"Let's go inside and have a closer look".
Thats why I love this channel so much!
Hahaha :D makes it fun!
Wow, that is a clean machine...usually the engine compartment is all dirty and greasy and the operator cab is dusty and dirty as well ..great video Jason
Yeah I was very impressed with how well this one was kept. And I've been in a couple 1800s over the years.
somebody looks after her well, maybe a recent re-paint too? nice video.
Somebody realizes how much they cost
I bet it'd be a sweetie to run. All Hitachi stuff I've herded has sure been so. Thanks, Pal and BLESSINGS to yall!
Thanks for the great videos. I worked in the strip mines in Clearfield county until the company I worked for went out of business. I now live in Texas but your videos keep my memories alive
Good deal! 👍😃 Thanks
Sweet machine! The pump that runs the pilot controls flows more than the auxiliaries on my 50hp Massey Ferguson!
Haha! How about it!
Excellent tour my friend. 👍
Thank you :D
Nice clean Hitachi. Hard to believe its age with it being in such nice shape! One of new enterprises. Looks like it's operating on a new job site off the south side of the pa turnpike near New Stanton pa. Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it! :D thanks
Great once again. Thank you for making these for us!
You're welcome 😁
I always chuckle about the missing paint and crunched tins across the counterweights and lower side panels. I bet they all have a bunch of wonderful stories to tell us all eh my friends ! LOL.
The operators and mechanics should get a complement.
I like that machine clean too,I'll catch ya on the next one
Well, that’s a monster excavator. Don’t see too many of them anymore with the twin engine configuration like that. I bet it’s pretty loud in operation.

Great video! I think I photographed the other EX1800 owned by that company (either that or it's the same one with a new paint job). It was on a road project in Bedford, PA. Pretty sure they owned two of the machines. Pictures I have are from 2002.
New Enterprise's ? When they widened rt 30 ?
The old 1800’s were a pretty chunky unit!…a coal mine near me had one and they would turn it loose every so often on a highway job when they got one…it never lasted long on the jobs because it moved the dirt so fast that it worked it’s way out of a job in a hurry and then it was banished back to the coal mine again!..lol!!..one time they did a highway job with it and built the highway up to a river but there was no bridge in place yet so they either had to break the machine apart and truck it around to the other side or drive it through the river and go to work that day!..the environment guys were there at the time and told him if he harmed the river they would fine him $250k…he asked his superintendent how much it would cost to break it down and truck it around with down time included…his super told him it would take about 3 weeks give or take 2-3 days with the trucking costs it would be about $300k +…he told him to get his check book and he wrote a check to the Department of Environment for $250k and put it in his chest pocket, got up in the hoe and drove it across the river…then he shut it off and got out and yelled across the river to the government officials and said “come get your check!..lol!!
That's a nice machine.
It's big! Looks like someone has put a lot of money into it.
What size of trucks run with it?
You could run 100 tonners under that machine no problem
2 travel sperds...slow and slower 😅
Seems like that machine was refitted for a new job?
We really need to start a gofundme and get a new camera for this guy LOL. Looks like the same camera as his videos from 10 years ago.
No need, my S22 does just fine in 4K :) This video was filmed in 2018. I still have like 40 videos in this quality.
@PAmining I still enjoy them either way. Can't wait til you get through those 40 and we get the S22 quality!
I'm trying to get rid of em lol
Is this machine still being used? Or was it retired?
Can someone tell me if you have two identical machines in the same weight class (backhoe vs shovel)what has the fastest cycle loading time?
Both can be equally as fast in the right setup
Hey when u do these videos can u also tell us if the machine is retired or still in use at the mine. It's just cool to no Because in past videos I didn't no Because the machine's looked older ect.
Yeah, I mean obviously this one is still in use. You can tell it has new cutting edges and was just trammed to where it's parked lol
Are you allowed to fire this equipment up? It would be Awsome to hear it
People would not be happy with me if I did lol.
@@PAmining lol, do you work for a mining company or is this a hobby?
Yes I work for a coal mine as the mine engineer. This channel is my hobby
what sort of jockey leaves the bucket crowded and hanging over the drive motors
What sort of an idiot makes a comment like this lol
I dont know, maybe makes it easier for the fitter to put the new teeth on the bucket?
The bucket is curled so it can be greased
I retired as a Union Operator and I really enjoy your videos.
Question....is all this equipment just sitting due to the government shutting down the coal mines or is there a different reason ??
This particular machine was just shut down at the end of a shift when I filmed it. Thanks!
