Whatever happened to being innocent until being proven guilty no one knows anything to be true or a to be a lie until all evidence is played out in a court of law.

Johnny Depp is an example of this. Now Danny Masterson was convicted of an allegation that happened 20 years ago! I don't know if it happened or not, but do you think they had proof? I doubt it.

Why does everyone keep conveniently forgetting that he ADMITTED IT in a deposition in 2005????
Q: Why didn't you ever take the quaaludes?
    A: Because I used them.
    Q: For what?
A: The same as a person would say, "Have a drink."
Q: You gave them to other people?
    A: Yes.
Q: Did you believe at that time that it was illegal for you to dispense those drugs?
    A: Yes.
Q: How did (the doctor) know that you didn't plan to use [them]?
A: What was happening at that time was that, that was, quaaludes happen to be the drug that kids, young people were using to party with and there were times when I wanted to have them just in case.
Q: When you got the quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?
    A: Yes.
    case closed.

His old ass should have rotted in prison. He should be paying all those women until his family is destitute..... When they have no money, I'll bet the entire family would face the truth. like you mentioned if he's guilty. based on that shouldn't we wait for him to have his day in court? isn't it innocent until proven guilty? if that's the case shouldn't it be up to the prosecution to prove that he is guilty of the crimes in front of a judge? don't get me wrong if he did the crime he should do the time but it seems like he was hung before he could get his day in court. is that the legal system now?

I thought it was innocent until proven guilty. The situation looks bad, but then again they've already destroyed his image, his legacy, and everything he's done without sure evidence. If he goes to court and they find out these women were supposedly lying then he's still ruined image wise because of what the media has done. I for one don't know what to believe. That is a lot of women to say he didn't do it, but then again some women threaten to cry rape, or abuse just to force the hand of men into dishing out money all the time. Sad situation.

Dr. Bill is biggest impact & inspiration for me not only being a man but what it really means to have a strong family unit; something thats lacking with our black community today (thanks to Willie Lynch). He is literally like a father to me. The media recipients are gullible, opinionless sheeps craving for the next scandal (Why?). Media has a different racist agenda and it's sad that people view him like he isn't important for black rights significance. I'm so sorry Bill :(

I support his children. This is a double standard and was going to be since day one! Mr. Cosby did a tremendous amount of things for the black community to help US feel empowered. If it was not the the legacy of The Cosby Show and a Different World I would not have known we hold the power to do and be anything. I'm waiting for a trial before I settle on him being guilty. I know what black men face on a daily. I'm a black woman married to a black man...front row seating.

What I find most disturbing is how the rule of law has been completely dismissed and how easily a person's civil rights are ignored and the court of public opinion now determines guilt or innocence based on nothing more than allegations. To summize that it is not possible for 50 women to lie or exaggerate their experience with Mr. Cosby shows how gullible people are and how easily duped. Words like rape and assault are triggers for the type and kinds of responses now being seen in the media and on social media sites. Those responses are based on emotion and not fact finding evidence done by investigators and law enforcement. There was a book written by a famous athlete declaring how he had sexual intercourse with 20,000 women but we are to believe it is not possible for 50 hard pressed, money strapped, former party girls, druggies and questionable women to lie or tell untruths or half truths....seriously? Mr. Cosby was not so famous in the 60's & 70's and that is a time when the civil rights movement was in full swing. He would have been laid under the jail had any one of these women only filed a police report. People were being incarcerated for standing up for their rights so you know full well if they were committing crimes against white folks like raping the women what would happen. Remember the movie To Kill a Mockingbird? Brock Peters went down because he wouldn't touch the white woman like she wanted him to and then she accused him of raping her. Don't get all twisted up in the words, follow the evidence and letter and rule of law and you will find there has been a miscarriage of justice here and not against the people crying wolf but against the person who stands accused. Also remember that someone handing you a little blue or white pill doesn't mean you have to take it and if any of these women weren't feeling well as they all claim, why didn't they leave or why were they there to begin with, after the midnight hour? Come on now....I have never read that he slipped them a mickey in their drink or tea or coffee. They willingly accepted the pills and took them on their own. They weren't forced! Knowingly meeting a married man in his hotel room or home after business hours and pretending you don't know the drill on that one just doesn't ring true. Using fake ID's to gain entrance into the Playboy mansion doesn't sound like naivete' . There's some funk under the rug and it smells like stank!!! Open eyes wide to see what's really going on here!

I'm just trying to figure out how he's been convicted by all of us strictly on allegations from over 40yrs ago. These allegations are from a time when we all know segregation was still alive and well.... Cases have been dismissed and we need to let him have his court date and go from there.

the media hasn't done enough to drag him. it's pissed me off how everybody acts like he's not some pervert. the media has barely covered his same story, he should have been dragged to hell and back because he is a serial rapist. he falls perfectly into the statistics of a serial rapist. most are likeable , lovable people. because you never see the selfish side of them, when they want something from you.

His daughters definitely have a point, however using race as a scapegoat, to cover up these allegations are not going to cut it for me.
I agree the majority of people in the court of public opinion; have already entered a guilty verdict, and the alleged victims: should've, could've, would've but didn't come forth sooner.
However when the scales tip in universal law, you receive what you put out there, and if these allegations have any truth in them, 2 years of slander, after living a 80+ year prosperous life; is nothing compared to the decades of insecurities and anguish that these alledged victims have suffered.
That's my 2 cents, and I don't want them back.

does not believe the accusations that have been heaped upon this gifted man.
I am so very sorry for this lovely family. If there is a God, there will be a day of judgment,
and what the news media has done to this man, they have hurt all of us.

Because even if they don't believe the rape accusations they can at least see how much their father has repeatedly disrespected their mother by cheating on her so much. So he's not the saint the portrays himself to be.

This is NOT a race thing. Both African American women and white women accused him and yes there are white men who did awful things and retained their careers and that is NOT ok and no one is arguing that it is. The reason I think he has been different then, say an athlete, that's been accused of the same thing is because he projected a wholesome image and was viewed as someone who was good and moral. This image was shattered by these accusations and it ruins a lot of his career opportunities because that image can't be projected anymore. He hasn't been proven guilty in criminal court yet but an unthinkable number of women accused him of this, he has admitted to giving women drugs in civil court for sex, and this was a known fact in the comedy community for years. And if you're arguing "innocent until proven guilty" you should have almost no opinion until the case is over. Those women are innocent until proven guilty of lying as well and calling potential rape victims names and accusing them of spreading salacious gossip is exactly the reason why women don't come forward when this happens and exactly the reason I'm sure most of these women waited so long to speak on this if it is true. The percentage of women who lie about being raped is so small and some of these women have absolutely nothing to gain from coming forward and they face insane backlash so why would they lie?

    • @melissac869
      @melissac869 7 років тому +1

Some of them 100% have credibility issues but a good bit of them don't. There are over fifty women who have accused him of this so realistically I'm sure a few are lying for their fifteen minutes of fame or whatever but to think that ALL of them are lying? Maybe you should read and do some research.

Not that I do not understand her position but she is speaking from HER view of her father. This is something that she can not speak on because although he has done good and been a good father that doesn't dictate who he is alone and behind closed doors. They don't know the truth. And their view is skewed. The race card is not appropriate here. They honestly should not have said anything.
