So I have the metcon 7 and 8 and while l like them both I was looking for a shoe more geared towards weightlifting. I wear insoles in every single shoe I put on at all so that height adds to the “hybrid” height of these. With all that being said, I agree with everything you’ve said about the density of the heel, spacious toe box and overall comfort of the shoe. I also think the canvas material adds a small amount of structure and maybe even class to the shoe as a whole.
