Hi all - just an update, EasySMX emailed me to say they updated their discount code for the X20 on Amazon US: X20KOL15 is good for 15% off, stacks with Amazon sales, and is good through December 31st.
Great review as always. Thanks for the shout out about the back paddles. I’ve picked up one of these, it arrives in a a week. I’ll have a go at making some paddles for it.
I received this controller yesterday, ordered it from the Easysmx website and waited roughly 10 day's for delivery (I'm from the UK). I also have the X10 which is a great controller so when i saw the X20 i hoped it was the X10 on steroids and boy oh boy. The X20 is absolutely badass 😎
@rifathossain8940 Compared to the X10, the X20 is definitely worth having. The build quality is good on both controllers. I still feel the hall sticks are better on the X10 though. However now that I've had the X20 this long I can now tell you that what ever material was used to make the X20 does lose colour in a bad way where the palm of your hand holds the controller. I now only use the X20 when it's dark. I hope this helps bro.
Nice used the code came out to like $28. I really like the X10 for the light trigger tension and buttons. I love the Flydigi back button layout. With both of those considerations I'm excited to try this out.
@@goobatroopa_ I’m happy that someone, anyone, got to use the code! First time I’ve had anything like that to give back to my audience! I said it in the video, but it’s just hard to imagine a better deal at that price. $28 is like what you spend on a generic Switch controller at Walmart or something, but this is a full fledged pro controller with lots of bells and whistles.
@@OldManRob13 Totally agree with you. I have a cheap beater BinBok generic switch controller that's $20. While the ergonomics are good the rest is very cheap. I'll hand that to any dorito finger lickers during couch coop lol. For $8 - $10 more to get the x20 with so many premium features is wild. I was also able to snag the Direwolf 2 and Easysmx x10 for $30ish each. It will be nice to be able to hand my friends actually nice controllers when they come over without having had to pay nearly twice the amount.
So the amazon price/sale changed sometime in the last like 6 hours...but our discount code still stacks, and I'm pretty sure its actually even cheaper now...
@@edcoombes4211 Thank you! I’m on iPhone, so haven’t tested with an android, but the controller pairs to my iPhone/ipad, and no issues with gamepass cloud gaming, if that’s what you’re referring to. No idea on fire tv stick. I haven’t messed around with the fire tv gaming stuff at all.
@@zerorequiem42 I’m reluctant to say its BETTER than the SE, just because I’ve put hundreds of hours into that controller and have had no issues, so I just don’t know if the EasySMX will be as durable…but if I were hopping on to play right now, with both controllers sitting in front of me…I’m picking up the X20, cause it does more of the things I want - mechanical face buttons and trigger stops, and 4 rear buttons.
@@OldManRob13 Yeah, longevity is important. I think I will try both first and then decide. Returning the one that is worse to me. If those mechanical buttons feel as amazing as they seem, I'll probably go with the easy smx.
Sorry, thats unfortunate to hear. I don't use gyro at all, so something I've never really tested, but maybe I should teach myself to do that. Any recommendations for games to use for testing gyro?
@@OldManRob13 - I'd suggest browsing through some of the vids from www.youtube.com/@FlickStickVids I personally don't play any games with built-in gyro compatibilty and rely on being able to use Steam Input or the controller's own settings to add gyro in games like Skyrim, mostly for aiming (e.g. aiming a bow, which is difficult with the stick).
Could you do me a favor and test the gyro in "gyro to mouse" mode in Steam input? I asked an employee and they said that the gyro works on Steam (in Switch mode) but also said to select the gyro JOYSTICK option. And all of the info I see online only mentions gyro being bound to the joysticks. sooooo I am unsure if the gyro is permanently locked to its joysticks
@@dertodyami yeah, kinda odd that it doesn’t, considering how much customization you can do. I’m glad there’s a manual recalibration option though. I didn’t need to use it, but I’ve had plenty of controllers in the past that I felt were kinda ruined by the lack of that option.
@@ImSoFunnybruh Xbox Kontrol Freeks fit, but are just a bit tight, kinda have to be careful getting them on to not damage the joystick caps. PS ones are way too loose if you’re using anything other than a low rise.

@@stevensv4864 The hall sticks feel very good - responsive and consistent. I’m still a little on the fence as to whether they feel as good as GameSir’s, but that might be due to a lot more time played on GameSir controllers.
