You can find hundreds and thousands of Noel interviews from over the years. But, this one is what I'd consider to be Archival quality. Something that could be watched in 50 years or put in a R&R museum for future generations to understand the place and time. It is an amazing capture.

I'm guessing it might be that he's always been asked about song writing and his band stories. I dont remember him being featured in guitar magazines in the 90s much. I've read his opinions on semi-hollw guitars and how Johnny Marr gave him a Les Paul when he was starting out as part of some general Oasis interview, but he had to be steered away to other topics eventually.

I think it was early summer 2021 when, out of a clear blue sky, I heard the unmistakable sound of a Merlin engine at a decent throttle. I leapt onto a picnic table and blazed away with a phone camera. Checking the pictures and zooming in, I could see the iconic wingtip shape of a Spitfire.
I then lived in Kent, near where many scratch RAF grass airstrips were based, the closest being Bekesbourne.

I had many a concert in front of the mirror in my middle school / high school days before I got to play on stages, and I would play through What's The Story? Morning Glory for hours up hours. I love the humility of Noel knowing that while he is not the best guitarist, he is an iconic one, and more importantly a great songwriting guitar player who understand melody more than most. I can't agree more with him when he says there are plenty of guys playing flashy stuff with zero substance and no hooks - they will NEVER be remembered. Noel will never be forgotten comparatively...I still can't believe part of his early great sounds was a Marshall Valvestate with only a 12AX7 in it! From the bedroom to the stage indeed.

I owe Dan and Mick so much gratitude after watching this episode a couple of months back. I am 67 and started playing acoustic guitar two years ago. And because of my age it was more my kids that knew Oasis, and whether it was the stories about the drugs and alcohol, or the bad behaviour, or not, whilst I knew a few of their songs, I confess that I ignored them as a band. This interview had me hooked, and I have now watched so many of Noel's interviews (still ignoring Liam), and High Flying Birds footage, that most of the songs I am playing on the guitar are Noel's songs. I owe Noel an apology for ignoring his talent for so long. What a gem. My Noel Gallagher playlist is now on high rotation. Already the first 40 seconds of this video absolutely blew me away. The sound is so immense.
Hearing this part isolated and played by Noel is insane. Never would have thought. Goosebumps.

Watching Mick stare at the mute pedal as the amps hissed had me dying. I know that feeling!
Needless to say, amazing interview. It gave me a new appreciation for Noel as both a person and a musician.
Thank you Dan and Mick, and especially thank you Noel.

The songwriter of a whole generation. Love the bloke 😎This interview is one of the best, and for a young generation still crying out for their own Oasis is a testimony to his talent and place in musical history

The closest thing the younger generations might get to the magic of Oasis is Nothing but Thieves. That said NBT has seemed to lose their way with indie/alt rock and head towards electronic music now, so another one bites the dust...

So true ! The younger generation is still looking for their Oasis and the next songwriter with half the talent of Noel. Such a prodigious body of work !!! At their peak he was responsible for cranking out SO many MONSTER songs and performing in front of massive audiences!! Very impressive! Not many bands have even ever had 2 songs as good as Oasis let alone their whole catalogue ☝️
He still has the passion and the fire still burns brightly.
Kudos to Noel and the lads for bringing us this interview.
      PURE Gold 👊👊

I have to say this is the best ever interview I’ve seen with Noel Gallagher. His knowledge and passion for music drips throughout. Been a fan since the start of his journey and was fortunate to see Oasis live in ‘97. People around me loved Liam but I always said Noel was a total geezer. Couldn’t take my eyes off him throughout the gig and the playing was next level. His originality and songwriting is why I’m still a fan after nearly 30 years. He’s THE MAN!!!🎸🔥👍🏻

What a joy! One of the all-time classic TPS episodes, no doubt whatsoever. And soooo pleased to hear Noel’s love for the Page - as he says, one of the greatest pedals in history and Simon is a genius. This was such a highlight in every single way - well, well played boys, and Noel - truly, you’re the real deal rock ‘n roll star for millions and millions of us.

Notice how most interviews with musicians are just the same handful of questions, and the artists tend to look like they are just going through the motions?
This right here is exactly what the world needs more of. I love seeing musicians talk about their gear, how they got it, why they use what they use. After all it’s all born from the same love of music just like you or me. It’s incredible the change in how they act in this type of situation, you can tell they genuinely are having a good time. This is how you get those candid honest moments and get a feel for who they are.

50 Minutes to end this and I have to say this is the best of the best interviews I have seen of NG. This is the real Noel. A real fanboy of Rock 'n' Roll culture. I always thought of him as a mystical somehow and this is the proof. That's why Oasis touch many people's hearts, because this genuine stories behind the making of all this recordings and songs, that now are collective memories for millions. I love music because of this backstories.
