Hahaha that intro was good man! And congratulations on your first Mezco review. Now all you have to do is your first ever wwe elite review and Star Wars black series!
The best way to pop out the foot peg is by using the flight stand’s peg. Just flip the stand over and push the flight stand in, the peg should pop out. Then just pull the stand out
Congrats on picking up your first Mezco! To me this figure is probably the best rendition of a classic Neal Adams/Bronze Age Superman ever done in figure form - the face sculpts, the costume colors, the volume of accessories make this a figure of the year IMO (like you I just wish the head tilt was a little better to have him look up more for flying poses). I admit its pricier than other figures, but I think you could use this as the de facto Superman in a collection and not need to buy another classic Superman ever again 😃
I put the Mezco heads on my TDKR Mafex Superman and it's honestly my definitive look for him. Have not used the TDKR heads ever since. And since mezco has like 6, I can display both happily
I was on the fence, but when I thought about just all the accessories and that fact that I laid out $120 for Mafex Supes which comes with so little by comparison, it felt right.
Awesome mezco superman figure, I remember seeing that figure online and wanting it because of the head and some of its accessories. But unfortunately that pricing is something that makes that wish a bit more difficult lol. But nonetheless, I’m glad you got your first mezco figure Jason! If you want to review more mezco figures, it would be pretty cool to see but I will watch regardless of what you review.
great review! I love this figure so much. I wish they had don 1 head sculpt to match the box art though that would have been amazing. perfectly bronze age
Great review Jason! Now you've done Hot Toys and Mezco will you start on Mondo at all? They've done some Batman: TAS and X-Men: TAS figures in their 1/6 scale line
Been collecting figures for years now and Mezco is defo my favourite. Im rarely disappointed. As I know you love comic book heroes I highly recommend their Wolverine, Sovereign Knight Batman and Mr Freeze. The newly released Robin and Morbius are also amazing. The Fantastic 4 boxset should be shipping soon too so a great time to start collecting the line!
That Fantastic Four is really impressive, though admittedly I don't like how they handled Johnny. But I'm not really sure what else they could have done with him.
The Crow was my first Mezco One 12 collective figure, I have 10 of them now. I like the musculature on the plastic toys more than the cloth look for traditional superheroes. But I love Mezco.
At $100 bucks it’s definitely a good discount, it’s a pricier collectible but you definitely get what you pay for in this case, it’s 3 1/2 times more than a MacFarlane figure but it looks infinitely better. It feels like a mini Hot Toys that can you can pose. I personally love that amalgamation of different Supermen fused into the face sculpt.
I have been warming up to Mezco stuff after disliking them for their proportion for years, you know which figure got me into them? This guy. I was initially pick him up just wanna do headswap and use accessories for McFarlane and Mafex, but the quality of this figure has blown me away. I now picked up another 4 mezco and have the black suit superman on preorder lol
@@Keolas_multiverse Mafex Hush is the best in terms of articulation and proportion, Mezco has worse proportions and cloth goods which can be hard to handle and deteriorate over time if not careful, but has the best headsculpts and basically every accessories you ever need for Superman. I got both, but imo Mezco is more fun for toy photography/display/play with other toys while hush is the best to play on itself.
This is another one of those figures where I'm just not satisfied despite liking a lot about it. This figure is noticably smaller (shorter and less muscular) than Mezco's own Batman figures. And the reason why his head fits so well on 7-inch figures is because it's technically too big for the body it comes with. The head additionally makes him look even less beefy by comparison. You may say that I'm nitpicking but these are meant to be modeled after comic book heroes, whose proportions/bodies are often larger-than-life. Mezco is a high-end company and they have made beefy bodies before, so I don't feel that they have an excuse for this Superman not being better.
I can’t get behind the soft goods clothes of Mezco, no matter how good looking everything else is. They ll just look like they’re wearing long underwear. I watched a review of the Mezco G.I. Joe Roadblock, and I loved how he looked…minus the pants. I’ll watch your videos if you do Mezcos and Like them, but that’s as far as I would go.
Do people still say "First!"? Anyway, I really don't like the artwork on that tin. It looks like the kind of DC-approved promotional art that appears on party goods or colouring books. Which is fine, but I'd like something a bit more premium for a £100+ figure.
I might consider purchasing the Mezco Superman just for the accessories and toss the figure. I just cannot stand cloth capes and/or clothing on my action figures, it looks cheap to me.
I meeeeeeeaaaan. I'm here to live vicariously and pick out my next purchases. I watch basically whatever you post ^_^ You could start reviewing trains on Sundays and I'd be like "well not my thing but I'm informed now" lol

I just got this guy last night! He's my definitive Superman right next to my Mafex Hush Superman.
I've been picking Mezco over a lot of others lately. I'm always happy with them. This one looks great as expected.
Excellent video & very detailed analysis on the figures, like ur 5POA
first hot toys and now first mezco, he is growing sooooo much as a collector. beutiful

Wow, what a rating Great review thanks for all the comparisons.
Great review! Hilarious writing too!
Thank you!
I'm proud of you exploring other lines. I picked up my first Mezco last week, The Crow, and it's great. I ordered Wolverine shortly after.
Thank you. You are the second person in the comments to mention the Crow. Might be worth looking into
I picked him up from Amazon a couple days ago. Also my first mezco and I can't wait to get it in hand.
I put the Mezco heads on my TDKR Mafex Superman and it's honestly my definitive look for him. Have not used the TDKR heads ever since. And since mezco has like 6, I can display both happily
I haven't paid much attention to the DKR Mafex Supes, but that does sound pretty cool
i wouldnt have gave it a point for price but its nice comparatively speaking to most supes figures
I was on the fence, but when I thought about just all the accessories and that fact that I laid out $120 for Mafex Supes which comes with so little by comparison, it felt right.

Thanks! I hear ya. Def not for everyone. I'm only slowly warming up to cloth good
This entire thing was amazing I can't wait to do a review when I get the spiderman in January now 😂😅😅😅
Thank you! That Spidey is pretty tempting
Sheesh jason rich rich getting both a hot toys and mezco review back 2 back 😎
Ha well in my defense I have been sitting on this figure since April.

Looking forward to your Hush Mafex Superman Review!
Cute looking doll
To pop the peg out you just poke it from underneath with the bottom peg of the display arm. 🤙
the Mezco Ghostbusters box set. i don't own it but it looks REALly cool.
Very nice review. Glad you like the figure. How did you do the Fortress of Solitude backdrop?
Thank you! I made it out of multiple layers of foam and a handheld hot wire foam cutter for all the rippling.

Yeah the sheer number of accessories is mind boggling. A lot of creativity went into this. As soon as I saw it, I hit preorder.
This was my first Mezco figure couldn't recommend him enough to anyone who wants to buy him but is on the fence!
Oh yeah, this figure is spectacular. Really makes me want that new classic Spider-Man
Wow I cant believe he has so many accessories
Right? Just about anything you could want for a Superman
I don't know if you have any interest but i would love to see your review on Mezco's The Crow Eric Draven One:12.
The shocked head is for the black mercy
