You’ll think electric is better, until you see someone pushing one home cause the batteries died. I have a 2021 Drive 2 EFI and it’s amazing. Sold my 48v Ezgo to get it. No regrets at all!
Wow I didn’t know they got 240 miles a tank that’s awesome. Efi makes a huge difference.
Mine actually gets 300 miles per tank depends on how you drive it

and what is the delivery method from Texas to South Carolina?
Great video.... gives me lots of ideas. I just bought a new drive2 stock cart and the ride is so smooth. I wanted to lift it, but am worried lifting it and adding new more knobby tires would make the ride not as smooth. I currently use it mostly on pavement. What are your feelings on any changes in the smooth ride and increased noise after lifting that Yamaha cart? Thanks!
which carts have the highest safety rating. seems like they are known to roll over so i am looking for a safe cart for my family. i assume the lifted carts are less safe than the lowered carts?
My Lowe’s golf cart is a Coleman with maintenance free batteries. Does this mean there lithium batteries ?
I love watching things I can’t afford
The distance advantage is only a thing until you make the switch to lithium batteries.
Then no more water maintenance, no more over night charging required and no more fear of hills lol.
Just fear of fire 🔥 lithium have problems
@@MOONRAKER1922 Cheap, poorly assembled lithium packs have problems.
Just like anything else, you get what you pay for.
@@MOONRAKER1922 yeah, I wouldn't want to park one with lithium batteries in my garage.
I really like the brush guard on the front of the golf cart. I was wondering where I can get one. And must I need any additional parts to install it?
We have a six seater version with only 2 rows facing forward. We have major trouble going up hills. The transmission is not geared for hills. We literally have to have 2 of 4 people get out to make it up hills in the city
gas
Gas ? Or electric
Yamaha?
@@fatman-porsche4178 yes. Yamaha. Gas
Get the navitas AC conversion motor and Controller. I have the 4kw and it can do wheelies.
Is a gas powered golf cart loud like a lawn mower?
This guy knows what he’s talking about! 👍👍👍
Can you take them to state parks and campgrounds that do not allow ice-s?
We have an older 2000 Yamaha model gas powered cart
They really do go a long way on 5 gallons of gas. We go month on end and don't worry about fueling ours.
I am so glad that we whent the gas way an not the battery way.
We have one of those 5 or 6 hundred dollar little trailers for ours to hoal it and the cart has more than enough power to pull its own trailer around our property.
Here's some power points if you're looking in to getting a cart we literally pull our Farmall IH 240 tractor with are golf cart. I wouldn't recommend you do they same I'm just saying they got power.
Can you drive the gas powered carts on the road legally in Texas? The electric carts are legal.
I am looking for a tricked out 6 passenger yamaha gas golf cart. Lifted, lights the whole 9, can y'all ship it to me?

What size lift kit is on them independent suspension Yamaha's drive 2 cart's
Cost kya he
Ok, I’ll agree the gas carts will go further, just remember that the gasoline made these days goes bad, within a month or two depending on how humid an area you live in. If you want a gas powered cart you must find a source of gas that is ethanol free! I know most WAWA stores do, that way the gas will last longer in storage, as not many folks run 250 miles in a month! I was very close to buying a Yamaha Quiet Drive II Gas powered Cart, they definitely have the best ride and handling is pretty good, but they are slow, on the takeoff and top speed! That was not always the case, for a long time even the Yamaha gas carts had carburated engines, but the newer quiet drives have fuel injection, that helps it run better and cleaner! But it's all but impossible to get more speed out of them! Before, when they had carburetors, you could very easily tweak the governor, to get up over the magic industry-standard of 25 mph most electric carts can get up to! But the Yamaha might get up to 22 mph! That little extra might not seem like much, but believe me, it does, plus the fact electric carts have instant peak power right at the get-go! I ended up buying a 2018 Tomberlin SS Coupe, 48Volt AC, with 8, 6 volt deep cycle Trojan batteries, that are the industry standard in wet batteries. Plus the Tomberlin has many unique features no others have. Like Power Steering, 4 wheel hydraulic brakes, with drill an slotted disks in front. Plus a DOT safety glass windshield and wiper! All LED lights with hi/lo beam, tail/stop/turn lights, horn and independent Coilover front suspension, with trailing arm Coilover rear suspension. But the best is the getup an GO! It will cruise effortlessly at 25 mph, just feathering the pedal, with plenty of power left to get over hills! On the flats I can get 26-27 at times, but I still get passed by the occasional EzGo or Yamaha, that’s been re-geared or programmed. But the Tomberlin has the best 0-20, 0-25 times ! I have had great luck, only two issues, the steering knuckle had the female splines strip, that were replaced at the factory an hour and a half from my home in Central Florida, they had wanted to see what was wrong, because the power steering was kinda new and they have never had any issues. That was OK with me! I got to meet the guys who assemble them, seen them all in pieces and mine up on the lift. The other was the built in charger was running all the time and cooked the batteries! So the great dealer I bought if from replace the charger under warranty. But we didn’t know the batteries were bad for a couple days, I ended up removing them myself and dropping them off at the Trojan Distribution and service warehouse in Orlando, there they tested and inspected the batteries, to discover that yes they were cooked! So I got a call a couple days later, to hear 8 new batteries were ready to be picked up! So that’s what I did, then reinstalled them myself, not an easy task at 65, but it’s been running for just over a year now without fail, actually another 4,120 miles! I know that because Tomberlins come with speedometer and odometers! Until I hear Yamaha has carts are as quick an fast, plus handle as well as a Tomberlin?
You're a wise man and I have an added 4 years on you. The Tracker EV with LIPO is in my future.
My Quiet Tech goes 27 mph and had awesome torque as well! 2022 model and it’s so much better than batteries
Ok here’s an update. It’s been two more years and 4 years 8 months I’ve owned the Tomberlin. Just now after daily usage and a total of over 6,500 miles the batteries I replaced when they were cooked with a defective charger are now 4 years old and showing definite signs of needing replacement with a range of only 5 miles now. So I’m very happy with the cart, plus a new one now costs $16,000!!! 6k more than I paid for the one I have now! So I’m thinking about lithium replacements at $2,460, with a 30 mile range and 11 years warranty! Or $1,800 for the 35 mile range Trojans? That will last maybe 4 years. I could go with the 60 mile range lithium for $4,200, that’s at only 250 - 300 lbs lithium or over 600 lead acid. If I go with lithium the cart will be worth more, but I can fix just about anything that goes wrong, with a warehouse full of parts just 80 miles away.
Would like to know if these gas golf carts are available in New Zealand.
E&G Vehicles Co have them available as from $3,500.
You can check the page on Facebook.
What’s the topspeed
I love my cart it's a 99 txt electric, I wish it was a gas cart but the electric is good too
Whatever your about to say you are wrong both are great and purchase the kind that you are allowed. Gas not allowed at my campground. Navitas with lithium = pure enjoyment
Great video I was hoping to opt for an electric golf cart but now I think gas is a good option. Explored some good options at SWFL Golf Carts, now I think I should just buy one!
Had a 14 club car electric, went to a 15 club car gas, the gas is a whole lot less hassle but noisy, its also a cple mph slower at 19.5 the electric would run 21 mph , but I won’t go back to electric, gas is just less hassle
Steve Too much hassle fooling with the charger and batteries, and lack of distance, we live in a retirement community and drive it anywhere from 7 to 15 miles a day
Gas is the way 2 go.
yamaha's model pvt powertec LI electric will go 38 miles before charging
What kind of mpg, range, and fuel capacity?
Gas is like 200+ miles of range per a tank and it's under a 5 Gallon tank
Do they have fuel injection or is it a carburetor
Efi is electric fuel injection
That’s a matter of an opinion.
I like the fact that electric carts don’t give off fumes or vibration well driving.
ELECTRIC GOLF CARTS ARE DANGEROUS, WHILE YOU SLEEP BATTERYS ARE BOILING IN YOUR GARAGE 57 HOMES BURN TO THE GROUND PER YEAR IN FLORIDA BECAUSE OF ELECTRIC GOLF CART FIRES.
Thanks this is very helpful!!!
Where's the aluminum frame?
Can you go off-roading with a gas cart?
Looking at other stock and DIY carts it seems a new generation of electric carts who's performance functions, reliability and cost of ownership will eclipse gas powered cart. Think I'll go the electric route.
Be nice, this guy was trying his best.
I agree, electric is a definite no 😢
So beautifull!!
Agreed
Electric suck, can't wait to dump mine and get a gas powered one. Just have to keep complaining enough and one of these days the wife will get sick of listening to me complain and finally give in.
cool
me sitting with a 2008ish ezgo electric golf cart 😔
I got a 1995 ezgo gas golf cart it’s a beauty
Umm no
Yeah, but I can make the fuel for for an electric one on my roof with no effort. Try doing that with a gas one...
No need.. while you’re spending hours “making fuel”, I’ll take the five seconds available just to top mine off. Lol. It’s not gonna break the bank for fuel costs on a gas golf cart ,that has a 250 mile range. Also no need for over 1k in new batteries every 5 years . There goes your fuel savings? Lol . However, there’s nothing wrong with an electric golf cart. They’re very smooth and have lots of torque.
Holy shit look at the angle on those half shafts!
Yikes
Electric sucks.
NO WAY! Electric only way to go ... quieter, no smelly gas, no yearly tuneup, faster starts, just a few of the benefits of electric cart!
Nope… the new QTECH is not smelly at all. So quiet and so much better than Batteries. I go 27 mph and have awesome torque. Hills are no problem. Gas all the way… if Yamaha!!!
@@martinlove6733 Awesome torque ? My ass
@@jibboom2112 - absolutely, I have the better clutch system. You're an ASS is right. LOL
Long ass charges, not as much mileage as gas. Gas is better. And just wait till you have to buy a new battery for your electric golf cart. Well over $4,000.
Wow, interestingly enough all gas powered engines were originally designed to run on air using compressed air to be more Pacific and on top of that all gas powered engines can’t be ran on saltwater to create hydrogen which then now makes it so that instead of 1 L for let’s say 50 km You now get 1 L of salt water for 1500 km because it’s actually only using the particles which is hydrogen to power. Yes you’ll still have to use oil to keep it going and do normal maintenance. The tank itself is 25 L. That means that you’re not refilling that tankfor 25,000 km so what electric vehicle can do that none
Lithium will change the entire game, it's already started.
No it won’t .... lithium still has all the limitations of batteries, need to charge, front end expense.... terrible milage and speed ( on a cart).
No way…lithium will shock a nut off you if it rains on you
Lithium had a long way to go!!
@@martinlove6733 Right! It's arrived!
@@jibboom2112 Not great for carts yet. When I can get 75 miles on a charge we will look again. I tried two Lithium packs in a cart and both failed.. BRICKS.
I've had an electric golf cart for 15 years. No trouble at all except the one time I had to give it new batteries. Gas, in this day and age, is stupid in a new car, and absolutely INSANE in a golf cart in 2020. Quiet technology? LOL. Thanks, but I'll stick with electric.
Where is your shop
I would love to go check one of you yeah Gas go card
You must be a loser democrat
Jealous… hater!! Gad blows batteries away!! And is ninja quiet. Don’t cry…
Why Electric Golf Cars are Better than Gas?
The technology is well and truly here for electric cars gas Pffft Obsolete
Eww Seatbelts!🤢🤮

Ba ha ha ha ....They're NOT Better !
