Italy has won three times:
1964: Gigliola Cinquetti - "Non ho l'età"
1990: Toto Cutugno - "Insieme: 1992"
2021: Måneskin - "Zitti e buoni"
Italy particpated for the first time in 1956 with the songs "Aprite le finestre" performed by Franca Raimondi and "Amami se vuoi" performed by Tonina Torrielli as in that year (1956) each conuntry competed with two songs.
