I would just like to clarify that while these dishes are made in fiji, it was the Indian community who invented it there, the various masalas and spices are consistent with that of the Indian subcontinent and therefore make the majority of the dishes on this channel Indian innovations
I am a fiji/Indian born and bred in New Zealand and my mother makes these dishes too

Going to try the now. First step you have coriander seeds but it looks like cumin in video. Am I correct? Also the “KICK” is plus/minus a few ingredients of garem masala correct? Thanks for this recipe looking forward to preparing 👍🏾
