I only learned a handful of easy pieces for classical guitar. My fav are the danza espanolas (9 songs?) by Gaspar Sanz. Amazing to see this dance, with the castanets. Thank you for posting this video. 🎶🎶🎶
I remember learning about the dances in college that went along with the music and just thought 🤔 this is how they got down back then? Why aren't we still doing this????
I was luckier when I was at university- I got to dance them! 😉 Not this, though. I seem to remember the Canaries as a circle dance. I certainly couldn’t have done this version!
Antiwhiteism. People no longer desire to learn the dances of our people b/c they are infected with the antiwhite belief that 'white men can't dance' and that 'white people's dances are not cool.'
Because Satan rules now. Have faith. "His kingdom come, His will be done on Earth as it is in heaven." - All that is beautiful will bloom and dazzle again.

These people dance very well, and can tell they're enjoying themselves. I've seen some reiacters seem lack luster, but this performance moved me, and I'm not someone who watches dancing, and not someone that expects to be moved by it( being moved by music is usual) . It was beautiful.
This has me choked up for god sakes what in the world?! So beautiful and free and fun and so much exuberance!! In seconds I went from a dreary 48yo, working from the confines of my crowded little paste-toned home, seeing no one but myself who is tired and my husband who is stressed and once in a while some far away faces looking gaunt on a WebEx or anonymous behind a grocery delivery bag … … to a flushed, lovely 17yo girl with flowers tucked above my ears and hair in impertinent tangles playing chase through the tall grass with my husband and once found, and deliciously breathless, we laugh and love even more until purple dusk comes bringing lightning bugs, and unicorns and god knows what else 🦌🧚🏽♀️🦋🌙🔥🌊🪐 Absolutely *WONDERFUL* how this made me feel !!! Where can I find hours and hours of this?
La danse , la musique : langage universel. Que ces jeunes gens sont beaux ! .
Perhaps because these dances, like the baroque music animating them, are essentially archaic forms, that is, not part of a live culture, other than in folkloric performance. Flamenco, on the other hand, is vividly alive and is practiced and, not merely performed, amongst the predominantly andalusian and gypsy communities that first developed it. While something like a canaries or zarabanda us a single form, flamenco I corporates some 60 different forms, including the folkloric, such as the fandango and New World forms, such as the guajira and arabic forms like the zambra. Flamenco is ever-evolving because it is a live culture with rich roots and not a museum piece. And I say this with great love for baroque music.
Very vivacious and contaminatingly joyful, delightful and elegantly danced to a most uplifting melody, I'm amazed at the skill (and fitness) of the young dancers. In my opinion early dance at it's very best.
Excellent! A fine performance! I had a smile on my face throughout their dance. It was nice to see the musicians in period costume as well...it really added to the feeling of authenticity.
Interesting to see this kind of dance performed by Russian musicians and dancers. While the dancers are clearly not spanish in their execution of the movements, they are charming and it is lovely to see. The musicians are excellent.
As a Ruro Australian, I always thought Canarios was some island in Europe with many canry birds. Until a person from my European country of birth put me straight and informed me it's actually a holiday resort and it's called Canarios, on account of its dogs there. As I speak various several European languages, I felt such a fool not conbecting the Latin word for 'dog' with the place name 'Canarios' (place of dogs). When I learbed it was named after its dogs, not the pretty yellow canary birds I had imagined, it suddenly seemed so prosaic. 'You really should visit this place. It is nice there. We take hoildays there to get away from tourists' this person told me.
So glad to see this! Stunning and delight performance, the only sad thing is that I wasn't there... Or maybe it's good, because I totally would like to join and dance together ^^
I've watched quite a few videos of this song done on solo guitar, but none of them have the "chorus" (the first time it occurs is at about 0:39-0:59). Does anyone know what piece that part is from?
Thank you, Spasibo! Very interesting. Just some advice: do not close up on the dancers faces, because then we cannot see details of the dance. Thanks again.
But I think it's nice to see how happy they look from time to time... this is not just gymnastics, it is also the joy of life. It is good to see how people were able to be happy in times that we think of as much darker than today.
To go back in time in dance is to go back to a better place within ourselves.

What a beautiful paring: the music and the dance plus the two young people. Seeing Gaspar Sanz' music actually danced opens a whole new dimension.

This dance is so fiery, vivacious and happy at the same time thanks to those amazing dancers. I enjoyed it so much, thank you.
Why must everything Spanish be labeled as "fiery" come on. Spain is a diverse place with many types of traditional dances and cultures.
thekingofm: She did not say Spanish things are so. She said This dance and music are so.

Excelente danza. Magistral interpretación. Me encantó. Saludos desde Argentina.
That was magical. I've been listening to this music as solo guitar music and it's great to see how it may once have been performed. Thank you so much.

It doesn't matter that the instruments have gone a bit out of tune, this is utterly delightful; I love it! Bravi tutti!
You must have a very good ear as I didn't notice that the instruments were out of tune.
How sweet charming and lovely , encantado, graciase, buen suerte por un vivo gwappa!
Elegant! The bow at the start was royal.
Thank you! My great-great-grandmother was from the Canary Islands and you've helped me visualize her

In old paintings representing neapolitans dancing the tarantella the couples kick their feet and hold castanets. Modern tarantella is different.

Bravo! Good to finally see how this lovely tune was danced out and by such talented dancers, and the girl is more than just pretty!
I completely agree. Girl is not only pretty, she also has that inviting smile (meant in good way) which is necessary for such kind of dance.
