      Good job Dad for providing guidance on the Baja build! I see from your other videos you have been to Dolly Sods in Tucker County. For light overlanding, I'd suggest forest roads near Canaan Valley (Davis) West Virginia. There are dispersed camping areas along Canaan Loop Road off of Rte 32 just a couple of miles south of Davis, WV. Enter Canaan loop Rd from the top of the mountain just outside of Davis on 32. Don't drive the full loop of Canaan Loop road - it is too rocky near Blackwater falls park side - stay near the Rte 32 side. Also Whitmer Rd south of Harman, WV. This is a long road that navigates uphill for about 10 miles along Gandy creek and eventually leads to Spruce Knob lake. A very scenic drive and has dispersed camping along Whitmer Rd near the creek. Any campgrounds near Spruce knob are great too.

    4:45 They're better than they used to be. I have 191,000 on my twin turbo F150 right now and it's still going strong, no issues at all with the turbos. Pulls hard and makes that fun turbo whistle sound everyone loves. (I want to buy an Outback Wilderness in a few years though). Hey man, I’ve been waiting to watch this video for the last 6 months. I decided it wasn’t the right time. I had the time to watch the video. Yes. But yet I saved it. And I don’t know why I did. But I did.
    I have been a Baja kid growing up in rural Alaska since I first saw one in 2010. And I wanted one so bad. But one never came available when it was time for me to get my first car. I go to college in 21’ and I’m in Maine with a 03 Tacoma and I see one come up on marketplace. 5 speed obsidian black pearl. I fall in love and sell the truck and buy the Baja. That’s when the adventure started. And I have had this vision of using it for overlanding in the backcountry of Alaska, and going on adventures and exploring the wilderness. The one place I feel at home. And my dream for my Baja is similar to the way yours looks.
    Less of the sap story, but I love your rig, and I mean every part of what I said there. I love your rig. And I’d love to get in touch so I can ask some questions about the rack you went with, and the camper topper, and all of that.
    Thank you for making this video. Really makes me happy.

    Great shots and color grading, loved the editing! Wish they'd revamp the baja for the modern market, these things are sick! If I could get one of these with their updated 2.4l turbo rather than their underpowered boxer 4 Id be all in. I am in the market for a new vehicle and the baja is a dream car of mine but sadly they're just not practical for a daily driver for me given its age. Next best thing seems to be the maverick truck-let. Nowhere near as much style as the baja but much more practical as onroad/soft-road. Looking forward to decking one out for similar adventures.

      Put on a bunch of Diode Dynamics lights! I have a video coming out this Sunday going over the whole build and the names of the lights will be in there.

      @@OutboundIntent maybe. Here in LA (lower Alabama) the application would be different but this could be a great small deer truck in fall and a beach truck in summer. Do you have a video about the bed build out? Tailgate camping is the best.

      @charliecrowe6606 funny you ask… just filmed a really simple video about the bed build out and was debating about even posting it. Sounds like I will! I just talk about how the bed is set up and what I bring camping in it

    You didn't talk about the build at all. This video was nothing more than a glorified cooking show. Hey, check out my mobile kitchen. Come with me while I find a dirt road to pull over and cook alongside. Really dude?
    You've built a cool ass rig. Tell us about it and walk us through your experience building it. Dont try to capitalize on the obsession with cooking out in the woods, that most of the outdoor content creators have turned to.

      So who are tacos for?

    • @stardustjustlikeyou
      @stardustjustlikeyou Рік тому

      @OutboundIntent Everyone! There is no question that white people tacos are different than mexican tacos, though. A single flour tortilla with ground beef and taco seasoning and onion tomato sour cream lettuce, etc. Is very very different than a double corn tortilla filled with al pastor and cilantro & onion. Both are good, but they are not the same.

    I have been a proud owner of a T-Baja since 2007 and over 200k and loved every drive. From modding and lifting like yours, it’s been a fun ride and I wished i had recorded along the way. NASOIC was and always the go to place for inspiration and knowledge building. Congrats and welcome to the love -hate relationship with a vehicle that keeps you than keeping it.🫡🫡🫡
