The Reebok Lifter PR 3 is the third iteration to debut in Reebok's popular Lifter PR weightlifting shoe line.
A lot of athletes and lifters (myself included) consider the Reebok Lifter PR 2 as a really strong and consistent budget-friendly weightlifting shoe. So, I was excited to start wearing and breaking in the Lifter PR 3.
In this Reebok Lifter PR 3 preview and first impressions video I'll share a few thoughts I have on this model based on my first couple of sessions with them.

9:03 Hit Me With Questions!
After my first couple of sessions, I found the Reebok Lifter PR 3 to feel and perform very similarly to the Lifter PR 2.
There are a lot of commonalities between these shoes like their midsoles, outsoles, and midfoot constructions.
That being said, there are a couple of things I want to keep testing and checking out with the Reebok Lifter PR 3 like its tongue and the aggressiveness of this model's midfoot strap's velcro.

I've been waiting for this because I am very interestes in trying these out
Need a few more sessions in them. I like them for the most part, but there's also something holding me back from really loving them like I did the PR 2s.
Think a few heavier squat and clean & jerk sessions should help further highlight this. Stay tuned for the full review!
Nice vid! Can you comment on toe box vs the TYR? I love my Legacy Lifters but I think my little guys need room to splay
Thank you! It's going to run narrower than the TYR and similar(ish) to the Legacy Lifter. I'd go TYR if you're super concerned with toe box width!
I was in Utah skiing last week and we stopped in Scheels which a bigger better Dicks sporting goods store. Anyway, they carry the TYR lifters in the store, which I thought is great so you can try on before purchasing.
Are you going to review the new Keen WK 400 walking shoe just came out to complete with Hoka?
I probably won't, tbh! Not exactly within the niches I'm most interested in and I'm pretty slammed with models atm. Will look into them, though, so I won't rule them out!
Hope Utah was great!
Hi Jake, I noticed Fluxfoot wear has new shoes called adopt runners. Have you tried them ? Or are you goin to ? Thanks
I'm planning on it! Have a few other models to work through atm!
Hi Jake. Adidas Adipower 3 also writes that the heel height is 22mm. However, I compared them to my Adipower 2 and saw no difference.
Yeah, it’s odd…I go with 22mm as it’s written on the shoe.
If I can get an old pair of Adidas Powerlifts 4 vs a new pair of PR 2, which one is a higher quality shoe?
PR 2 would be my suggestion
I am just starting my weight lifting journey. I need a lift to help getting parallel in my squats. Even air squats due to a bone position issue at my ankle. Looking around, the PR2 seems to be the cheapest ones online. Are there any other suggestions for affordable beginner shoes?
Adidas Powerlift are also a good line to look into! I'd recommend these or the Adidas Powerlifts because both shoe lines tend to last a while for your money!
@@thatfitfriend Thanks. I ended up with the Do-win based on another one of your reviews. I am a total novice and will do lightweight lifting. Thanks for your reviews.
@@michaelday6987 you’ll be happy with those, too! They’re solid
Hey jake, how does the sizing on these compare to the romaleos 4? Thanks!!
I'd size these the same! They'll feel a bit wider in the toe box.
Great, thanks for the feedback! I have the romaleos but the toe box is super narrow, they’re becoming unusable!
I have a question. So i can get the lifter pr 3 for 50 euro or the legacy lifter 3 for 100 euro. What shoe would you pick?
Either or, honestly. I'd go LL3 since they're a little higher quality, but both shoes are solid!
What is the heel drop height? And should i buy this for €65?
15mm is the heel stated on the shoes. Other sites write 18mm, so it's somewhere in-between there.
That's a pretty good deal! I'd also suggest exploring the Lifter PR 2 as well to see if you can find them for a better price.
Thanks for your review Jake. I came from your website looking for powerlifting shoes for my flat feet and came across the PR 2s as per your recommendation. The new PR 3s are $40 more than the PR 2s in my country, do you think they're worth it? Would you say the sizing is similar to Adidas' Powerlift 5s? I purchased and returned a pair in US8 as found it narrow and tight, and looked to size up to US 9 before coming across the PR2/3s; would you recommend getting US 9s in the PR2/3s as well? Much appreciated, thanks again :)
I'd go 8.5 in the PR2. The PR 3 isn't worth an extra $40, imo!
Keep me posted on how you like them and their fit!
Thank you Jake!
The Black ones arrived yesterday!
My impressions, VS the Savaleos because i just ordered them too.
Nike runs small, plastic more poor quality, midfoot feels more stable not sure if this is a pro... cuz its more stiff materials. It may be not as vented.
Reebok runs bigger. No cheap or poor quality rubber etc. feels more premium, midfoot do not feel as stable, still i do not think this makes any diff for MYSELFE.
Nike is narrow af. Do not buy with wider feet, Reebok feels great, more room and because of the material, more forgiving.
Well, i ordered a bigger one from Nike, i reached the point when it is wide enough but guess what.... clown shoes, it is eventually got just too long. Looks funny, feels horrible.
Jake! I need an advice btw. for the reebok... what to keep...
one is a bit too tight the width wise on my left foot.
the half size bigger is a bit long, but no pressure on the sides. but still a bit more room according to your rule of thumb 1/4 inch.... is it too long?!
I jump, i jerk.
Both of the sizes my ankles and heels are fixed. Half size bigger maybe maybe a bit more room, a tiny sliding.
My index finger goes in the half size bigger, in the half size smaller, it is fit but tight. Thank you!
Ay! Thanks for the follow-up and feedback.
Sizing re: If you're not experiencing heel slip or sliding a ton, then I'd stick with the bigger size. Conversely, if you're having heel slip at all, dish the larger size and stick with the snugger fitting pair.
Name of the game in this example is comfort (fit wise) and what allows you to perform your best, so I'd lead with that!
Yeah true the savaleos are not meant to be for wide foots. Had the same problem, my size was too narrow and i ordered one half size up, still too narrow so i ordered 1 full size up and guess what its not narrow but I look like a clown 🤡
@@mr.tonkabean5829 Horrible... :D Got a Reebok Lifter PR3 and it is fits great. Give it a try!
After a training session, would it be ok to wear these on a stationary bike when I do my cardio?
Eh, probably, but I would just put back on your trainers.
@thatfitfriend Thank you for replying! In the end, I decided to order a pair of Dropset 2. Thanks to your recommendation! 🙂

Tremendo
These or the nano x3?
Very different types of shoes. It's kind of like comparing apples to oranges. We're talking cross-training shoe (Nano) versus a weightlifting shoe.
If you're only looking for one model, go Nano X3, as you won't want to use the Lifter PR 3 for contexts outside of squat, weightlifting, and certain accessories!
I like having both on deck so you can rotate their use based on what you're doing, but not everyone wants to bring/own multiple shoes, so if the goal is one, go Nano X3.
Couldn't help noticing the sleeve on the left knee... Hope it's okay!
It's all good! I ruptured the quad on that leg a few years back so when I'm hitting running/training hard in the same block it can get a little aggravated at times, especially as I'm peaking. Nothing crazy, just something I have to work through and be conscious of at times!
Thank you, friend
these look nice. Not nice that Reebok does not sell those models here in my country haha. the "street wear" got me laughing a lot
STREET STYLE. I think they likely just meant, they have a street look, but that verbiage...woof.
Just saw someone wear their weightlifting shoes from their car through their full workout yesterday, so I think I'm just hyper-sensitive to that atm, LOL. I wanted to tell them to not do that to prolong the durability, but I ain't that guy to butt in, you know.
