READ MY LIFTER PR 3 REVIEW: thatfitfriend.com/reebok-lift...
The Reebok Lifter PR 3 is the latest budget-friendly weightlifting shoe from Reebok and this is the third model in the popular Lifter PR shoe line.
As a fan of the consistency and price of the Reebok Lifter PR 2, I was super excited to put the Lifter PR 3 to the test and break down if it's worth opting for the new shoe or sticking with my PR 2s.
In my Reebok Lifter PR 3 review, I'll cover multiple topics to help you decide if these weightlifting shoes are right for you.
0:00 Lifter PR 3 Pros
2:19 Lifter PR 3 Cons
4:09 Performance
6:42 Price
7:14 Who Should/Shouldn't Buy These?
8:34 Sizing & Fit
9:22 Weight, Heel Height, and Insole
9:54 Construction
11:41 Final Remarks
Overall, the Reebok Lifter PR 3 has proven to be a good beginner and budget-friendly weightlifting shoe.
This shoe is very consistent with the Reebok Lifter PR 2, so for squats and recreational weightlifting, they should work well.
That being said, there are a couple of weird quirks with this shoe that I think may bother some depending on your needs.

hey, just wanted to say i really love the videos I've watched from you so far, and how detailed your reviews are without having to stretch it out to like 20 minutes, great stuff
Appreciate you sharing that and checking out my reviews!
good review and ordered pair off Amazon for under $100 and hope they work for me as a beginner. Others cost 200+ too much for weights 2-3x a week.
Awesome thanks man love the channel
Ay, glad this review helped!
I have the PRII and they fit great for the 2 to 3 times a week that I use them. I also use UA tribase 3, but I'm considering changing them to Nano X3 for the higher heel and also because they are a little bit torn.
Not a bad strategy call, imo!
Hi Jack, I ask you a question, if I already have these shoes, what others do you recommend for crossfit for greater versatility? Nano x2/3, Under Armor region 4?
All of those models work well! I'd go with a Nano or TriBase Reign iteration that has the best price point for you.
Hey Jake, thanks for another impeccable review!
A year or so ago, I purchased Nike Metcons 8 and I'm really happy with them. I'm now thinking of a squat dedicated shoe, and in Reebok EU, I see my size for Lifter PR 3 for 66 euros (75 usd?). Should I go for it?
I'm gonna keep the Metcons for Deadlifts, I'm mostly doing RDLs anyway.
My squat 1rm is close to 200 KG, my deadlift 1rm is close or equal to 220 KG, I'm mostly powerbuilding, not doing any oly lifting movements.
What's your opinion on my rant, generally? 😂
Thanks in advance.
IMO, yeah, that's a solid price. Plus, they'll last a while and you can keep them in the toolbox for whenever you want em!
I like the rotation. Think it can be useful going from Trainers to Weightlifting Shoes depending on the context/needs/goals at hand!
Thanks a lot for the feedback, I ordered them, let's see!
Thank you for the reviews etc.
@@RaKzaroK ay keep me posted! Welcome 🤝
Would you recommend this over the powerlift 5 for squats and deadlifts?
Both are fine, tbh! I wouldn't stress it too much. The Lifter PR 3 will give you a tad more width.
Also, I'd suggest not using them for deadlifts and I have content on my channel explaining why!
Dude, if you had to pick between these shoes or the nano x3 JUST for lifting in the gym, which one would you pick? Without thinking about the money, just performance and comfort.
Very different style shoes! One is a weightlifting shoe and the other is cross-training. Kind of like comparing apples to oranges
I’d go Nano X3 if your goal is one shoe for everything. Weightlifting shoes will have a narrower scope or use!
@@thatfitfriend Thanks for answering. I'll try both but I think I'll hit the nano x3 because of versatility.
I have had a pair of nike pegasus zoom 31 for a good while and I think they need to rest. lol
Hi Jake. Do you know if the heel to toe drop is 15mm or is the heel height from the ground 15mm. I've been doing crossfit for 4 years now and have never used weightlifting shoes. The only reference I have is the Metcon 8. Would you say you feel a significant difference in heel height between this shoe and a Metcon 8? Just want to make sure it will be worth buying these and that it will actually make a difference for my squats and olympic lifting.
You will for sure feel the difference. Any time you read heel elevation you can safely assume that also means heel to toe drop for weightlifting shoes.
Metcon 8 = 4mm
These = 15mm
It’s a pretty big difference that you’ll feel when lifting. Stoked for you to test them!
@@thatfitfriend Thanks Jake. I appreciate your feedback.
Think you could do a comparison video between the Reebok Lifter PR, Adidas Powerlifts and Nike Savaleos?
Have a best budget weightlifting shoe video coming out next month!
Hi. Can You help me with the sizing. Those are my first weightlifting shoes. I have ordered 2 pairs and with one my toe is touching the front when I stand and in thin socks. Bit it is not like a big pressure. The second is is not touching. Should I go for the smaller ones as it gives more protection and breaks in or maybe for the bigger one and give the feet space. I have red instructions fut they say different things and they do not say how they break in and should it be taken into consideration for this particular model. Normally I prefer to buy a bit smaller shores and they break in but with those I have no idea. Thank You for any advise
I think you'd be fine with either based on the context provided. If you like snugger fitting shoes, then keep in mind that these will stretch a bit over time, too.
It's really preference, though, if they both feel "okay" and you're not experiencing heel slip or the toes jamming then I'd go with the pair that feels a little better!
@@thatfitfriend thank You
Damn it, why didn’t they give that gum sole to the LL3 as well. :( 15mm sole makes it a nice option for shorter lifters, too. Comment for the algo-gods.
Feel that! Maybe there will be one coming out.
Bless us, algo gods 🤝
I bought this shoes before watching the review 😢 im a powerlifter, for squats they will be fine but... Do you think i can deadlift with this?
I would not deadlift with them and that's due to the elevated heel changing the mechanics of the lift and adding ROM. I have some content on that topic if you want to check it out!
@@thatfitfriend Damn😣😓 Thanks for the answer! I'll watch the video about it!
@@hectorastorga5536 It's not a big deal! Shout if you have Qs
@@thatfitfriend Thanks😁😁
Hey Jake, I have just ordered these and my main problem is in the gym is hitting depth in my squats due to ankle and hip mobility. Do you think this shoe will help me as a beginner to hit those deeper squats with more stability?
They should! Don't forget to also expose and build your squat to flatter shoes as well. Think of these as tools to rotate in based on what you're doing/what your goals are!
Hey bro would you recommend these shoes for bench press?
Depends on your anatomy and needs. If you're a powerlifter with shorter legs trying to optimize setup/leg drive, then they can be useful, but for recreational lifters - don't really need em'.
@@thatfitfriend I'm currently looking for my first shoes that will be useful not only for squats but also bench presses and i find this video and i think this shoes for first is pretty good i think in this price
💪🏻
Hey Jake, you gonna review the Nike free metcon 5?
Bought and being shipped as we speak!
@@thatfitfriend awesome, really looking forward to watch the video. I’m trying to chose between those and the adidas dropset.
picked this up for £40. Can't go wrong
Heck no, that’s a great deal
Me too brother 💪🏻
I wish their pr trainers were wider, I had the 2s, and returned them, just way too narrow.
Feel ya there, def not the widest model on the market!
