You are so right, that would be awesome. Now that I’ve done this once, I’ll be keeping an eye on keychains every time I stop in the Lego store!

Is there any other figure that you can do this with?

You can do it with any minifig! It’s a good way to make a more accurate clone trooper sometimes, or any other custom minifigs. But I’d be careful with any older ones where the plastic may be brittle.
