Thanks for sharing your experiences with these products. I am adding the Paula's choice to my list. CosRx & Farmacy are constants in my skincare rotation & the Paula's choice super-light wrinkle defense SPF, but I'd really like to try more of their products.
Hi Melanie I have very delicate super dry rosacea and eczema prone skin, but mandelic acid is something I have used before without issues. The by Wishtrend 5% mandelic toner is a nice option and a little more gentle than 8% with 2% lactic acid probably. My skin doesn’t need a lot of exfoliation as I use azelaic acid and urea regularly, but if I want a little extra then mandelic acid is a good choice for more sensitive skin. I would chance trying a sample of the Paula’s choice (after patch testing) as I like a lot of their products. The Farmacy isn’t for me and the tannins in the Cosrx would dry me out (similar to witch hazel which my skin hates). Best wishes x
@@RazorbackNation75 My skin doesn’t mind it. With rosacea our triggers are all different and sometimes it’s calmer than others. I can’t use glycolic acid or vitamin C at all, but urea is fine. All I can suggest is patch testing to see if your skin reacts.
@@lorainemcgillivray77 Oh my gosh. I can't do vitamin c, adapolene, any exfoliating acids either. I'm gonna try a sulfur ointment and azelaic acid 15%. I entered menopause last year and talk about skin changes. Oof. I have type 1 rosacea possibly mild type 2. Hormones are wonderful. 🤣. Ty for answering. ❤️
@@RazorbackNation75 I’m sorry to hear that. I’m on prescription azelaic acid and have been for a while. I started with the lower doses however as it can take a bit of acclimation and it can prickle on the skin to start. When I am in a flare I can’t use any sort of retinoid or exfoliation- just super gentle products. However when it’s calm I can use a mild exfoliant or a retinoid with some caution. Vitamin C is a complete no (even the derivatives). I hope you get the rosacea calmed down soon x
I look forward to trying the Paula's Choice Mandelic Acid product. I retried The Ordinary 10% lactic acid last night and it burned. I won't be using it again without diluting with moisturizer.
I love the dr Brandt microdermabrasion scrub. I use it every couple of weeks in my shower for face, neck and chest. I also use skinceuticals glycolic renewing wash once a week. And i am still obsessed with Elemis overnight peel, Sunday Riley good genes and Paula’s choice bha toner.
Thanks for the CosRX recommendation for young skin! My daughter is 16 and struggles with breakouts. What would you recommend for a moisturizer for young skin?
I have Stella using the Isntree Green Tea Fresh Emulsion moisturizer right now and she really likes it! Comes in a larger bottle and absorbs quickly so it doesn't feel greasy on her skin. I really like it too! Would for sure recommend!
Ah i need to buy a liquid exfoliant. I moved to college so i left the paulas choice bha we share with my mom bc she has the same type of skin as you not that she uses skincare very often but i figured it would still be good for her to have the option but im missing an exfoliant i feel like my tretnoin is missing some stuff on my nose. Also my tret is a bit irritating to use daily even tho my derm told me to. So it would be good to sub in something gentler but still exfoliating. Since even without the tretion my skin peels off in sheets in the winter time 😅.

How are you able to handle urea with having rosacea? Ty. ❤️

@@lorainemcgillivray77 Oh I'm fine right now. Just occasional acne that I never had until entering menopause. 🤣
