La Tarantela, un baile aragonés-napolitano, tan internacional y divertido. Es realmente el ejemplo de la expansión del reino de Aragón por el Mediterráneo y su comercio con Africa, Asia y América.
Es un baile tan mezclado, cuyo origen resalta en las Islas de las Especias y las melodías populares de Aragón (incluimos a Cataluña y al sur de Francia que fue parte de Aragón)

Though a traditional Italian dance of southern Italy, primarily Calabria region formerly under Spanish rule, some trace its origines to Spanish culture, which even has an influence on the Calabrian regional dialect that often resemnles Spanish and its speakers, unlike other Italians, can easily understand Spanish and the reverse. But, unlike other dances, the Tarantella is danced barefooted. Some say its historical origines were as a means to work up a sweat to remove the venom from the Tatsntula spider bite, hence this dance is sometimes calked 'pizzicata' (meaning insect 'bite' or 'sting' in Italian). Other theories are that it is danced with bare feet because bare fert were used to stomp on grapes harvested to make wine.

I believe the guitar strings used to be made from cat intestines in early days of the guitar. Imagine tring to tune up and play cat gut strings and trying not to sound like a screaming cat as you played... Lij we the sort of wailing, screaming, painful guitar sound modern blues/rock guitarists try to imitate on their electric guitars with special effects pedals they use.
