I use trip advisor every year we plan our all inclusive vaca to riviera maya. We’ve been happy so far with secrets maroma, the old secrets silver sands 10 years ago, and last year the Valentin Imperial. This year is El dorado royale for 10 days.
@@RenataPereiraTV silversands was 12 years ago… but it was very lively and fun. I’d say it catered to a younger crowd as it was closer to Cancun. It’s no longer a secrets now. Secrets Maroma is the height of romantic atmosphere from the rooms to the grounds. It was very relaxing, quiet resort… mostly mid 30’s and up in age. They have a taco and pizza place by the pool that is super good! And all the food at secrets is good. My favorite was the sushi. They have great shows too. The valentine was just last winter and I really loved the grounds! It’s truly a Mexican paradise there! Lots of walking but it’s gorgeous! The main pool is huge and you never feel like there’s too many people in it. There is a loud side and a quiet side. The food I felt was “meh” nothing really grabbed me and had me wanting more except for the salmon at Taman Sari! By far the best restaurant/food there. The shows were good, the band played for dancing at 11 but we were usually done by then. We took gorgeous 25th anniversary photos with them while there and I’m so glad we did. The beach is also a gorgeous LONG white sand with barely any sargasso in December. The staff is amazing! I feel like the valentin caters to return guests and there are a ton who’ve gone for many years. I’d say it’s a multi age resort.

I'm taking my family to an all inclusive in a couple of weeks! Thank you for the info. Could you advise us on HOW MUCH to tip? Is it per day? Per drink? Per meal? Per stay? How much would you tip for a glass of wine, for instance?
Hard question to answer. What resort are you at? How much are you paying? Are you a member of the resort/time share? I will give the "pat" answer - if you feel the service was exceptional then do tip. But that does not help. Also, is this a first time you are going to AI All Inclusive resort?
We really enjoyed all the places we visited, but my favorite was Isla Mujeres. Gordon’s favorite was Cozumel. About Playa, I loved how everything is so close and that apart from the cenotes you can walk everywhere. The beaches in Cancun are dreamy and astonishing, much better than I expected, but the city is very commercialized, and the hotel zone is as expensive as NY, unfortunately 😕

Will do. Please see our other all inclusive video as there is a bit more info there. The only thing I can add is make sure about the al a cart restaurants are open and get reservation early in the day. There are lots of pools and the ocean, though they have strong waves, would be good for kids especially with parent supervision who are good swimmers. If you staying longer than a few days, the beach at the "I Love Cancun " sign is good tho the waves there are stronger....it is good to get of campus, only 20 minute walk and all free. Have fun!

Hi Michael! We haven't stayed there yet, so my only tip at the moment is to be very careful as to where you book. I just read about a few cases where someone created fake websites pretending to be the official Xcaret Arte website, and a lot of people got scammed. They booked (and paid) thinking they were booking via the official page, only to arrive at the resort and find out they lost everything. About booking via 3rd party sites, we never had problems using hotels .com. We concentrate all our bookings there, so we reached gold status in their loyalty program and now we get a few benefits at certain hotels. But make sure you use a well-known site like that, or booking, Agoda, tripadvisor, trivago, expedia, etc, any of these big ones.

We do not budget for it because we're in an all inclusive. We find that is the whole point why we choose all inclusive to not have to walk around with money so we do not. We always have great service and paying extra should never change that.
I can attest to the whole "check out the beach BEFORE booking" thing: right before the start of the scamdemic, we stayed at the El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya. While the resort itself was absolutely SPECTACULAR, with the best food (allergy-aware, btw) and service, this resort's beaches were the absolute worst I have experienced anywhere in my llfe, and I've seen a few. They were all super-rocky, all the sand they brought in was washed away, and due to the angle of the coastline the wind made the waters way too rough to swim or sail or do anything at all in, really. Just 20 min further down the coast the beaches get nice, calm and completely white with sand. Never again will I repeat this mistake.
You become more gorgeous everytime i see you ! When I win the lottery i wiil buy a house in Laguna Beach ( the place of my dreams ) and invite you and your husband to stay 🥰 I will buy booze from the supermarket and fill the fridge !

Лично мне много не нужно : это вид из окна , мягкая постель, температура воды рано утром в бассейне и в море и всё. Я не любитель валяться на пляже и всевозможных мероприятий . Я не гурман в пище , но не откажусь в незначительной дегустации местного приготовления и не более. Больше предпочитал просто любоваться местным колоритом. Единственная проблема это с языками , что в поной мере восполняла моя женщина, которая считала это моим плюсом поскольку меня не возможно было обмануть местным жителям и прочему персоналу . )))) Касаемо видео , то кому то это бесспорно пригодится сохранить значительную часть своего бюджета , особенно когда люди обращаются в туристические агентства, которые зачастую под "всё включено" многое не договаривают .

Bribery is totally unnecessary. Those who produce videos like this are guaranteed top service just by advertising the need to tip. This attitude is obscene and offensive.
You are not understood. We produced this video and yet did not get top service. In our opinion, all-inclusives are not worth the money as you pay top dollar for a resort and the expectation is that you are taken care of well. Not so, especially during high season when there are lots of tourists. Having said that, these Caribbean AI sure have things figured out.

Do you tip for every drink that you get and how much?
Yes… we tipped 20 pesos or 1 dollar… about the same of what I saw other people doing. Every single time 🤷♀️

They range in price from maybe $150 per day to hundreds....they can get quite expensive

I love Turkey! Been there before creating this channel. We had plans to go back in 2020, but with covid we had to make changes and couldn’t reschedule yet. But we will 😉

We did enjoy and I can see us returning....such a beautiful place
We do not budget for it because we're in an all inclusive. We find that is the whole point why we choose all inclusive to not have to walk around with money so we do not. We always have great service and paying extra should never change that.
I agree but one should remember...there are classes even within all-inclusive...different color bands. I think it is an unfortunate way to go.
Did not know, that Mexico is so expensive 😮

I can attest to the whole "check out the beach BEFORE booking" thing: right before the start of the scamdemic, we stayed at the El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya. While the resort itself was absolutely SPECTACULAR, with the best food (allergy-aware, btw) and service, this resort's beaches were the absolute worst I have experienced anywhere in my llfe, and I've seen a few. They were all super-rocky, all the sand they brought in was washed away, and due to the angle of the coastline the wind made the waters way too rough to swim or sail or do anything at all in, really. Just 20 min further down the coast the beaches get nice, calm and completely white with sand. Never again will I repeat this mistake.

Лично мне много не нужно : это вид из окна , мягкая постель, температура воды рано утром в бассейне и в море и всё.
Я не любитель валяться на пляже и всевозможных мероприятий .
Я не гурман в пище , но не откажусь в незначительной дегустации местного приготовления и не более.
Больше предпочитал просто любоваться местным колоритом.
Единственная проблема это с языками , что в поной мере восполняла моя женщина, которая считала это моим плюсом поскольку меня не возможно было обмануть местным жителям и прочему персоналу . ))))
Касаемо видео , то кому то это бесспорно пригодится сохранить значительную часть своего бюджета , особенно когда люди обращаются в туристические агентства, которые зачастую под "всё включено" многое не договаривают .
Гордон передает привет! Мы более простые люди. Кажется, это большой бизнес в мексиканской Ривьере, поэтому мы решили, что должны помочь другим в их решении.
Мы слышали от европейского последователя, что в Испании все включено намного дешевле, поэтому, возможно, американцы тратят больше.

Знаете Рената, в моей стране не ощущается какой то кризисной ситуации и прочего негатива, а введённые внешние ограничения надеюсь будут способствуют развитию привлекательного туристического бизнеса в нашей стране.

Bribery is totally unnecessary. Those who produce videos like this are guaranteed top service just by advertising the need to tip. This attitude is obscene and offensive.
You are not understood. We produced this video and yet did not get top service. In our opinion, all-inclusives are not worth the money as you pay top dollar for a resort and the expectation is that you are taken care of well. Not so, especially during high season when there are lots of tourists. Having said that, these Caribbean AI sure have things figured out.
