Any comments from anyone about The Inky List Mandelic acid in the tube? 10% mandelic. How impactful is that in comparison to this PC product or others?
Thank you for this review. I have been thinking of purchasing this. It’s so nice to get someone else’s real opinion. Your skin looks amazing. Hello to Berkley ❤
Super excited about this. I'm pregnant and was just using my ordinary lactic acid but was wanting something to help more with texture. This might work! Thanks for the great review.
I bought this product last week and have used it about three times since in the evening. I will say it does a nice job so far of gently exfoliating but I am having a hard time getting past the smell (kind of like a rubber chemical scent) and also I do find it to be sticky and tacky initially. I don’t like having that feeling on my face and during the last use I rinsed it off my face after 15 minutes. I will keep using since I did pay for it and it does a leave the skin looking quite nice in the morning.
Sounds promising since I have very dry skin I tend to sway away from acids. I just use micro dermabrasion scrub from DRMTLGY, which I love. Thank you for the review and may consider this one and by the way, I love your lipstick color .
@@juhnetmickerdy I don’t think I want to try glycolic acid. My skin is very sensitive as well as dry. if anything, I will try Urea which I’m waiting for to arrive soon..
I was looking at this but landed on the Sofie Pavitt 8% Mandelic acid. I also use Tretinoin but still struggle with adult hormonal breakouts. Ever use the Sofie Pavitt one?
I tried this and found it too mild. They want you to work up to using it twice a day, and I’d rather use something that is effective using it twice a week.
@@vesbarrow My skin doesn't like hyaluronic acid, so TO products don't work for me. Right now I'm using the lactic acid serum from the Boots Ingredients line (purchased at Target in the U.S.).
Could you PLEASE respond to my question?? Can I use this in the evening after cleansing and before retinol? I use the Neutrogena retinol cream every night. 🙏🏻
Paula's choice RESURRECTED AND SAVED MY BLACK ACNE PRONE SKIN. After starting hormone replacement therapy my oily skin transitioned to dry and sensitive so i had to stop the bha/aha duo that use to give me a FILTER FACE that needed no makeup!!! ugh I miss thwt duo but this new product should work wonders for me
Yes! This has helped with texture and it gives a smoother look and feel to the skin and this can help with hyperpigmentation and close comedones. Salicylic Acid their BHA toner would be better (work quicker) for blackheads and clogged pores.
Hello, I’m purchasing this here in Australia, I will only use it one night a week as I use Tretinoin. Can I just cleanse, use this, then moisturizer? What moisturizer would u recommend please? I use Cerave night renewal with Tretinoin. Thank you $47 here in Australia
LOL smoked meat? Oh gosh... Mine doesn't smell like this and I personally never noticed a scent and I am someone who has a pretty good nose lol..Where did you buy it from?
@@SincerelyMissAsh Let me reiterate. Did this product irritate your eyes when you applied it nowhere NEAR them? I have tried products where I did not get anywhere near my eyes yet they were irritated. I hope that makes sense. 🤣I apologize for the wording. Does it have a fragrance smell to it? Tysm. ❤️🤗
@@RazorbackNation75 inkey list PHA toner is not strong smelling or irritating. Medik8 has a PHA too. Neither make my eyes water with the strong “fumes”.
Hi Ash, what toner or mist can I use before lactic or mandelic acid please? The NIOD mist is $80 here in Australia. I cleanse then what do I put on the night I use AHA ? Thanks
Hey!! You don't necessarily need to apply a facial mist or toner before this product if you don't want to. If you still want to I really love the Glow Recipe Cloudberry Bright Essence Toner and the Ilia Base Face Milk Essence is lovely as well. You can't go wrong with either one as they are both hydrating.
@@SincerelyMissAsh I’m getting Paula’s choice weightless advanced repair toner. I know I cleanse, tone, lactic acid. How about mornings? I use timeless C serum, Naturium Arbutin, Tranexamic acid, moisturizer, sunscreen. Where do I use the toner please?
Hey Torontonian Sistah! K as my favourite skincare guru.. I need your help! I bought the Dr. Dennis Groove X Strength Daily Peel Pads (as per your suggestion) which I LOVE! Ltl pricey but worth it in my opinion. I also have and use The Oridinary Lactic Acid 10% and the Kate Somervilles 'ExfoliKate' + a few other randoms. My question to you is when do I use what? It's all so confusing.. do I rotate between the three nightly as l've been doing? I really don't know anymore.. So now do I run and buy The Paula's Choice and complicate my life a Itl more? It's $58 Cdn at Sephora for only 3mls. Kinda Nuts in my opinion! I know it has some other ground breaking ingredients, but are they worth the extra expense? Back to my original question.. when should I use what exfoliant? If you had any other suggestions to my evening routine, that would be welcomed as well! Thanks so much 🤗
Hey my fellow Torontonian🥰 So, you don't need to go out and get the PC Mandelic/Lactic Acid unless you are looking for a gentle approach of exfoliation and something you can be more consistent with. Since you are using and enjoying the Dr. Dennis Extra Strength Daily Peels and The Ordinary Lactic Acid then honestly, that is sufficient enough. I also feel like the Dr Dennis pads provide quick results and no other exfoliant is really needed. If you wish to continue with The Ordinary, Dr Dennis and the Kate Sommerville, then you could alternate your nights (especially if your skin isn't too sensitive) or you could dedicated one to a specific week and alternate your weeks with all three. Hope this helps💗
If I remember right "the budget dermatologist" on youtube said like a year ago that lactic acid under 10% act only as a moisturizer and after 10% it has this exfoliant function. So I don't know why they call it an exfoliant when it's only 2%, maybe marketing? So only the mandelic acid can do this role in this product. Quite controversial to me on this one.
According to Paula’s Choice dictionary lactic acid exfoliates at 5%_12%. So still it’s not going to be an effective exfoliant in this product but maybe the 2% concentration contributes to the exfoliating power of a product that is formulated with another potent high concentration AHA 🤷. Worst case it will be a hydrating ingredient.
I don't care for nor buy Paul's choice. Don't like there prices which have escalated exponentially over the last few years. This is not in any way a dig on you. Love you. Take care, be well and don't change your lovely self. I'm currently using the ordinary's glycolic acid. It seems to be working okay. I do use Trenton on at night, the 0.1%. starting with differin, went to Trenton 0.05 then to the .1%. I do have a question for you. I'm finding that the tretinoin.1% is not working as well as it did. I had a tube of differin left tried that and it seemed to work better. Is this normal, possible, or am I really going off the edge here. Thank you again.😢
So I was just thinking of an inexpensive alternative option for a lot of product! .. $58 Cdn for 3 mls? Beyond Nutso! Why not just buy a bottle of The Ordinary Mandelic Acid 30ml for $10 and mix it with The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% for $10.00? or a lesser strength Acid from The Ordinary, combine them, put in a bottle from the dollar store and mimik Paula's Choice for only $20 Cdn for 60mls??? Just sayin… 🙂
but girls think the more expensive it is the more effective tho, also if u mix them, it wouldnt be 10% anymore, it ll be 5% lactic and 5% mandelic acid 60ml
I can’t even use my face wash with glycolic acid in the Winter with my tretnoin lol I get dry peelies even with my protini lactic acid 🤣 I’d rather use Tretnoin than anything else tho … this one sounds nice … 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
I just ordered the VEGREEN Serum that’s like CosRX Snail mucin… I just tried the CosRX moisturizer the first time the other day and my face was plumped out the entire day heck still the next day … It was kinda irritating me a bit so I got the vegreen it is supposed to be even better … I cannot believe my 11 lines upper lip liner… gone!!! 😱😱😱🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
This has been a game changer with how my foundation looks without any irritation:) I’m really glad I tried it!
