It's funny you made this video, cuz the Fleischer suit is my all time favorite Superman suit. And I had my Mezco Christopher Reeves Superman and had a Fleischer suit made for him. It's so perfect.
Great review, plain english, no fancy lingo. Thanks for making this video! And the toys? Well, Mezco just knocked it out of the ballpark with both of these sets! They're "Must-Haves" for Superman fans, and I guess I'll be skipping a few lunches now, 'cause I'm about to spend my money buying them soon, lol!!
You know, I kind of wish the first set had more articulation, but then I also understand why they did it that way, to make it seem a bit closer to what the figures may have been like from an earlier time. The "playset" feel with the box and the phone booth gimmick really adds to that, too. It all makes me want to get a set and add artificial wear-and-tear as a little art project, see if I can get it all to look like something that actually came out of another era. I remember those cartoons made a bit of a comeback when I was young in the late 80s/early 90s, so making it look like it's an old playset that's been around since that time makes sense to me.
I'm not a huge DC guy, even less a Superman guy, but dang if that silver age Superman isn't a sweet figure! The accessories alone are great, and those bullet effects *chef's kiss*
Great video, Trey! That Mezco 1:12 version of Superman looks great. I still think I prefer the look of the Mafex HUSH version, but this video is tempting me 🤣
Not for some reason - for every reason! Ross has repeatedly stated that it is his inspiration for how he draws/paints the character and his crest in Kingdom Come is directly from this
Awesome figures and great video. As much as I like the more modern Superman, the 1940s one wins hands down. I just wish the "5" on the robot was removable or came with some other numbers to cover it. Maybe even if the had left off the number all together. It'd make a lerfect troop builder.
Great review and awesome retrospective! I forgot just how many aspects of Supes were introduced in other media (like the flying and Kryptonite). Just goes to show how other media can add a wealth of stuff to the original source material.
I’m still mad about that cheap tiny S shield on that new Mezco’s one:12 Superman, because now I had to buy a third party bodysuit with a larger S on it. That Man of Steel was supposed to have a large S like how they did in their photo shoots. This figure is clearly inspired by John Byrne’s Superman by the hairstyle, so it should’ve had a bigger S shield on the chest, cuz John Byrne’s version had that.
The Silver Age/Bronze Age 6" Superman is one of the BEST Ever...!! Great review.!! I would have gotten the 1940's Superman set ... if only there would have been a lot more articulation.!!! The Set looks GREAT.!! But the figures are too stiff for me.!! Thanks for the Review.!!
@@CarbonScoring Honestly, I wish McFarlane would make a Christopher Reeve Superman action figure. Since they've made one of Michael Keaton's Batman already.
I absolutely Love the Mezco one: 12 line, and would love to see more if you have them. Another amazing video thank you carbon scoring!!!
Superman is the best

Max fleischer's superman series is being re released as a remaster on blu ray this month on the 15th. I remember watching the cartoon on vhs as a kid.
Oh, I may have to pick that up! Thanks for the heads up!
Yes i have it, its surreal how good the animation is

They are pricey, but you won’t be disappointed! Thanks for watching!!!
Due to your instructive review on the FLETCHER 'S VER. SUPERMAN , I went and got my set, and all l can say that it's Awesome. Thanks.
Glad I could help- I hope you love it as much as I do!
An absolutely fantastic review and little history lesson there buddy. 🤜🏻👌🏻👍🏻
Thanks - I always try to give a little extra than just a straight review - that is what makes it fun for me to make these!
As always great review - visually and storywise. Thank you!
Thanks for the early watch - I try to get these out to Channel Members when I get a video done early (which obviously doesn't happen much!)
i like the review its really cool how you tell us about were the accesories come form with the one:12! as always great video
Thanks for being a loyal viewer - I always try to give you the best in comics history AND action figures!
Love this. So good, Trey. Made me so excited about the Max Fleischer cartoons all over again.
Those cartoons are just magic - the flow of the animation is so unique
Man the golden age is so great really wish we'd get more 6inch figures from that time both dc marvel and all the one off characters
Thanks for the early watch and the feedback! I don't know how big the market would be for Golden Age, but I know I would be down for those
@@CarbonScoring I have to agree on both I'm sure the market is small but those that want it definitely want it
I really love the Mezco 5 points. I got the 66 Batman set. I was thrilled with it. I may have to find room for that Superman set
It is a winner also - that Batman set is just so good!

100% - definitly playing on the nostalgia factor

they crushed it with the magnetic bullet effects - but I think i lost one of them - I've been scroungign around the carpet looking for it...
Great Review...! i really like it the use of really original art and tv series! thanks for the 2 in 1 review!!!!!
Thanks for watching!

It is a slippery slope, my friend!
@@CarbonScoring yes it is! So far I only have the most recent Deluxe Wolverine Mezco figure. Trying to stay strong and not get others...
Love how they added staro
This figures repersent the man of steel perfectly, great review as always!
I for some reason think that the design of the 1941 superman figure kinda looked like alex Ross's design of Superman
Not for some reason - for every reason! Ross has repeatedly stated that it is his inspiration for how he draws/paints the character and his crest in Kingdom Come is directly from this
They put the golden age suit in super man and Lois
Man, I wish we could get a more articulated Fleischer Superman some time.
I actually watched the old tv show when I was younger
Great memories, I'm sure!

Great video! If you could do a marvel universe 3.75 figures box that would be cool!
Awesome action figures and an even more awesome channel what could a man ask for ❤
Glad to have you here! Keep coming back for more!
The 40s superman show looks better than some animated shows today, hehem big mouth
It totally is better than a bunch of modern animation
Great review and awesome retrospective! I forgot just how many aspects of Supes were introduced in other media (like the flying and Kryptonite). Just goes to show how other media can add a wealth of stuff to the original source material.
So cool! Too bad I can’t make it to the premiere.

Hope Mezco would have a "1:12" 1930s Superman.
I would buy that...
Hey carbon i want to ask you do you have the 2003 elastic superman?
I don't! That thing looks crazy!
How did i miss out on another video from the goat?
Question, I actually have both of these though I haven't opened them. Did your Fleischer Superman figure come scratched like that or did you do that?
Sadly mine came that way…
@@CarbonScoring that is most unfortunate! I wonder if there's a way for me to discretely open mine to check it. Thanks for the quick answer!
His cape coming unsewn doesn’t bother you? Same happened to mine, came out box like that and it irritated me.
And undersized S other than that perfect figure, not trying to bash it at all.

The best Superman figure looks like Hot toys❤
Funny, they didn’t include the pink kryptonite
Should have, you are right
Supesman review job is badass ❤ don't forget ' chili kryptonite' it makes you fart. Very fartworthy.
That one I'm not as familiar with...
ah yes silver & golden age super man the same age of super man to help shine a light on real life evil
I’m okay with my 2006 dc superheroes superman figure
Well, that is a mighty fine figure, no doubt!
@@CarbonScoring yeah
Are those the same action figures from Robot Chicken
I’m not sure - these are pretty new
@CarbonScoring i mean the ones in the background
Do you still do giveaways
Couple times a year
@@CarbonScoring Where do you find The Spider-Man 3 action figures
absolutely the best 1:12 superman figure
I want the 1:12, but Mezco is out of my price range.
They are pricey, but this one feels worth it
@@CarbonScoring Honestly, I wish McFarlane would make a Christopher Reeve Superman action figure. Since they've made one of Michael Keaton's Batman already.
@@CarbonScoring Also, what size box would you recommend for 6 inch figures? I need to store like 17 or 20 of them.
You aren't going to acknowledge that crappy scratch on his torso? I would be pissed to get that in the mail
yeah. I try to let stuff like that go. Some bother me more than others, for sure
Best will still be Mafex Hush Superman
I'd love to compare the two
Ouch! That's a nasty scratch on super man's belly.
Tell me about it
Another killer video and another video that kills my wallet.
I will say, that while these are kinda crazy expensive, they do go all out with the accessories!
I thought pink kryptonite just made Superman gay?? am I wrong??
Yeah - I read gender flip
