    To clarify his comments on the knob vs the lever clamp designs, you typically choose the knob if you're using plates of different widths. You may have different plate widths if you use Arca-Swiss compatible plates from different manufacturers on additional bodies or lenses. The lever design is much more convenient but it opens and closes to a single width (which is configurable).

    Markins Ballhead get stuck very fast, after I send it in for cleaning the ball head was terribly stuck after 50 uses!!!

    I am a bit confuzed here. How can i use/see the bubble level when i have a camera attached on the tripod. Every new position i need to remove the camera...adjust the release plate holder until its level and re-attach the camera ??? The L-bracket just the same problem ...you always need to remove the camera. Why not just tilt the camera vertical in the slot of the ballhead. Removing ,attaching ,removing ,attaching again. No good if you are a pro and time is money.
