    The company should have a rating system to let driver’s know which customers are less prone to tip, giving us to option to see who the bad actors are.

      I'd like a warning for customers that have claimed they didn't receive it in the past aka higher risk. That's kinda how I think about Uber's PIN system.

      @ericberry6557 3 місяці тому +2

      Lol that would mean less orders delivered. They will never do that and a customer could say that was discrimination

      That's why on EVERY order I text a picture of me holding the food in front of the address number to the customer in the app chat and then when it's usually leave at the door I text a picture of the food on the floor by the door in the chat. I haven't had a single BS claim since in the last year and a half. People are less likely to mark they didn't receive it when they've been shown there's solid evidence that the order was brought to the right place. @@YourDriverMike

      @@YourDriverMike I used to deliver for Dominoes, as late as 2019. It was almost always cash on delivery. Doing it for DoorDash didn’t feel any different to me. Don’t know if it had changed post covid. Their “company policy” was no firearms, too. Most widely violated policy, besides speeding, that I knew of. Everyone I knew, including the store manager carried.

    7. Doordash support does not give a crap. I have audio recording, via my dashcam, where in wanted them to intervene on a delivery because a customer set the delivery location as the same address as the merchant and then put in an entirely different address in the delivery instructions. The support agent said they were going to put me on hold and call the customer. For whatever reason, they didn't put me on hold and I got to listen to the agent talk to a coworker about their lunch plans. Then, after a minute, told me they couldn't reach the customer. They directed me to confirm pickup and then confirm delivery (thus completing the delivery and paying me). The customer reached out to me minutes later wondering what had happened and asked where their food was. Just amazing.

    I had a 70% AR. Last friday, I literally got 20 orders back to back offering $2 per order during rush hour. High AR means absolutely nothing. My AR is now lower, but DD lies. Their pay scale has decreased horrendously.
    DD literally wants you to deliver food and put wear and tear on your vehicle for free. They don't value their delivery drivers offering $2 is an insult.

    I have learned not to break my neck to dash where there is a peak pay. In my experience, there were fewer offers and/or they were in areas where fewer customers actually tip. I have gotten tired of wasting my time during non lunch/dinner hours, and especially areas where the majority of folks feel entitled to services they are not paying for.

      I didn't think that DD could make delivering more difficult when they suspended me back in 2018, but they sure are doing a great job at that! I can tell you that managing a delivery system is hard, but man, they have the money and resources. But their biggest problem is their business model. They need to keep drivers from earning more than $22 an hour. Which is the reverse on my app, which it is optimized to earn drivers $30, $60 or $90+ while lowering costs for businesses and drivers!🤙

Suprisingly all those little 3 dollar orders I would never pick up that delivered ended up making me a little over 26.00 an hour, which wiped away the guaranteed 16.25 they would have paid me.(I only do this option on slow days.) I think the in app map doesn't sync your google map settings. So if you have avoid toll roads turned on (Texas has them around our cities) the app will not change routes to avoid the tolls, using the in-app map which i expected since its also google maps it would've synced my nav settings

    If you're not using something to protect yourself against customers saying you didn't deliver to them use timestamp camera it's completely free easy to use and it gives a time/GPS stamp to the picture that you can verify when you take the picture. You then submit that picture. Some orders won't let you submit a picture that wasn't taken by the app or if you use Uber eats (it only lets you use the camera in the app) take a second picture with timestamp camera app for your records. It has saved me as I have never had a contact violation stick because I can prove where I was. You can even take video of you dropping it off.

      Earn by time if you aren't already. If orders are that far apart, the base pay will usually be higher than the tip. Take your time and drive safe (Don't delay the delivery to run out the clock, but there's no need to rush.), Every pickup where the food isn't immediately ready, tell DD, it gives you an option before confirming to tell them why there's a delay. This prevents you from being considered late even when you are a few minutes late. The EBT rate is probably about $15 an hour in your location, but it only counts active time. If you accept every order, you'll have less downtime due to priority, and earn closer to that rate before tips. You should probably be able to average $15-25 an hour depending on what times and days you're working.

    Every issue I ever have that could affect me will result in me calling support . I want them to know right then what my issue is and get live documentation. That way ahead of the customer drop off the company already understands the situation . When they are live with you they can adjust things on there end and note the problems preventing you from blame on something that can affect your job with them. Always contact support. I don’t believe in emails and texts I’m old fashioned . There is nothing more direct than a live conversation with two real people instead of text back and forth. I want someone to be accountable and in my corner quick not after a problem is created. Obviously in cases with fraud you can’t be ahead . On all other issues your aware of you can.

Add to that outside noise or overhead store music... It is very hard. Hidden tips: For that diamond priority thing, you may (or will) get a message that says something like "tip/amount WILL be higher". So, why not just show the higher amount in the first place? Dangling a carrot? Or an add-on: "$6.00+", and then on drop off, the pay is . . . $6.00. I'm tired of DD's games when it comes to the actual amount of money we will be making for each delivery. I do take the offer based on the initial amount/miles/etc., but DD is a bit childish when it comes to their little games.

    Would definitely be nice to have more transparency with DoorDash overall. Like customers who order from a merchant online and they are told they are getting “free delivery”…but the merchant is just outsourcing deliveries third party and upcharging their menu to cover costs. No doubt this happens
    Also would be nice if they made it more aware on shop and deliver orders to the customer that the person shopping their order is the same person delivering it. I just don’t know that everyone realizes this.
    And yeah many other things I wish there was more transparency with.

    A customer had BIG ROACHES on their porch so instead of putting their food bag on the porch, I placed it up high on a small table next to their door, away from the roaches. I sent the customer a photo of the bag on the table so they ould find it and used a time stamped app that showed the correct address. I guess the customer didnt see the photo because they reported they never received the order. So, I got a contract violation. I confirmed with a support agent that the photo was proof of delivery. They said it was correct. I appealed the violation but doordash never removed it.
