Pink Gold Peach. Who thought of that idea? Does Nintendo think adding the words "Pink Gold" would make her an original character? C'mon guy, we aren't that dumb.
Here's the thing, I think if Pink Gold Peach was an elusive super secret character that didn't appear in the marketing and was a hard to obtain unlockable, I feel like the reception to her inclusion would have been different. Like a character you wouldn't feel like you're missing if you don't have her in your roster but if you do, she's a symbol of your prowess, you could happily flaunt and show her off online and to your friends because you've EARNED her. Same principle as unlocking Dry Bowser in Mario Kart Wii or even with Gold Mario and gold kart parts in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Yes, they were clones, but they were special clones. Instead, she's just the character who we got instead of Diddy Kong or Bowser Jr. because God forbid 2010's era Mario have too many unique characters.
- Waste of a character slot, there were many characters left out and all they could come up with was Peach in gold which is lame - What is the point to Pink Gold Peach? It's just a character that exists, there is nothing behind her
Apparently something about needing another heavy weight female character and poom poom didn't exist yet, i what i would say if any of those enemies would be considered for this roster
The first time I saw this, I thought that was Nathaniel Bandy. With his shtick of hating PGP with a burning passion, I thought that he and Scott collaborated and the joke was that he hates her so much that he can sense whenever someone mentions her
At least Peachette kinda maybe almost makes sense as a character because she has a “backstory” (toadette touched funny crown. became human), where Baby Rosalina and Pink Gold Peach don’t. I’d say Peachette is on the same level of “lame” as Metal Mario and Dry Bowser
