3:26 How is this one ever genius? It's the only move you could possibly do and not win. You could have promoted to Queen or Rook and won. You could have moved King and still won because a pawn is technically enough material to win. The only way you draw is by underpromoting to a knight or bishop. This is not genius. This is arguably the biggest blunder in chess history.

If by “black mate” you meant that it's possible to checkmate then you are correct. But it seems that you didn't read the line completely. It is written "Draw by timeout and insufficient material". What happened is white ran out of time. Normally white should lose because they ran out of time but there is this special rule. According to this rule, if one side has the sufficient material to checkmate while the other side does not have sufficient material to checkmate, and the side with the sufficient material runs out of time, then the games ends in a draw. It happens because one side had sufficient material to checkmate but ran out of time, while the other side did not have sufficient material to checkmate. Hope that helps

@@tomekczajka Sorry you might have seen my original comment, I misspoke and edited it. It's specifically if any sequence could win against a lone king. I think there has to be a certain cut-off where they assume you're not going to just checkmate yourself.
Then there's the extra question of even in this hypothetical scenario where you do want to checkmate yourself against your opponents knight, you'd still have to do it within the 50 move rule. I don't think anyone would argue that black could seriously checkmate white here even assuming poor play. It'd have to be the worst play of all time.
