You are the ONLY western UA-camr to actually express that this isn't a replacement to the 200 Series. The rest say "The Land Cruiser is back". Liked and subbed😊
I like the new Landcruiser but I’m not a fan of most of the tech that’s making the price tag eye-watering. I’ll wait 5-10 years after they depreciate to buy one, I’ll enjoy my 5th gen 4Runner until then.
@@tylersheppard5450 I respect Toyota, but unfortunately, the FJ was a market flop. Big fail on selling a FWD trim and being underpowered. The sales speak volumes and Toyota marketing listened. People lean towards the 200/250 and the Prado.
I bought the 1958. This is other game Paid 61k with taxes this Is an entry level with benefits Luxury is vulgarity… go to Lexus or a G-Wagon This is an entry level Base model we always ask, and I’m happy In reference about price If this car worth 30k I would like to buy a house for 250k Those days are gone
I got the same trim as I have two young kids and the base interior is perfect for them. I love that this trim has no electronic gimmicks that will never be used. And as far as off roading my dirt road driveway is about as intense as it will get. I have 20k miles already.
I’d consider the new Land Cruiser except I refuse to buy a Turbo. Historically a Turbo simply doesn’t last as long as a Naturally Aspirated Engine and they’re way too expensive.
Toyota only sold the top, top luxury trim LC200 's in the U.S. as other world markets had / have a basic base utilitarian model new LC300 we want a off roader not a 3 row luxury family school bus . Toyota can give us a LC300 base utility model say in that $70k price range ...take away some of the Lexus LX 600 =3 models and LX700h =4 models
The amount of hard plastics found on a vehicle of this price bracket is totally unacceptable!!! As soon as they pull those door panels off that will never fit back perfectly again 😢 I had a 2011 Toyota with similar issues. I ended up pulling every panel off added insulating foam and deadmat throughout... solved the issue but dang it was ridiculous. Toyota literally told me what do you expect this is a Toyota not a BMW...
This vehicle is obviously quite a nice CAR. But why does toyota time and time again short change the US market!? Could they not make available to the us market just one of the many amazing landcruiser variants available in the rest of the world!? I doubt you will catch anything similar to these US spec "Landcruisers" being used in any capacity around the world where a true Landcruiser has historically been used. Often to the extent of it"s capabilities on a near daily basis! The UA-cam channel Tinkerers Adventure took many measurements of various chassis and suspension locating hardware and bracketry and found that much of it was made of thinner gauge metal than previous 4RUNNER and GX platforms, to say nothing of actual Landcruiser's.
First and foremost you can use mid grade gasoline. My son just bought a Premium and it’s way worth the money in comparison to all other vehicles in this Genre. I have a new Bronco which is amazing itself but the Landcruiser blows it away
Boy, it’s about time the land cruiser is BACK! We need an adult in the room! Good info!

Worth every penny.
An excellent and honest review. Looks better tnan the GX!

Tbh they should do an FJ cruiser and maybe that slots in a bit cheaper?
100%

4Runner is BETTER 😂
@@honda116969 better than the FJ?
I guess so, especially since the FJ revival was a short lived niche. Revivals was the market trend back then.
Quite happy to buy the upscaled one and hope for some after market support to beef it up to old Landcruiser toughness.
What a fantastic vehicle, wow! Great review.

We just got the 1958 as well and really like it.

Good luck - within the next few years they’re all going to have turbos.
Turbo engines have been around for decades, really took off in the 80's. They aren't your dad's turbo engines that's for sure.
All you old heads complaining about the four cylinder turbo engine technology and engineering this isn’t the 1960s or even 70s.
It’s adequate- that says it all!
Great video. Terrible thumbnail. It’s not 2017….

$70k for a four cylinder truck with turbos, hybrid motor, mediocre MPG and requirement for premium fuel, not for me... good luck.
yeah having to use premium fuel only is a hard sell for me as well.

Spending $70,000 to be a part of the "land cruiser"😅
Crappy new little engine. Way to ruin a great vehicle👍🏻
MiniCruiser has poor ground clearance and a bad engine choice. BYD will roll over Toyota if not for the anticompetitive tariffs.
Price for this quality is a ripoff…. Toyota has become GM
Boo! 12 minutes of commercial!
Total Rip Off!!
