Welcome to another episode of The Eight Nine Garage. In this episode, I make the common upgrade to a Harbor Freight Manual Tire Changer. This is a really nice piece for the money. Do any of you have this tire changer? Any other mods you'd suggest?
I need to make one of those too, wish you had a camera holder so we could see it in action.
When I get tires for my Mustang, I'll do some more video. I also will be making a new mount for it to go in the trailer hitch on my truck. I appreciate your support!!

If it works good and it’s wheels you do care about just wrap those places with tape and it’ll be fine to not scratch anything. I think you’ve sold me on this bad boy dude.
I'm sure glad I bought it, especially if these prices for a mount and balance keep climbing! Good tip on tape... I'll have to remember that one.
Great mod! I was a tire mounter for a few years in high school, this brings back some memories, lol.

30-40 each is a steal dude. Around where I live it runs you about 90 per tire.

man i need one of those really bad, Im like you im not crazy about paying 30-40 bucks per tire just to put it on. the entire job only takes 10min max thats a slick mod that you done to it. If I bought one id hafta hire you to make your adapter for me cause I dont have a welder or know how to use one 🤣😂
LOL... let me know! I'l be glad to help. I think I'm going to get a different method of balancing down for the future though. I don't want to bead balance the Mustang's. It worked well for the SUV tires though.
BTW, I bought this thing 3 weeks ago, and it's already gone up to 49.99 since then.
@@89G thats crazy thanks joe brandon 🤣 I better hurry up and get one before it goes up even more but yeah man I really need to get one ive been thinking about it for a while but Yeah if u didnt mind making those pcs for me ill be getting it sooner because I have new rims comin from summit and i dont wanna scratch them up but back when i put tires on it was 10-15 bucks to mount and balance a tire . dude charged me 10 bucks for a valve stem and the rim and tire was already separated
@@89G dont they have a bubble balancer at harbor freight to use to balance them with . i think its double what the tire machine cost

Now you done that mod, can you do bigger tires now? I thought you can only do big as 16 on it?

Thanks Greg. I still test positive... but feel alright. Mostly a head cold is all it's been. My fever only lasted two hours, and it's gone now.

I'm feeling quite a bit better. Just a light head cold remains, and a lack of energy. It really wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be.
