  • Tractor Supply Golf Cart is actually a BEAST! Lately Lowes, Tractor Supply Company, Rural King, Scheels and every other retailer seems to be selling GOLF CARTS! We were approached by a BRAND NEW golf cart brand RACKA that offered to send us one of their RGC1 carts to share what we think. This cart is PACKED with features and has an impressive amount of power and features for the money. At $8,000 this cart will be offered at Tractor Supply only. Not only does this golf cart offer a tremendous amount of value, it is also a beautiful machine on the outside. The 48v cart comes with multiple USB chargers, an LED bar in the grill, a cooler in the back and rear seats that flip down to offer a cargo area. If you are looking to buy a golf cart for your property, farm, neighborhood or hunting lease.

    I build custom carts for a living, and that price point seems reasonable for what I see. That charger is a C4825 Evolution charger. I've installed many. It's a great charger. Please do more videos of this cart. And a note, your cart has front and rear disc brakes, which is a huge upgrade on a cart. Majority are drum rears. That windshield is a cheap knock off. Purchase a real DOT windshield with the proper thickness and it will reduce the rattling by a ton. Cheers!!

      Thanks for all of that info! Do you have a recommendation on a better windshield? This one does like to rattle. I’ll keep the videos coming on it. We did one one making mock scrapes recently where it was the star of the show. Thanks for watching!

      @@davidsettle8456 I have never built a 4x4 yet.. It's not a customer demand for sure. Yes I've done and worked on the gas motors and predator. They definitely increase speed and torque. It's not crazy difficult. Just need fabrication on some brackets and small stuff.

    Down in the southern states, a lot of golf carts are the only way to get around. Also at those huge tractor, farming, gatherings meets on mile after mile of display items, these carts are the only way to go. Just getting your mail far out at the end of the driveway would make you want on of these. Nice video of a very nice RACKA Golf Cart.

    I invested in a 1900 Honda gas generator that I keep in the back of our electric for emergencies. And it has saved us on a few occassions! If the electric dies out, fire up the generator for 15 minutes and you have enough juice to get back home! Nice cart/buggy!!

    I have a sized by side with an aftermarket windshield that rattled a bit. I put a couple of pieces of adhesive foam weatherstripping that you can get in different widths at a hardware store between the windshield and frame. I doesn’t scratch the windshield and stops the noise. Also that golf club rack on the rear looks like it would be a great rifle support for shooting or hunting with a bit of padding on it to protect the finish of your guns.

    I bought an icon IL 40 with Lithuim batteries and love it. I cruise the hood and use mine to pull my lawn cart. it was perfect and I saved 10 grand on a side by side. It’s road legal ( under 25 mph) and fits my needs.

      That is EXACTLY what I am hoping this video series will bring to the table. Some folks absolutely need a stout side by side. But the golf cart is absolutely a contender for most and for $8k you can buy two or three of them for the price of 1 side by side. I’ll have a cool video out soon comparing gas/ev/diesel and an atv. Should be fun! Thanks for sharing and watching!

    As a guy that would use this for semi-all terrain use the only thing I saw that jumped out at me was the double USB ports that were surface up mounted low on the body and near the sides...how will those perform after a drenching rain when someone accidently left the plugs out? Also as others have mentioned...the test dummies never got it off the blacktop or they would have added edging to prevent the rattling...Overall seems impressive!

    • @JoeTheFarmer
      @JoeTheFarmer  7 місяців тому +1

      The usb’s are plugged pretty tight; but right. A solid rain in there and then what. I have fixed a lot of the rattles and will keep tweaking it but no engine noise is a big deal. The camera also picks up the rattles far worse than they sound in person; but fair is fair. It rattles on a rough and bumpy farm. Regardless, built very well and I have seen far worse for twice the price. Thanks for watching my friend!

    It looks like a lot of value depending on part’s availability. If you look at the resale of carts
    , older gas carts sell for more then a newer model year electric cart. The cost of replacing batteries and larger communities needing more distance leaves a lot of battery carts being sold for gas. Batteries never die at the right time. I load four people on my Yamaha UMAX with plenty of power and it is a lot more between a golf cart and a side by side.

    • @JoeTheFarmer
      @JoeTheFarmer  5 місяців тому

      All good points. The replacement batteries have gotten less expensive and even a lithium upgrade is about $2k now so thats not too bad. But so far been a solid machine, and it is probably not made for what we do with it! Will keep you posted.

So I started researching and interesting enough I can't even find this cart anywhere even at TSC. So how hard would it be to get parts and service? I was actually at my local Tractor Supply today picking up a new lawn mower battery. They had a couple of these sitting outside that caught my eye. Nice looking cart, I could see the benefit of having it on a farm, in a rural setting, etc. But, these were priced at $10,000. Sorry, IMO, that's just too expensive. I am around golf carts all the time we have them around our campground. The name brand units are getting expensive like $10 to 14K, I think $8K is too expensive for a battery operated gocart, but nonetheless used carts are fetching $4,5,6K its really ridiculous to spend that kind of money on something so rudimentary. Just my thoughts items are just becoming unaffordable buying something like this requires a person to consider the benefits before laying down $8K.

    TS golf carts are $10k here.
    So many people worrying about battery carts are just funny. I have had gas and electric carts, and electric is by far the best option. Its just as easy to charge overnight as it is to remember to put gas in your gas cart. The batteries will last 5 years and cost about $700 t9 replace.
    Tge negative to conparing this to a gas UTV is more about power. I use my UTV to pull trailers, carry big loads of firewood, and assorted other farm tasks. The electric cart doesn't compare for that scenario.

If your battery goes dead, what do you do? Bring extra batteries? Bring solar panels and a charging unit and take a long nap while it charges? Walk back and get something to drag it home? Hey! No, very similar to the Coleman. The Massimo is a totally different cart. But has tons of options! Both pretty crazy value at 8k. Thanks for watching!

      @otiscornerbargrille Racka is basically Coleman at TSC. I will be doing a review on the Massimo MEV2 soon!

    Joe, this rider seems to be nice. One thing that I've never understood is why don't they have wipers. What, you're suppose to not operate it in the rain? That's crazy.

    • @JoeTheFarmer
      @JoeTheFarmer  6 місяців тому

      I think the wipers would scratch the windshield. Its not a heavy duty plastic. If glass; yes! Wipers would be great!

    Boy I loved to get a 6 or 8 seater I know I would love e gold cart but it’s probaly very very illegal in the Portland Oregon area where I live top speed 25 mph damn to bad it isn’t higher

    • @JoeTheFarmer
      @JoeTheFarmer  5 місяців тому +1

      I believe 25 mph is the cap for low speed vehicles not needing to be registered. Could be wrong. Thanks for watching!!!

      It’s in limited stores but if you ask your store manager to get one they should be able to get one to demo. It’s a great machine!

    Can it go to the beach? Can it pull anything! Can you mount a winch? How h time for a charge?

    • @JoeTheFarmer
      @JoeTheFarmer  7 місяців тому +1

      I think you can do with it whatever you like. Charges pretty fast; as for sand and a winch it is not 4wd but within reason it is very capable on the farm so should translate to the beach.

      Not sure; but I cannot see why not if they allow guests to bring their own ride.

      @Big-G-man85 I’m sure they would. I worked at a golf course in college and we didn’t care. As long as we didn’t have to tow it in! 🤣
