Flydigi Apex 4: Black Myth Wukong Review! An Upgraded Apex 4 with 2000hz Polling Rate!
In this video, we unbox and review the Apex 4, Black Myth Wukong Edition.
This special edition of the Apex 4 features Nearlink technology for 2000hz polling, wired and wireless!
Beyond that it also has:
Adaptive triggers
Hall Effect thumbsticks with adjustable tension
4 remappable rear buttons
Keyboard mapping
Mechanical face buttons

      I mean if you're not worried about restricted polling rate, a Brook Wingman XB3 with the Vader 4 Pro will work. Have multiple friends who play with nothing but that on Series X.

    • @OldManRob13
      @OldManRob13 Годину тому

      I should mention it does require a tiny bit of finagling. Typically have to unplug and replug the Brook adapter when you turn the Xbox on, then turn the controller off and back on. No issues with disconnecting or anything, but have to do that every time you boot up the Xbox, so slightly annoying if you play wirelessly and wanna use the controller to turn the Xbox on/off.

    I like this controller but i already have the vader 4 pro , i think if there is an apex 5 with TMR and nearlink that could be worth an upgrade . is there any soon to be released controllers with TMRs and interesting features? I know EasySMX x30 with TMR is coming in Q2 2025 and the Gamesir G7 pro. this what EasySMX they told me personally in an Email: ''We are pleased to announce that we will be launching a new generation X30 controller in the second quarter of 2025, which will incorporate more advanced technology, potentially including the TMR sensors and higher polling rate you mentioned.''

    • @MonderMatrix
      @MonderMatrix День тому

      @4tado i have the blitz 2 tmr and the cyclone 2 , they both feel in another level to aim with, to put it in simple words, it's less over shooting, meaning when i move the sticks i tend to stop moving before reaching the target and then on the target with slightly reduced speed more easily and constantly. That's not just feeling i have other controllers and i do my own testing on Aimlaps. I think there will be even more good controllers next year and they will perform even better for even cheaper prices similar to the cyclone 2.

    I use the pivot everyday sinse the 26th (li got in launch day) , in this time i played mostly red dead redemption 2 (aim assisst completely disabled), Turbo kid, blasphemous and aim laps . the sticks need some getting used to , but they are good for micro movement (because of the low tension) , if ypu think about it , if we push two sicks , one with high resistance and one with low resistance we will start moving first with low resistance . the 5% dead zone is quarenteed out of box , and that is actually a very small dead zone . the triggers have no wiggle and they move smoothly with no friction , and if we raise the question are they fast ? i would answer , very fast and they are very good , and as for the trigger pressing sound (with the trigger stopps engaged ) it's a very good sound in my opnion. (for 2 platformers ) not being able to comtomize all buttons limited the usabitlity of the controller and made the P1 and P2 actually stay in the way , because using the ABXY is not the way you would prefer if you thing about it , idealy you would want to use the first 4 buttons on the edge (namely P1 P2 Y B ) . the buttons and the D-Pad all are very satisfying to press and feel premium to me , BUT if you compare those to mechaincal pressed , i can feel my EasySMX X20 is way faster ( x20 is all mechanical) , but because the movement is accurate and the pressed are quarenteed you can get used to the Pivot buttons and still perform accurate movement with high precision, and in the very very long term even if a button or two wears out , you still able to use other buttons np. the facebuttons feel big when pressed regardless if them being physically not big! i think the membrane in the back gives this feeling. one time B stopped working , i had to move the pivot mechanism in order it for work , i moved it just one time and it started working again , i don't know if this is normal (I tested other controller when this happened to make sure it is not from the game , and closed and opened the controller and the dongle to make sure it is not from the software of the controller). over all i like it so much it feels really good to use and feels primium all over and looks pretty damn good , the best looking controller in my opinion

      I think the input lag is a non issue , the polling rate is not worst than first party controllers and the internal generated delay within the controller seem very low , and the controller still give immediet feed back after giving an input. in PC side of things there are better performing controllers (shouldn't really matter for non competetive games)and on console the lag should be on bar with it's first party counter parts .

      @@StormRage1031 Lower is better. the very first option in Step Precision Settings, above 32, is labeled “Step Accuracy” rather than a number. Presumably it’s 16, but for some reason they labeled it differently. That’s the best setting to use. I know that’s a little confusing, but if you look in the settings, you’ll see the top radio button you can select, above the 32, has the name “Step Accuracy” instead of a number. no idea why they did it that way.

    Fantastic review! I have a good question for you I’ve been asking around and you would probably know best as you use the Vader 4 pro currently same as I do. I found this controller 3 weeks after falling in love with the Vader 4. I bought the Zues 2 to try as I loved the extra bumpers! I love everything about the Zues but I don’t like the thumb sticks why do they feel so different and not buttery smooth like the Vader 4? Almost like there’s a very slight delay to them and I can’t get used to it.

    • @OldManRob13
      @OldManRob13 12 днів тому

      To the best of my knowledge, the difference you're feeling is the hall effect sticks. In my experience hall effect sticks are much smoother, and I believe it's due to the way they work, i.e. magnetic sensors reporting the position of the stick, versus physical components that actually measure the position of the stick in potentiometer thumbsticks. That said, a not small percentage of people prefer the way potentiometer sticks feel, and claim they're more accurate overall. I personally love the feeling of hall effect and TMR sticks, but even if I didn't I think I would advocate for them, just due to the stick drift concerns. The only real complaint I've ever had about hall effect sticks is that they tend to have less tension than potentiometer modules do....but the Vader 4 solved that, too, lol. Thanks for the support!

      @ the only thing that conflicts that for me is I played with the bigbigwon rainbow 2 SE before the Vader 4 and to me the sticks felt almost identical and I’m pretty sure tht controller doesn’t have Hall effect sticks

    • @OldManRob13
      @OldManRob13 12 днів тому

      @ I actually haven’t tried the Rainbow 2 SE (or Rainbow 2 Pro), but I believe you’re correct that it doesn’t have Hall effect sticks. It does have a higher bitrate like the Vader 4 though, so I wonder if that’s part of the reason it feels so similar to you. If you liked the Rainbow 2, did you consider trying the Blitz 2? That’s the only other gamepad that’s in the same category for me, as far as my favorite controllers.
