I left my country, Korea, 43 years ago, and I am seeing and learning these cities of Korea through your videos. Thank you SO much!!! I really love your family and your videos. I wish you guys a safe trip back!
This salon and piano "studio" can be found in the Netflix Drama "Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol" and those little paper "tags" is a game. You pay for a chance to win a prize, but usually even if you fail, you get a piece of candy.
I have worked at mokpo from this year. I just like to stay at house but you have been so many places in mokpo. Thank you for making this video and I will try to go places where you filmed in this video
8:16 its a sort of lottery for kids. you pay 2000 won and you pick 3 on the board. depending on what number you picked, you get various snacks. looks like the jackpot is a cookie or chip set, and the default is a hard candy. i haven't seen one of those since i was a kid. very nostalgic!
The blue cardboard board outside of the toy store with all the little papers is like a lottery, probably for a toy! If you pay the 2,000won you can pull the tab and there is a number inside that corresponds to a prize on a list :)
As a Korean, I enjoy your videos. But I want to give you some advice. In Korea, it is rude to leave a lot of food without eating, so it is good restaurant etiquette to order only as much as you can eat. Respect for food waste and food is a very important culture in Korea. Additionally, food waste is a burden on restaurants. I hope you understand that ordering only as much as you can eat shows respect for the restaurant. Please know that, unlike the United States, Korea has a deep respect for food.
You're totally right and I appreciate you pointing that out. While we certainly always try not to waste things, we also prioritize trying new things and in the case of the octopus, ordered the smallest portion and still couldn't manage to finish it. But I agree with you and admire Korean's respect for food-- it's one of the reasons we love the country so much.
@@StephandPete I never meant to get involved with you guys. I live in the United States with my American wife, and I clearly feel this cultural difference. It's just advice. Your choice is your freedom. Thank you for understanding!
We are being sponsored by the KTO- we say it as the beginning of every video. Very grateful for the opportunity to visit one of our favorite countries for a third time.

Pete that outfit is everything. But no to the fedora.
