If you are a fan of music this type of docu-series is great because you get an insight into an artist and how they work in a studio. What you take away from it is that his best work is still to come and he doesn't reflect on the past when the future is more interesting . . .
Ummm...his work since early Oasis is clearly and honestly, shit. Don't do cocaine, kids. It destroys the initial element so key in making good, passionate art...SENSITIVITY! And it doesn't come back. Love Noel, but songs since coke and early Oasis...obviously shit. But again, love him and he deserves the absolute very best! The biggest fan of him!

Top draw stuff! What with this and The Noel Gallagher Guitars & Gear Interview for That Pedal Show last year, I can only hope someone digs out more content along these lines from the GOAT and his ways of creating classics...
Good watch! Thank god you captured him actually playing guitar - for a moment I thought he just arrives on the scene now like a superstar boss, instructing everyone else to produce, then buggers off. Enjoyed the reaction to DTTW. Very interesting that he doesn't get into the nitty gritty of coming up with cool drums parts / guitar tones and becoming too attached to them, thus maintains overview and is able to make arrangement decisions. On the otherhand, wants to keep the vibe of demos. Oh, and he had that new years eve demo penned way back then. Very interesting indeed! Thanks Anais!
👍Great show in little Wigan, been a long time since the Bellingham, good support, too. ✌ Lottery's bass sound, man, that was an unexpected live highlight. The High Flying Birds, in town! wow, not much left on my bucket list, now👌🥂
: Say what you will about the man, the fact he nerded out over amps says enough about him. His sense of tone through proper amplification is second to none.
I do miss the excitement and boredom of being in a recording studio. It's a weird place to be. You can spend hours listening to the same song over and over. Each time, a tiny bit gets changed. It's a great place to be and at least for me, far easier to get into a song writing or production headspace where I'm reasonably happy with what I've done. Having people to bounce off really helps.
Genius at work, knows exactly how things should sound and vibe of each track. Unreal to have this documented and to see the thought process behind these brilliant songs come to reality.
My takeaway from this video is that Noel really likes art and decor! Someone definitely put a lot of thought into the look and mood of his studio, and around 18:25 you see art on the walls and pilled along the floor. He seems to particularly be a fan of pop art.
It's a really good album. Clearly the man has lost none of his songwriting chops since the Oasis days. And he's a better singer than ever (always liked his singing voice anyway). Some of those notes are so high. "Council skies" is a super piece of work.
@paninovevo1162 what did he think or experience each time he went on stage all over Europe and folks were singing along, screaming, selling out. What was his subjective experience? That is 1 question. I have others.
God, that woman kept interrupting Noel. Kind of ballsy! At least she was paying attention and not tied to her f*cking phone. I like her. Also, IAN BROWN and BOB DYLAN and PEP. This is magic. Thoroughly enjoyed this. I'm having minor surgery in a little while and I'm fasting and this calmed me all the way down.
I could listen to Noel telling tour stories for hours. Such a funny and - if you know how to take his words - humble man.

That Pep cardboard cutout has me baffled everytime I see it. I’m like “why they ignoring him ?”
Noel playing drums footage! What a treat.
Throwback to Tailgunner!
Lars Ulrich taking notes.

You can see how Noel is a passionate, a humble and an introvert person.
Introvert? yeah, dunno about that. 😆
Yes, most creative people are introverts. Being an introvert doesn't mean "shy".

Easy record. Below average songwriting these days. Noel is a god.

The recording process is impressive. Noel knows what he wants in his songs.
