I truly believe "Million Miles" will always be one of Angelina biggest hits because it will help people through the grieving process like it helped me. Instead of being on a movie soundtrack, I think Angelina will be singing this song at the Grammys when they pay tribute to those who have passed in the previous year. She's 14 still in this video .. first thing she did after joining Republic Records. She and her family agreed to say yes to Republic but all agreed that they would wait to introduce her formally to the "music business" until she was done with school. Good call you guys .. and such a gift for all of us who will be with her through this time of exploring her journey and experiment with what she needs to explore. I cannot imagine a better gift. We are all here together and blessed by her journey, her focus, her generosity and endless energy to explore her inner callings to music and music and more music. I myself am well aware of the gift this is.

The first time I heard this song I was sitting on my front porch overlooking the trailer where I last saw my parents and grandparents together. I thought to myself if they would only come out and wave to me, I would go embrace them and go with them. At 70, this is a very hard song to listen to but Angelina's voice is so comforting.

I hear this song, and feel closer to those lost that I've loved so much, because of the line "it's like he's I'm my tears". I feel closer to my lost mother when I feel a physical manifestation of her? As she sings so sweetly that she is there. She is a moving artist and I expect life changing music from her, like this, for a brighter future

I have found myself crying every single time I listen to this song of Angelina‘s. The raw emotion I felt when it was first released both with the studio version and the beautiful drawings, pulled out feelings I didn’t know I had inside me, didn’t know they were waiting to be released in a stream of tears.
As Angelina said, it’s such a relief somehow to be with the song, to let go of the tears of deep deep sorrow, joy, loss… so many feelings.
This is a couple years old now. This passed summer she sung this in Norway and lets say those belts were heard the next town over. congrats man most who fight back the tears cant withstand those last belts, they tend to crumble the walls people have up its part of her healing effect.
Tiny Little Girl
Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice will be 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. I don't think she even realizes this power she holds over us and the need to hear that signature voice to fill that empty void within all of us. Angelina Jordan is in fact the "Benchmark" for all other vocalist to try as they might to achieve.

Romeo, Angelina has touched me unlike any other musician ( and I mean MUSICIAN, not just singer) has ever touched me. I fight back tears all of the time with her performances. I have been a musician for over 55 years and have performed with world class musicians and she is just different. Also, with your jazz background, I find your reactions better than most. Keep them coming.

That cello really adds to the mood of the song. You said early in your reaction about how brave Angelina was. Think about this: She actually performed this song live in front of an audience twice this past summer! The second time she did it (When she was wearing the white dress) is simply spectacular! You ought to react to that one, too. And one more recommendation: At that same concert, she dedicated a song to her Grandmother, Meri, who has inspired Angelina since birth. Thanks for a very heartfelt reaction to & appreciation of Angelina's masterful performance - this time of her original song (1st release with Republic Records) - at age 14. Following my wife's passing, I listen to this song almost every day. It always brings tears to me eyes, followed by immense comfort. And as incredible as this is, I think her best performance of Million Miles was at age 16 at her live concert at Konsberg, Norway earlier this year. The entire song is such Beautiful Pain that it's hard to single out particular lyrics, but I suppose the line:

That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, two years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. I can't get through this song without balling out and it's mostly because I feel her pain. I have not yet experienced the death of a close family member. Angelina was 14 here and at 16 she sings this song at a concert this past summer that is even more emotional. Great reaction Romeo.

Wonderfully emotional reaction and I always expect it when reactors see this for the first time. Angelina has away of penetrating your soul.
Angelina's story is compelling and makes you want to help her achieve her goals. She is a talented vocalist who also gave her shoes to a homeless girl when she was six. She has helped raise over 20 million for children's charities. She has stated even as a child that her life's mission is to spread peace and love through the world through her singing. I believe her music career and humanitarian efforts should be embraced and supported.

This gets to me every time I hear it ( circa 1000 times ) , It is as if the Universe has given her special words to help the millions who suffer from grief every year and to make them realise there is more to Life than Mortality. Angelina is so special it is beyond words! Loving the love you are giving the Angel.
This reminds me of that time Daryl (Run DMC) was depressed and suicidal because he didn’t know he was adopted, but he listened to Sarah McLachlan’s song “Angel” every day and it helped him get through it. Then he met Sarah and she agreed to make a song with him and afterwards told him that she was adopted, too, and didn’t know it.

I just discovered you, and started with your 1st reaction of Bohemian Rhapsody, and have immediately heard your next 3, through Million Miles. I’ve really appreciated them , because you appreciate not only how she touches your soul, but the amazing technical aspects of her singing, too! AND you’re emotional, as all her fans can’t help but be!! I’m very familiar with Angelina, her story and her music ( as are millions now! All of us mesmerized!!) I’d like to put a few of the songs I think are important in her history, and that you wouldn’t want to miss- to make sure you’ve covered them! In her early years, one of her best was “ What a Difference a Day Makes” ( outdoor concert at about 8); and also “ Everytime We Say Goodbye” ( when she moved from Norway to LA- about 10) . Another killer one you CANNOT miss is “A Million Years Ago” from about age 11 or 12. Just with her great guitarist from Mexico- Ivan. LOVE them together! Mesmerizing!!! The “Suspicious Minds”- her arrangement so different from Elvis’s! Now, do you know that she and her family are strong Christians? ( Makes sense, she’s so obviously a gift from above!) She did a wonderful version of both “ You Say” by Lauren Daigle- and a very different sound for her for “ How Great Thou Art.”

It featured the artwork of renowned artist and grandmother, Mery Zamani (spouse of her deceased grandfather). Angelina (14) spoke about this first recording, “When I was in the booth, while I was singing, my tears were running,” she says. “To be honest, it was like a feeling of relief that all my feelings were written down and I felt relieved. “Million Miles” means a lot to me because it is relevant to these difficult times. I definitely want to share my love to everyone, and I hope that people can connect with it and relate to the story behind the song.”
This second release by Angelina (14) that we're watching now, is the official live in studio performance. This was followed by an official music video. Angelina's (15) kid sister, Juliette (8), played the part of a young Angelina. Although Juliette was quite young when their grandfather passed in 2018, it must have been a wonderful experience and memory to be in this song together.

You will also learn a lot of other things about him that most people don’t know.. he really is an amazing person!!!!!!!!! Just type in Kevin at age 17 at Carnegie Hall, and it should come up.
lol...she was I think 13 when this was recorded. Also see her singing Live with just a Guitar and her after a 20 minute warm up with the player and she sings ReRe's "Stay" and makes it her own. It was done about this time.
