My biggest issue I'm seeing now after my ETS a few years ago is the motivation of my peers. Especially now that I'm getting older and more focused on my health. Not only PT but personal time going to the gym while on active duty in garrison was so different than it is being in the civilian gym today. I understand that I knew a lot of people at the gyms on post and the S**t talking and camaraderie was great. Trying to strike up a conversation or even ask for a spot from someone (If you can even manage to get their attention if they have crap in their ears) you're mostly frowned upon. So, I recently said F-it and started to build my own garage gym. I hope someone else is there to remain aware of the sounds of duress.
