3 years in a system that tells me he can get win you games or improvise to save you negative plays. He’s a nice kid but he’s a taller Drew Pyne.
@@derekjancart215 Angeli has played for 3 different OC's. Boykin with almost 900 yards in 18. Had that production with Claypool, Finke, Mack all options for Book. Fields with over 800 in 23/24. It would be great if he can match that at ND. Thanks for the comments and looking forward to seeing who takes the ball @ Miami.
BK sits down we he pees. That’s all I know.
