    I do tree work and climb. This is ungodly impressive. I love the quarter split about 1 minute in. The sheer amount of time you are splitting with no break has my arms burning.

      I dont know. A long handled still light but a tad heavy axe beats anything that could be considered a maul.
      Maul if so you can slowly lift and drop, not accurately and quickly split some trees up

    I have never seen anyone ever swing an axe like this man. The way he goes left and right on the over head swing. I would be 6 inches shorter if I tried this. Taking out my left and right shin. These Husqvarna axes are the short handle versions. It takes brute strength from the whole body to take them down. One tough dude. AWESOME VIDEO.

      Yeah, if you can pause the video (or just watch it carefully) you can see a lot of ghosting, which can indicate a video's speed was changed.

    I am only 25 summers old, and 5'6", but quite physically solid. I fell trees by axe and split logs every single morning to night, and I DO NOT, I REPEAT, I DO NOT WANT TO get stuck in the woods with this man at an anger! The all-father Odin is looking at this man!!

      Rick Monty Fiskars makes one of the best axes I’ve ever used. I have the X27, made in Finland. Supremely wieldable and ergonomic, with incredible splitting ability.

    That´s genius! He uses single-handed rotary movment of an axe instead of double hand rise and chop. Rotary movement can reach higher speed and that´s more power.

    The amount of grounding the axe experienced makes me cringe. And don’t get me wrong, this is extremely fuckin impressive, but I hate having chips or rolls on my axes blades

    Even though a lot of these pieces have to be split again hats off to this guy because if anyone knows about splitting you know that it's a lot harder to split a piece sets laying flat on the ground as opposed to sitting on top of another piece of wood is for instance like a cutting logres splitting walk you set all the logs on that one and then split them but most of his are laying on the ground pretty impressive I know he was about to pass out after this was done LOL and some parts of it are fast forwarded but still

    I live north of Houston and the trees we got in our area is White Oak and red Oak which is the only thing worth splitting and you just can’t do this with that if you get a big round of red Oak it’ll laugh at a wedge sometimes just pop out over and over again when you hit it with a sledgehammer and it’s pretty much impossible to split with an ax unless you get it broken down into smaller pieces
