I enjoy your instructional videos! You don’t go on and on about your pets, your moods or your personal life. You get to the point and yet you are very personable and honest. Thank you! This is why I subscribed. Do you have any tips for us women who have been nail biters forever and really want to quit and have those pretty hands? Thanks again!
Thank you so much! I dont have any tips but my best friend is actually a nail biter and she constantly puts hand sanitizer on her hands. That way when she goes to bite her nails it taste bad and reminded her how dirty hands are. Worked for her!
Listen, Method #2 is still better than what some nail techs have done with my acrylics. Last time I got my nails done, I had polygel on, this lady took the nippers and did that for the entire set. Not to mention she almost snatched my natural nail off several times. She DESTROYED my nails. I love this video. I wish method 2 worked for me, but every time I do it, i end up chopping my nails up (like the floss cut into my nails to the meat 😔😔) but you made it look SO easylol
Love that you told folks you would block them if they had something to say! My kinda girl… internet trolls are the worst! Keep being you sis. And btw your mellow tone of voice is so enjoyable compared to all these animated UA-camrs! Subscribed!
Thanks girl! Love method #2 for a fast option once & a while. And I love how you made it crystal clear to keep harassing, rude &/or obvious comments out! We know!!! Lol
"Reuse, reduce, recycle ♻️" lol, I feel you! And I liked your method! Just what I was looking for!! Thank you girl! 💕😘 I'm thinking of adding oil, like coconut or olive oil, when sliding the floss through the nail, I think it could help with the removal process. I am at home on weekends too, so I should get over my anxiety and do my nails this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes, I think horribly but we'll see 🙈 Have a great weekend Alex!
Finally. I got so frustrated trying to soak them off using acetone and whatnot but the process would take 1-2 hours just for removal. This really is a life saver for me thank you so much.
Thank you sooooo much! Like I tried the soak method and it was horrible! It took too long and my nails were still damaged. Thanks you for showing me the floss method! It actually takes only a few minutes and if you do it slowly, not so much damage! 🙏🏼
I just bought a kit to try and didn't think of how I would take them off. Thank you so much for showing both methods. The second one is what I basically used when I had acrylics, so I am very relieved that will work for the polygel nails as well. Thank you. Thank you, Thank you!!!!
Thanks so much for sharing this info; the floss method worked for me (didn’t have acetone or a file) so I gently lifted with the floss pick & went in super slow with the floss area. Took about 30mins but I have my nail length/minimal damage. Thanks again🙌🏽
I was so excited to try this method… 😆 my nails are SHREDDED. Well, the three that I did this way. But my nails have always been really weak and thin no matter what. Definitely for those with stronger nails. 💅🏻
Absolute life saver! Just tried poly gel for the first time and messed up HORRIBLY, meanwhile I have an important event to get to in a few minutes 😭. Thank you so much cuz I don’t know how I would have survived… from now on we’re staying with regular nail polish lol
Can you do fills with polygel instead of having to do a new full set each time there is grow out? If so could you do a video showing how you do that? Love your channel!!
I do always just a fill to the existing overlay. I make clear overlay on my natural nails either with polygel or soft gel. So when I'm filing off extensions, color, etc I just go down to that clear layer, remove any lifting and fill the rest. It protects the nails, no need to completely remove everything.
I always fill my polygel. I only start from scratch if: (a) the nail comes off, (b) I'm totally changing the design (going from a opaque nail to a clear encapsulation which will be part of the final design), or (c) I feel like it needs a total refresh. I'll remove any portion that has lifting and leave whatever is solid and build off it with a form.
I think that is genius to use the flosser!! I hate filing, I always make my cuticles bleed, and that hurts! Thanks for the tip. This method is a LOT better than the stuff they do to nails at the nail salon. Using a fake nail to pry acrylics off. Horrible, and way more damaging.
New subscriber, love recycling and I love my nails thick so I use a different nail tip then the sanding file but yes I soak them clip on top of the nail to make it thinner and soaking again then sanding. Thanks for the tips and straight to point nail tips ❤️
At first I decided not to try poly gel after seeing other removal videos because it looked like a lot of work. But seeing this second method makes me want to try it again
Thank you for making these videos. I have glued on fake nails for over thirty years and my nails are in terrible shape. I had never even heard of PolyGel until I saw your video today. I took notes from three of your videos and ordered all the materials you mentioned. Hopefully, I can do this just like you do in your videos. Do you have any suggestions for applying gels to natural nails that are barely past the cuticle?
I jjst wanted you to know that you're awesome af and you are the only one i can actually tolerate listening to and i appreciate your videos so thank you. Also can you please tdll me how to get rid of the stickiness after i top coat my polys?
I love your videos! I worked as a nail tech for years and your videos are Real. And your work is beautiful. Thank you for such amazing tips and tools on newer products. It's been a while since I've done nails;)
I just got into using polygel and I absolutely love it! What sanding band did you use with your nail drill I have all different sanding bands from extra course, course, fine and extra fine. I use the extra fine when filing the shine from my nails and to remove any extra cuticles skin from my natural nails. I know I am not supposed to do that but it works well for me. Thanks for sharing this information. I'm looking for the quickest way to remove the polygel because I get tired of looking at the same color or design really quick 😂 unless it is a special design for a special event that I know I won't have time to do before hand. Then I just deal with it and use regular polish to change the look. When I'm ready for the design I simply remove it with my extra fine sanding band and my e-file.
The second method might not be perfect but it's better than what I'm currently doing. Which has been forcing a tooth under the poly gel and popping it up. Hurts a little bit they come off 😅
¡Muchas muchas gracias por mostrarme el segundo método porque es un dolor de cabeza el primero! ¡Mil gracias, soy una nueva suscriptora de tu canal y me encantan todos tus vídeos!
You can also try putting the nails in hot water with some cuticle oil, I've seen that somewhere and it seemed to work for them, and i tried to do it with just hot water and it worked pretty well. But i will say that i pre-prepped a full cover nail with the polygel and and later on glued it on my nail with nail glue, i haven't tried with nails that aren't press on
I do something similar to this to get acrylic off. I use a tool I have, cant think of the name of it, lol. Or I'll even use my fingernails. I don't get my nails done often, so figured wouldn't hurt too much.
The number 2 method doesn’t seem that harmful to me at all I would 100% rather do that method than sit there and file every single nail down and then also have to soak it in acetone and still have to scrape the rest off lol, thanks for showing me that method :)
My old nail tech used to take acrylics off with something similar to the 2nd method but he was literally the best nail tech I have ever had! He had so many customers too and his nails lasted forever and didn’t break at all when I had them. I used to literally weightlift with his nails on now hen I go to a nail shop I type one word and a nail breaks smh.
I did method #2 because my nails were already lifting but I’d be scared to do it with a fresh set. I just bought the drill yesterday because I know my nails are gonna be rough by the end of the process. Lol
USE FZNEST PEEL OFF BASE COAT AND YOU CAN JUST POP POLYGEL OFF. I recommend this for anyone who wants to change their nails often but doesn't want to have to soak off.
Alexandra... I love your videos!! Recently new to Modelones brand poly gel. I cant use the forms included in the kit I got so I've been using it directly on my nails. My nails have gotten longer but i struggle with spreading the product. Its either too dry or its overly runny and sticks to the brush. I use the slip liquid that came with the kit along with 70% alcohol. Any suggestions? Also, when you do a fill, do you put base coat on the whole nail or just where the growout is? 🤔
All you gotta do is not use dehydrator or primer you can do the same with acrylic just so u know look it up especially if ur only wearing em for the night
I know this is an old video so I may not get a response. Is this method #2 best when you do the polygel under the false nail? I think it's called the lazy gel-x method or something. Can you file off plastic?
I think some people have the nails to handle method 2 and then there's people like me who have problem peely nails to begin with. Do I WISH I could do method 2? Hell yeah I do.

Me: goes to cosmetology school and knows it’s bad to do method 2
Also me: will 100% do method 2 on myself
😭😭 it’s just so much easier!

I think method #2 is genius! I just removed my first set last night and it took forever!! I'm definitely trying this next time. TFS 😊
Love it !!!!
Girl, I've been struggling to get these off, and I used method #2, I got them off in less than 30 mins 😭 thank you so much!

Using the flosser ... Genius! Thank you !
Thank you for showing both methods. I am going to try the second on when I take mine off. That is the only thing about poly gel is taking it off.❤️
The floss is brilliant! I used to use metrocards to flick my acrylics off😂
Absolute life saver! Just tried poly gel for the first time and messed up HORRIBLY, meanwhile I have an important event to get to in a few minutes 😭. Thank you so much cuz I don’t know how I would have survived… from now on we’re staying with regular nail polish lol
Me too. Mine look horrible but they staying on a week. It took forever.
@@lakiakeely5699 I am in this situation too. Took me 5hrs and they look soooo bad but they are staying at least a week to make the time worth it lol
@@leolee2159 Right. I left mine on too. Using the dual forms made it easier
I 1000% appreciate you! This #2 method just gave me a whole extra hour or more to do something fun, muah 😘

Method 2 in NYC is called the Metrocard removal method 😂 deadass
Number 2 leaves ridges which take a lot of buffing and will thin but it’s definitely nice for someone in a crunch. The nails you took off looked new!
Beautiful and congratulations on your new puppy
I really love your videos. Thanks for showing the quick method I’m definitely gonna try it carefully
At first I decided not to try poly gel after seeing other removal videos because it looked like a lot of work. But seeing this second method makes me want to try it again
The second method has me screaming lollll! What works, works! Also, I love your rings!!
IDC...What others say...the dental floss method does really work and its alot faster. Thank you for these tips!
Do nails need to be soaked in acetone first then use the dental floss?
No!
😁💕💕💕
@@AlexandraDixon thank you
Literally did this last week since you mentioned it in a previous video and my nails weren’t too bad afterwards 😂

I'm here to thank you for method 2 .
Mind opener. Thank u so much for such easy method . Total time saver 🙌❤
Seriously the best video ever. Straight to the point and the second method got my nails off fast!!
Definitely subscribing after this wonderful method! I just did my first set of polygel last night so I’m saving this for later 🤞🏼

Boy did I need this thank you so much just learning how to do polygel nails lucky I only did my pinky lol....😊
The second method might not be perfect but it's better than what I'm currently doing. Which has been forcing a tooth under the poly gel and popping it up. Hurts a little bit they come off 😅
U a real one bc I don’t want to buy a drill and I’m impatient lol I knew it had to be a way to “pop” them off
This would have been helpful about a week ago and I was trying to get my polygel nails off. Lmao 🤣
Thank you for this tutorial. With the first method, since the polygon is under the false nail, are you filing down to the gel?
😭😭 thank u sm for that second method. im practicing doing polygel on myself and i did my first set and I hate it 🥴🥴 it looked horrendous
When you said “there’s no debate about it!”....🤣🤣🤣 no need to say it louder for the people in the back 🤣🤣
Definitely going to try your way!
What do you call that green gadget that's taking off your nails? Where can I buy one?
I actually prefer your second method! It's looks so much easy AND less time consuming than filing forever.
Do you use peel base or regular base?? I will definitely be trying method 2!
¡Muchas muchas gracias por mostrarme el segundo método porque es un dolor de cabeza el primero! ¡Mil gracias, soy una nueva suscriptora de tu canal y me encantan todos tus vídeos!
Do recommend cuticle oils or slip solution while using the floss to help protect the nail ?
You can also try putting the nails in hot water with some cuticle oil, I've seen that somewhere and it seemed to work for them, and i tried to do it with just hot water and it worked pretty well. But i will say that i pre-prepped a full cover nail with the polygel and and later on glued it on my nail with nail glue, i haven't tried with nails that aren't press on

Thanks Bestie. I like method #2 better. My nails last almost a month as well.
I like this. I listened to all your advice as well thanks
💜✨Thank You For Doing This Tutorial, Now I’m All Set!!✨💜

I did a mix of method 1 and 2 lol the laziness be real.
USE FZNEST PEEL OFF BASE COAT AND YOU CAN JUST POP POLYGEL OFF. I recommend this for anyone who wants to change their nails often but doesn't want to have to soak off.
So you soaked your nails in acetone for how long until you start using the flosser?
Does it take longer to remove with the e file ?? Va the nail drill??
Is it anything else you can remove polygel with
I like the second method.
I love ❤️ method 2 because acetone gives me dermatitis

SHOOK. My nails are super oily, so I always end up with lifting at the cuticle anyway. Defs totes trying this. 🤔
Thanks for the floss idea ..because omg this nail is stuck . lol
That is awesome!! Ty!! 💅
Do you have a nail cover above your nails

I have filed off the full cover tips when I’ve done the lazy girl method. I used an e file. Not a hand file
Good info. Love the nails.
That's why u do the pop off method girl
I just took off a set. I did it outside to keep the dust out of my house.
Love those Pandoras 💍
Very creative
Cute nails 💞😻✨
I never thought of using flossing. Clever idea girly!! Thanks🙂
Hey Giiirrrlll!
