Internets! On this episode of The Premium Pete Show, we’re joined by actor, world traveler, food guru and former host of “Man vs Food” Mr. Adam Richman!
Adam recalls growing up in New York City, moving to Atlanta to attend Emory University, and later earning a masters degree in Drama from Yale University. He discusses the highs and lows of his acting career and the countless auditions and screenings before landing his breakout role as the star of “Man vs Food”.
Adam details his best and worst food experiences as a host on the show, the ins and outs of food television, and why he’ll never turn down tasting a non traditional food. Internets! Grab a bite, sit back, and enjoy!

Vice tried with Fuck that’s Delicious. It was a great show but it fell out. You’re onto something. It could open up a new genre altogether. Bar and kitchen life but uncut.
@@joshuagumpert8910 It’s like anything else, real life is stranger and more interesting than any fiction someone could write. I listened to an interview with Matt from the show Hoarders once on XM. Talk about a character. Before that show hit he was a mess. He was all coked up and had been beaten half to death over gambling debts. He was making $10 an hour cleaning out these disgusting houses. Super interesting, all these stories about these homeowners and the mess they can’t show on A&E in prime time lol.

Adam is a awesome guy. That show was never the same after he left. The impact it had on restaurants was incredible. It was more then the food challenges , his personality made the show like a runaway train.

Because of this guy and his show. My GF and I went on what we called, "a man v food road trip" back in 2010. We took a week off work and started in Dallas Texas, then Amarillo Tx, Sante Fe NM, Denver Co, OKC Ok and back to Dallas. It was actually the funniest road trip I have ever been on, because we already knew were we were going to eat. So when we werent doing that we took in the sights. If you ever get a chance go to Coyote Bluff in Amarillo TX and get the burger from hell. Friggin awesome!
A personality we all got to enjoy,miss Adam and the real Man VS Food,can't beat that show with him,and won't watch without him!!! 😆 LOL!!!

I remember i was hospitalized about 10 years and couldn't eat for weeks. Was in constant stomach pain for weeks. Only dreamed of eating honestly. Watched man vs food and it kept me going for along time. This dude got me through some rough shit.

That NYC came out at the beginning: “Ya nah mean?” Totally changed his vocal delivery for the show it appears!
Adam left the show due to health issues. He actually went back to one of the restaurants he did a challenge at and could not do it. With him changing his diet and working out he shrunk his stomach
I remember watching that show worrying about that man's health. Like acutely worried.
I can tell Adam is a really good guy with a big heart hope everything is well with him. GOD BLESS

When Travel Channel has Adam as the front page of Man vs. Food even though he was essentially replaced by Casey, we all know who the real host of the show was. It’s safe to say that Adam’s lovable personality and charisma is immediately thought of when hearing the title “Man vs. Food”

After Man VS Food ended years ago, I just stopped watching all together before Casey came on years after. But I'm glad that Adam is doing well and that his health has improved ALOT.

This show was so awesome. Grew up in Springfield Illinois where he did a food challenge and visited a place I used to eat at all the time and came to Knoxville Tennessee where I currently reside.
I’m from Peoria last time I went to springfield I tried to go get the “original” horseshoe but they were closed for the holiday weekend the main reason I drove 90 mins so mad haven’t even tried to go back for it

One of my favorite shows! Adam definitely is Man vs Food.
When I was a kid, I used to watch MvF all the time and these days I follow few big eaters, like Beard Meats Food, Molly Schuyler, etc on YT and I can't help but think that it was Adam Richman, who started this all. He's the OG. Respect for Adam!

Adams talking about the Habanero Fritters challenge at Salvador Molly’s. My blood pressure dropped by like half after about 5 min. I finished them all, but ended up at the hospital. The pain is to this day, the worst shit I’ve ever felt. See you can’t just finish the fritters, you have to also eat the sauce. That’s what puts it over the edge.

That happened to me after a chilli eating competition , I was in tears all night on the toilet it was one of the worst feelings I have ever had .
Wasn't a competition but I had eaten some Bourbon Street Chicken one day and they must have went heavy on the bourbon because I was a damn mess all night.
