    This was so reassuring. Thank you so much for this video doctor I got hit with a UA-cam algorithmic video that suggested. I was going through male pattern boldness according to me, losing a little bit of my Crown. But after you explained this particular pattern, it makes so much more sense now because I never thought i'd be losing hair since I have a full head of hair and it's very thick. This has been an absolute relief

    Hey Doctors,
    Been following you guys for a while now and enjoying all the valuable content. Could you possibly cover the topic of thyroid hormone production in relation to androgenic alopecia? From what I know it is currently a debated topic. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and also suffer from male pattern baldness. A low functioning thyroid causes a low amount of progesterone. Progesterone blocks DHT production just as finasteride does. Is it possible that a lack of natural progesterone in men due to low functioning thyroid could cause the exacerbation of male pattern baldness especially in young men?
    Thanks!

    Hi can you please answer this question or possibly make a video on it. I’m taking finasteride for hair loss and it’s working fantastic but I know reduction in dht is not going to help beard growth so I use minoxidil on my face . So I’m using finasteride and minoxidil combined which is common but one is for beard growth. Will the minoxidil help my beard growth with the reduced dht from finasteride? I’ve decent growth in it now but just a little sparse on the sides that I want to thicken.....I’ve been on finasteride for 2 years and started the minoxidil for beard 3 months ago( with no results yet on beard)

    Great Vid Doc. I have always noticed this. With some people they can have a larger crown than others.
    A topic I would love to hear from you about would be scalp inflammation and how this affects hair loss.
    Big love from Brisbane

      Eliminate stress, eat more healthy foods. Vitamins or collagen supplements help as well. Using clay or matte pomade helps alot.

    • @crankyboiy
      @crankyboiy 3 роки тому +4

      U need fin and minox. Fin helps with long term hairloss bcus it reduces dht, hormone that thins hair. Minox just helps grow but existing hair will continue to fall. Either take fin by itself or take it with minox.

    **Please** can you say if finasteride would work on traction alopecia due to dreadlocks?
    **Thanks**

    • @nofuntop6191

      dreadlocks shold'nt result in traction alopecia....the traction isn't important enough that may be classic hairline recession and yes finasteride might work.

    Hi, I am 22 years old and currently on 1mg Fin each other day for about 1 month. I am mostly affected by hair loss in the crown area (~Norwood 2.5). Given my young age, is it still recommended to be on such low dose/frequency because I am probably more sentitive to DHT? Should I up the dose to 1mg daily or wait for first results in 3-4 months?
    Thank you for your response!

      Just my layman’s understanding, but it sounds like guys should use as little as they can to get a result. Maybe people become resistant to Finestride over time too? Probably best to use just enough.
