Wojtek really went "I'm here to chess" and proceeded to chess. Once there was no chess to be had, he left, for his duty was over.
😂
Lmfao.
Hahahahaha
He is a Man of Focus Commitment and Sheer fucking will
This comment annoys me for some reason
Plot twist: he was actually 1800 and went for the intimidation strategy.

I'm almost sure this is Wojtech Sochacki, International Master from France born in Poland. That would explain both her "bonjour" and his name.
@@lukasz.adamski you are very clever!❤
Plot twist 2: he wanted to date with the girl but he has some problems xd
When you’re opponent is socially awkward you know you’re in trouble
She distract him
Id say she was the socially awkward one lol
He was all business and definitely not intimidated. However perhaps he underestimated her and opened too fast for a quick kill. 2300 is an insane rating, and him simply saying that wish chilling. I’m actually impressed she pulled a draw, very, very impressive, (even if he underestimated her and borderline blundered with a sloppy dragon opening trying to trap and defeat her quickly).
There's nothing here that is really socially awkward...
😂😂😂😂
all I need to know is he smiled before asking for a draw ,which leads me to believe he was also having fun
i think he misjudged her, but once she showed she can play, he was instantly attracted to her. lol.
I think he just smiled during that pause because he was letting her look at the board before he put the pieces on it.
Well duhhh who is gonna play a game they do not like
Guy has about as much charisma as I’d expect from a chess world champion
Except an International Master is not a World Champion?

We are, OF COURSE, acknowledging that she WAS FLUSTERED, knowing that his ranking was obnoxiously high and doubting her ability to play against him. Of all people, why would he play her and why would her name matter? And it's definitely not possible that this interaction was cut from the short...
Don't take life so seriously. It started well and ended well. It was just a cool moment of 2 passionate chess players. Relax dude.
The video is edited to fit into a short, it's possible she just edited out her introduction.

A chess champ doesn't care about the opponents looks, they care about the game. He knew she's good abs so a draw is better than a loss for his stat's.
I think it was a timer issue and he didn’t want to play the slap move game to try and burn up your opponent’s timer for a victory. I hate those kinds of matches as they often come down to reaction times and not deep chess skill.
I used to be a decent 1600 player with a few bright moments and captured two out of three victories from a low 2000’s ranked player who kept fumbling especially when I fed him pieces as out timers bled out. His name was Carlson Chan and he was amazing, but somehow my pathetic self would break him especially on 4 minutes per side matches. Almost anyone else and he’d annihilate them, but I was just a dark cloud he kept avoiding because somehow I had his number. (Only beat him once in a 30 minute per side match, he was just devastating and would sometimes try to defeat me taking the least amount of pieces just to give himself a challenge. But he was my victim in short speed matches).
@@john-paulsilke893I used to play chess more often and I hate that shit too. But the higher score player's gotta offer it. I've snagged a few games I had no right winning for this reason

I honestly can't tell if you're being grotesquely sleazy,
or if you're being charmingly enthusiastic about anyone being enthusiastic about stuff they like doing?
She accepted a draw! With
no hesitation!
it's obvious. i'm more surprised he offered draw even before threefold repetition occurs
There's a whole lot more going on here. He's behind a pretty essential pawn, so a draw from a bad position is good for him. On top of that, he is able to force her to choose between that draw (through the repetition) and giving up her knight, which would turn the position into a really bad one for her. Basically, he's not offering a draw there, he's concluding that neither of them is going to choose a bad position over draw, so he's just skipping the motions of going through that repetition.
yeah, but it's pretty clearly a draw, no reason to hesitate.

Bishop F1 to B5 she respond with knight C3 to B5 and his King C6 to B5 and slowly he would won that with knight, king and rest of the pawns.
Yes, she is pretty and was nice to him. He wanted a draw so they might meet again. He probably took the pieces as a memento.

@@karlomagnoguadalupe4843Thank you ❤
I love how expressive you are.
Bro came to play and play he did.
A few years ago, I played chess online against random players. I'm terrible and never really improve. Anyway, as opposed to learning chess theory, which is beyond my capabilities, or studying end games (the first and best way to improve), I learned an "opening system." The system I learned was the White Stonewall Attack. It's basically six or seven opening moves for White. 75% of the time, I'd get my pieces on their desired squares. If not, I'd have to wing it. When my pieces are where they are intended to be, it becomes obvious what their capabilities are. After playing this opening, say two hundred times, the benefits include recognizing my opponent's bad and wasteful moves. Not having to waste precious time thinking because I already know where my pieces are headed. Although, admitedly, I often hesitate in the beginning if I'm playing a much better player. If he sees me moving too quickly, he might pause and say to himself, "This guy is openeing with the stonewall. Hmm." And start recollecting what works best against it. My rating improved from 1200, or so, to over 1350. But listen. When I played players with ratings over 1600, and some even near 1800, I'd occasionally win. Lol. Maybe one in every twelve game or so. Without the stonewall, I'd be lucky to win one out of twenty-five. Oh, my reason for posting? Lol. Well, when I'd find myself winning against a much better player? You better believe my hands would be shaking. A famous chess player once said, "It's more difficult to play when you have a winning position then when having a losing position".
bro, your comment is longer than the video
@@viramundogs Only because of my desire to instill a bit of hope in folks who love chess but aren't good and don't expect to improve much. Do you play chess?
@viramundogs Plus, even the masters agree it is fruitless to study chess "openings" if one has not studied and improved at end games. The Stonewall is labeled a "system."
