I've had the X10 for about 6 months and I've now had the X20 for about a month now, On the side note I also own the Elite series 2. The X10 is a solid controller but when the X20 was released I thought if it felt just like the X10 with all the added extras then I was on to a winner. The sticks on the X20 don't feel as good as the X10 also the build quality feels more solid on the X10. Overall I prefer to use my X10 as my daily driver even over my Elite series 2. The X20 does not come with any software like the X10 does which was also a deal breaker for me. Here's a quick tip - As the software for the X10 only works with android. Once you have used a android to download software and fine tuned your X10 you can now use the controller with say an apple device with all the settings still saved on the controller.
I might do a follow up video on the X20 specifically... maybe even try to open it to see if something can be done with the d-pad. The sticks are not terrible, but they are not better than the X10 to me.
Im gonna order x20, if they dont lie wireless 1000 hz pollint rate is amazing. Also 4 backbuttons is really good for me. Is there PC software for backbuttons? Thanks
thanks for the review after watching this i decided to order the X20 from aliexpress because it was on a discount deal where it only costs 38$, and because it has the most features out of this lineup
So I have a pretty decent amount of use on the x10 and love it. Was very excited for the x20. It's a lot lighter and sure has the placebo of feeling cheaper (texture and weight). But I liked the shape, like that it's lighter, and and enjoyed that the bumpers and buttons are just like mouse clicks. Was so stoked for 4 back buttons.... BUT... the snapback on the sticks is truly terrible. If i'm holding right to quickly scroll through items and then let go it moves back a menu item. If I have my character moving in a direction with the stick all the way and then let go the face the opposite direction. The X10 doesn't do that. To me it's the only flaw of the x20 but it's a fatal flaw ( to me ) that shouldn't be happening at that price point.
I get why some people could see value in the X20 but there would be a lot of omissions required to really appreciate that controller for its features. Anyone wanting an X20 might want to look at Manba One V2 instead tbh.
Hey you did this great comparison video between 20 controllers, and I was wondering if you could tell if the x20 has the same low polling rate and stability as the X10? Most reviews state that the X10 feels more premium, but maybe they have upped the quality of the actual electronics? Otherwise, I'd probably get a Gamesir G7 instead
Rumble is your traditional rotary motor, feels good and it’s a good feeling rotary, not overly noisy either. Same for gyro, reliable, nothing abnormal to note. I still regularly recommend the X10, which is a testament considering the market evolved so much in the last 6 months, and it’s still relevant.
is the x15 really that bad? I wanted it over the x05 for the back paddles (to map the paddles to gear shifts in racing games), so you're saying I should forget about it and go with x05?
It's not that it's that bad, I would've praised it more if it would've at least been as good as the X05 but with pretty RGB. It's not "the worst ever" but it's definitely worst than the X05, both for sticks and dpad, but it's a lot prettier. Pretty is ok when everything is good, not when a lot if left to be desired. That's my honest take.
@@JoaoMXN I would gladly take "a bit more latency" versus "terrible everything else". I can't, in good conscience, recommend X15 for anyone serious about gaming. You want to lay back, enjoy some couch casual gaming, and you want it to look cool while doing it? X15 is your pick. The moment it gets serious, latency won't save you from the build quality, the buttons that feel cheap, the sticks that are not reliable, etc. It's low cost with low quality from where I stand.
@@GameTechTalk I agree actually. The problem is the stick latency of for example the X10. It's like 160% more than the X15. Yes, it doesn't make sense why it has so much, but it's worse than controllers from the last 2 decades.
I own the X10 and bought the X20 hoping it would be the upgrade I was hoping for...1000Hz polling rate over dongle and 4 rear buttons. But there are some shortcomings, such as the rear buttons only registering 1 press at a time, and the sticks feeling worse than the X10. I also agree that the X10 feels more premium, but I was willing to look past that. I ended up returning the X20 and keeping the X10. Both solid controllers for the price. I feel like it's a matter of quality vs quantity... the X20 is feature packed, but feels lower quality. Not that the X20 feels super cheap, but the X10 just feels like it should cost more.
Yup, quality (X10) vs quantity (X20), 100% in agreement! And that last sentence you dropped? Bro, I'm gonna let you cook, keeping dropping those hot bars!! 🔥🔥🔥
@@GameTechTalk Exactly. What we need is an upgraded X10 with 1000 Hz polling rate over 2.4 GHz, trigger stops and a d-pad similar to the Direwolf 2. Was disappointed in the feel and face buttons of the X20 compared to the X10.
I got the X10. I found later the X20 on YT videos but as soon as I saw the reviews I could feel through the screen the overall lower quality of the controller. I am keeping the X10. Don't care about those extra features.
Really curious with EasySMX controllers. It's just that they have identical controllers with other brands. The X05 is almost identical to Nova Lite, even the dongle (besides the switch mode at the back). The X15 has identical controller to Aolion (starfield & zelda design). Then there's the M15 which is the same to Memo S3. The M10 is more promising though. I do prefer gamesir controllers more. I just recently bought the Gamesir Tarantula. Then after seeing your video on Aolion K10, I bought that too. The purple color just looks so good and resemble the Evangelion Unit 01 color scheme.
