    The bait stations are so they don’t carry off the bait as well. Just because it’s gone doesn’t mean they ate it. Non target animals can also get into it. Just throwing it is irresponsible and stupid.

    • @mommymilestones
      @mommymilestones  5 років тому +11

      I guess you didnt see the follow up video I posted. The opossums and raccoons are immune and carry it off to eat at home. As for irresponsible, a rat can't fit in the bait stations included. They are mice size only.

      Along the wall is correct ,mice use the wall for cover and safe passage they will travel longer distance from a to b just to highlight the wall ,bait stations might sound like what you need ,the posion is not suppose to kill large animals it's a part per million thing ,possums play a critical role they eat small insects and hunt mice ,clean up road kill ,but they will attack your trash and smaller animals ,glue boards might work you can tell if you catch one ,or some thing like a bait station catch, or a kill and contain staion ,or a spin trap. Station .

    Where do you get "Tomcat bait blocks"? I went to my local stores and they all only had d-con bait blocks. Are people hoarding the Tomcat version because they think it will kill coronavirus? Is that why none of the stores have it?

    Tom Cat bait blocks most definitely work! The key is to put all of your food into cabinets and/or plastic containers. This way the mice have no other option but to eat the Tom Cat bait block. To make it even more appealing, add some ramen noodle sauce on the bait block. First cook the ramen noodle sauce (beef or chicken) in little water in the microwave. Pour it on the Tom Cat bait block. It only takes a small bite for mice to die within 2 - 3 days. Greatest stuff on the planet. Great video as well.

    I have a puzzling situation with my Tomcat. The first time i had put it along side of walls where I know the mice come from, the next morning the bait was completly gone...and s o were the mice...OK, so far. no mice for about a week, usually could tell by droppings. Now, the babies have grown and I get a new family of mice. More Tomcat bait gets eaten and got rid of those, but the last bait i put down is still there over 2 weeks. Does the bait lose's its effect after awhile? On occasion i do see a mouse, but they are ignoring those baits. Are they smart enough not to eat them or like I asked do they lose their effectiveness?

    The Tomcat mouse blocks I brought from Home Depot. Each bag contains 8 cubes with a station. They are light green color and does not come with the red label package as you suggested. I have looked at the review of this product that the mouse has to bite a few times before it dies. If the mouse finds water, this product doesn't work. To be honest these are next to useless. I had not seen a single dead mouse but seen mouse droppings were green only.
    The one I am looking for it is "one bite". I have got one from Amazon two week ago called DeciMax. The review is good. I am given this one a trial but It is a bite pricey, $125.00 per buckle. Thank you for your information.

      This green bromethalin stuff absolutely works. Never tried the red stuff but wouldn't mind giving it a shot.. i recommend for anyone to get these, throw a few up in your attic, even if you don't hear anything moving up there, because if anything ever gets up there, it'll die before chewing up your hvac ducts and causing lots of damage.
      Edit: take a guess at who had to repair some hvac ducts this morning hahaha

    I had used it at least for three years of this product, Tomcat Mouse blocks. I kept feeding them and mouses kept coming. I don't think it works. I finally gave up. They need to come up a better product before I would re-consider it again. I understood, mouses have to eat this product for a few times before it becomes effective.

    I have also used this bait for rats and mice. I put it in sections of 3 inch pvc pipes to prevent dogs and other animals from eating it. I also put out some water to prevent the rats from chewing more holes in my dripper lines. No matter how much I put out it always gets eaten. I'm not sure if I just have a ton of rodents or this bait is slow acting. I have also been experimenting with a mixture of peanut butter and baking soda which you can form into small cookies. Thanks for posting and God Bless...

    • @mommymilestones

      God bless us rat and mice killing sinners! The PVC pipe idea is terrific! The bait box included is way too small for a rat, only a mouse would fit. The rat I found was the size of a 3 month old kitten. Try the other Tomcat with Bromethalin ( It's an Orange and White tub). It is a little different formula and wiped out all the mice in the pole barn that grain seed is stored in in a matter of days. I filled a small coffee can cleaning them up a week after I laid the bait block out in about November/December. The damage they cause is terrible. Ive been trying to fix my shop vac for months after finding a nest with babies in it in June. Im too cheap to buy another another one just to have them wreck it . Good luck with those drip lines.

      Okay that makes sense. I wasn't sure if they were sold out. As far as the PVC bait stations go. The county extension office where we live has a design where you use a 3" T fitting and three equal lengths of 3 PVC pipe. The top of the bait station has an end cap for adding more bait. It should be easy for you or your husband to build. I have had very good luck with this design. If I could only get the gophers to go into those bait station and eat the bait. Have a Blessed day...

      Tom Cat green blocks work slowly by denying a vitamin source in the body of the rodent.. I cant remember which one I think Vitamin B which over time kills the animal. I found this out because my small dog ate a block once and I brought the dog to the Vet who contacted poison control and told me all that was needed was a big Vitamin boost and then Vitamin pills for 30 days... I was luck and got the dog treated within 48 hours... No effect had taken place and blood test was still good. I was also told by poison control that Tom Cat had recently changed the chemical makeup of the Newer Blocks of poison and if the dog had eaten one of the newer blocks then nothing could be done to save the dog... Wow! So, point being the Tom Cat blocks work very slow 1-2 weeks to kill... and do not use if you have pets that can get to it... attic would be my only place of use. But! Moth Balls are cheap and work inside the house.. rodents HATE the smell of moth balls so you do not need many moth balls to make mice run the other way...
