    The saddest part is definitely the daughter. She’s worried about her mum, yet she is morbidly obese herself and well on her way to doing the same to her own kids. Such a vicious cycle they ALL need to break.
    People need to stop using the excuse of loss to excuse their addiction. I’ve felt loss and I’ll be damned if I’ll let the people that care about me go through loosing me if I can prevent it. Your reaction to ANY situation is a CHOICE. No matter what the situation, YOU and YOU ALONE are responsible for that.

    • @steph8703
      @steph8703 2 роки тому +17

      Exactly. I used to be an addict n was in n out of rehabs n jail and the amount of ppl I've met, even non-addicts in jail, always had some story n someone to blame for why they r the way they r, and why they've done the stuff they've done. It's such a victim mindset and honestly infuriates me, I hate ppl like that. And I've met wayyy too many. I was an addict, I had extreme trauma as a child and yes it really messed me up, but once I was old enough to understand what happened to me, basically once I reached my 20s, I recognized that I was responsible for my own actions now. As a kid and a teen it's different, I didn't understand yet, I felt pain and whatnot and wanted to escape the memories, nightmares and constant fear n that's wat basically pushed me to alcohol then drugs. BUT then I grew up, reached an age where I became self aware, even tho I was still doing drugs I was able to recognize that I was the one doing this to myself, and that my actions and those consequences were my fault and no one else's. As an adult, we have full control over our minds, behaviors, and choices. We all experience traumas on all levels, it's tough but it's sadly a part of life. But u choose every day, to either try and get help, try to work thru ur issues so u can get better, or not to. Sitting there n basically saying ur gonna do fkd up shit or hurt urself bcus of stuff someone else did to u, is just insane. It's not an excuse. If that trauma gave u depression, its hard but u go to a psych doctor! Whatever the issue, u find the solution, and that's it. This lady just loves the constant attention n sympathy she gets, I doubt she'll ever lose the weight bcus that wud require eventually becoming independent. N her having all her kids n grandkids living with her shows just how codependent she is. Just sad🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

    This is a horrible, yet very sad scene at the same time. The fact that she stayed in bed and was in pain a lot of the time just to move, I cringed at that. I can understand why Dr. Now was mad that she didn't stay on his diet plan, yet I can understand to some degree why that was. I do sympathize with her in the loss of her brother, but letting the circumstances get to you and overwhelm you is an even sadder thing.
    Although this is all that I've seen, I've done a little research and sadly, Lisa was dismissed from the show in her sixth month and now, she is no longer with us as she passed away at the age of 50. From what I understand, it was due to various illnesses she had prior to her appearance on My 600 Lb. Life. Although this was around 2018 or so, I sincerely hope that her family can get their lives on track so that they don't endure what she went through, it was horrible. This is probably the saddest patient on this show. Looking at her own circumstances, she wasn't even given a chance. Losing a parent is traumatic, losing a brother especially so, but the fact that you're blamed for your brother's death due to circumstances that aren't under your control, that just tells me the home you lived in was straight up abusive. It wouldn't surprise me if her home life was terrible before her dad died, but unfortunately the only real evidence for that is how evil her mother is.
    Considering the bad home life, the lack of access to healthy food, the lack of mental health resources, the traumatic experiences, and everything else, it would take an act of God to turn someone around from all of that. As frustrating as it is to see the amount of drama she brings into literally everything, I can't help but think she didn't have a single chance to do better.

    The moment they start complaining about a diet I would drop them as a client because that proves they won’t care

    Why would they let her just lay there, all exposed in front of the world!?

      She was probably okay with it herself and it's censored so yeah

      They're not exposed. The fat covers the private parts.

    I can't sympathize her cries for pain because the remedy for her pain has always been completely in her control.

    I'm trying hard to empathize with this woman, but she seems to love her "Victim" role. If she truly felt humiliated and ashamed, she would stop eating, give her children and grandchildren back their life and stop whining. That poor, sweet young man shouldn't be subjected to his Grandmother's nakedness and laziness.
