I’m only a third of the way through the video, and I’m so impressed! Not only with the store experience, but the quality of the video! Beautiful work! Now, I’ll finish watching!
Congratulations on your first Rolex purchase. I’m sure it will give you many years of enjoyment. Prestons are my local AD and I have nothing but praise for the standard of service they have provided over the years.
Thank you Ray 🙏🏻 first Rolex is a big milestone for us watch enthusiasts - so this one is that little bit special. And so glad to hear your experience with Prestons has been consistently praiseworthy as well.
Congrats! I have the 124060, as well. Quick tip - if you liked the black rubber "bracelet" on the Yachtmaster, you can purchase a black rubber strap for your Sub to get the same look. I purchased the Rubber B version (black), and you can use your Submariner clasp. It's a great way to get a different look - that looks fantastic - for $260.
Congratulations, you never forget your first Rolex experience and trust me, if you are lucky enough to buy more, it never gets any less exciting. Thanks for sharing.
My first Rolex buying experience was back in 1978, when the watches were considerably cheaper to buy, and there were no difficulties in owning them. Even back in the late 70s, the steel Daytona was a rare watch, produced in tiny numbers, but my first Roles, an Explorer 1655 cost me £524
Am i the only one that has never seen an Rolex AD being so polite to provide some presents for the Customer that is overpaying for an awesome massproduced watch?
Have both 116610ln and 126610ln. AT first could'nt dicide which on I like better. The more I look into it, I do prefer 41mm Submariner. The dail looks more legible and bigger. Nicer more elegant lugs. Does'nt look as blocky looking. I have an 8 inch wrist, Before I had to ware my 40mm sub loose on my wrist because bracelet was not wide enough, now it fills in perfectly.
As they say every Rolex has a story to tell. I bought my Datejust with Fluted Bezel, Blue face and Jubilee bracelet back in 2022. That one is a stunner. Sometimes, I wrist-roll in private just to appreciate its beauty. These watches are absolute embodiment of top class craftsmanship.
@@AnIndianAbroad I contacted the shop the person I spoke to said there is a waiting list but we have had to close It but he recons its probably going to take 3 years to get the watch that is unbelievable.
Just curious, You had just posted on youtube in May. Is this a brand new watch unboxing or worn once before review. Where did you purchase the watch? How long do you wait until AD called you to collect the watch?

I just purchased my first just a couple days ago. (Sea Dweller) I have to admit. My excitement was through the roof but my experience at the store was quite a let down. Yes they have you sit in the Rolex “area” but man when you are dropping almost 12Gs they should really think about the impression. Good for you that they threw in some gifts. Enjoy the piece my friend.
Huge congratulations on your first Rolex Dennis and what a piece to start with 👌🏻 Surprised to hear you were not impressed by your collection day experience but I suppose it comes down to individual AD and the specific staff you end up dealing with? Thank you so much sharing your story though and enjoy your Sea Dweller in good in health my friend 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Hi, just watched & really enjoyed your detailed video on your then brand new no date Rolex sub. I have today ordered my own no date Rolex sub from my local AD…. Seriously can’t wait & sincerely hoping the wait won’t be too long!
Nice Video! 👍 I got my 124060 two weeks ago and it is such a beauty!🤩 You are lucky with your AD that you got some gifts. Take care. Greetings from Ruhrarea/Germany
Thank you and congratulations on your purchase 🥂 I have been very lucky not just with the gifts but also to be able to get the Sub in the first place. Enjoy yours in good health 🙌🏻
Beautiful watch, enjoy with Health and experiences! Thought you were in a high tier restaurant, odd environment setting for a 1st class Boutique Rolex AD! Congratulations!
Thank you 🙏🏻 it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience at this branch and I have since learnt that Prestons have an even bigger boutique and a VIP lounge in one of their other branches. So might need to save up for another Rolex to experience that soon 😉
Wow!! Never even saw the hang tags until now. May be this was waiting for customer to collect then. Honestly, this entire day was so overwhelming, it is still a blur 🙈
Man, thanks a lot for convincing me to get Submariner 41 No Date. I think it looks cleaner compared to date version. Also, I've owned the 41 Datejust Jubilee Rhodium dial. Which is 5 days earlier from the No Date Submariner 😂🙏
In the last 20 years, the emerging market collector’s wrist size is definitely smaller so what is with the massive oversize clasp, oversize lug size and noisy movement. The BB58 is perfect at 39mm in case size, perfect 20mm lug size and thickness of just 11.9 mm….The new sub should have followed the same sizes as the BB58! The new 41mm is clunky compared to the perfect proportions of BB58.
Apart from the Daytona, which is virtually impossible to obtain new, at list price, from your AD, The Submariner is probably the safest watch to blow your hard earned cash on, as in the long term, it will retain its value, and if looked after and serviced when required, will go up in value as well. You will never lose money on a Submariner,
Thank you and congratulations to you on the Explorer too - a beautiful piece and only becoming rarer with the recent discontinuation. Wear it in good health my friend 🙏🏻
congrats man, thanks for sharing your first rolex experience! I hope to buy a black submariner one day as well, at retail price with no prior purchases from an AD!
