Thank you! I was aware of most of them, however, it is always nice to be reminded. Important to have the current science-backed knowledge to approach health and wellness.
Thank you, i really needed to hear that last one. Although it would beneficial to know if I could do walking on recovery days and more intense cardio on other days or would that be too much?
Assuming we only have concrete roads to run on. Is it a big deal if we're doing a 4km run 2-3 times a week? What if we wear highly cushioned shoes like HOKA?
So true! Years ago I being a macho kinda guy decided to "run through the pain," as in the arthritic knee variety. I made maybe a mile and went from mild hurting to screaming pain. The adage, "listen to your body" pertained. Pain is a sign something is wrong. Ignoring it is major league stupid. But I (of course) had to find out for myself. Like when you're kids, "If everyone jumps off a bridge ..." I'm the next one off the bridge. Same with over-exercising. Burn-out and just again, pain. True. Jumped off that bridge. That said, walking is fine. Stationary bike to nowhere, as recommended by my doctor is fine. What was noted on here, Mother Nature makes a natural joint lubricant. But you don't get it by sitting around (Yet another jump). This holiday season will be a test of exercising and avoiding excess. Well done, gentlemen!
I can only seem to sleep 5 or 6 hours tops--Im 73. It seems like my body gets stiff and painful if I sleep longer. Every now and again I'll sleep 7 or 7 and 1/2, but I have to be really be TIRED.
I injured the ligaments on the outside of my ankle many years ago but it never healed properly i limp a lot any advice would be appreciated???? Please????

Sorry how is Bob?
@@scottbirger Bob is well, thanks for asking!
Good. Do something every day. At least something light. Sleep is vital recovery time. Get 8 hours. IMHO.
