I commebted years ago on your firsr trip about the car seats lol, we ended up visiting korea back in April, i was stationed in Daegu and it remains my favorite city in Korea, I hope you guys had time to explore it a bit! Daegu has hometown vibes with the big city feel and when i lived there it made me feel at home and i got to share it with my mrs. And in laws that joined us. Even tho we were just there im still jealous you guys are back again! Lol enjoy the road trip!
Hello again! Pete and Hays got to explore a little bit unfortunately the downside of traveling so much is we have to also build in time to work so I spent most of the time in the hotel. 😔 But- we’ll certainly be back!! Thanks for watching and commenting.
@StephandPete we are planning another trip there with the kids(currently 4 and 2) in 2 years, who knows maybe our paths will cross in Korea one day haha
Welcome to korea!! 😅😅 Kerry lee maher ( He was an American professor at an university at Busan in Korea ^^ ) said 'MLB game is like an Opera but KBO game is like a rock festival..ha ha~ good luck and be careful ~😅😅
As an old fan of Samsung Lions, living abroad now, I really miss this stadium. This team is the oldest team that has kept the name and hometown, DAEGU, since the foundation of the KBO league in 1982. So, this baseball team shares lots of memories with the citizens, and I think that's why this team is known as one of the most famous and popular teams in Korea. Thanks to your video, I could feel the heat and passion of the fans as if I were there!!!💙💙💙
This is a master piece. A super informative documentary about activity at a South Korean baseball game. It’s evident that Stephanie is not a baseball fan as there was no scenes of any players shown 😲.Hays description of camping was priceless. “ Bring it on to mommy now” and yes, Hays needs his own channel. Adding a South Korea baseball game to my bucket list.
As a lions fan, I enjoyed your video! One thing about the foods. In Korean baseball stadiums, food courts are in many spots with different foods. In Lions Park, there's mango shaved ice and creamy battered shrimp on 5th floor, chinese and bbq pork outside near parking lot, cold noodle and pot stickers behind the cheering section and such. So next time if you have another chance to visit any of the ballpark, make sure to search the location of famous ones for a much better Korean baseball experience. Hope you have a great time in Korea. One more thing! your son is very adorable!
You can even buy snacks at a nearby convenience store and take them into a cinema. They used to not allow that but more and more consumers asked for change and the government came up with a new guideline about 10 years ago (not sure if it's mandated but most places did follow it and it's become standard) that bringing snacks from outside shall be allowed. I grew up in Korea, this is something I liked about it. People voice and make positive changes, it's a democracy.
아 삼성 대구 나의 고향 이죠. In America watching baseball game in the ball park, it costs a lot. Not just tickets but also eating and drink so expensive. 아 그리운 나의 고향 대구. 시민운동장.
Daegu is my mum’s hometown! There are plenty of great places to eat and stroll in Daegu! Hope you can go back another time. OMG! I will definitely be thrilled to travel with you guys of course especially if it happens in Korea 🤪😍😃 If I know the dates in advance so that I can organise my days off, yes, yes!!! 👍 🎉
0:21 a little correction though: SK Wyverns is now SSG Landers after Shinsegae Group bought and took the club ownership in 2021 10:15 there was once a Hyundai Unicorns, but the team dissolved in 2008. and yes, there's a Kia--Kia Tigers 😊
There are more food options at the back of Blue Zone and on the 5th floor! You can also get food delivered. Jjamppong dumplings and cold udon are famous at Lions Park but it looks like you didn’t get to try them😂
I went to Japan in February, I wanted to go back again next April to catch some Nippon league baseball but now I think I'll go to Korea next April instead, from what I read the Korean people are a lot friendlier than the Japanese people (don't get me wrong, most of Japan was wonderful but they mostly tolerate you).
The reason Korean baseball teams are named after big corporates is because they are owned by those companies, kind of like a subsidiary. Samsung Lions, for example, is operated by Samsung. The same goes for many other sports in Korea - football (soccer), volleyball, basketball, etc. Hope this helps!
My hometown is Daegu, but now I live in the other city. I spent most of my life in Daegu, so I always miss there and also love Samsung Lions. I wanna go back someday with my family. Thank you for showing this great movie 😄
@@StephandPete You visited SeoulWorldcup stadium a couple of years ago? But I can't find your video. please change thumbnail FC Seoul's thumbnail. So I can find it.
welcome to my city. have good trip.💙 Do you know that South Korea is the friendliest city to Americans? That's Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do. Because that's where American and South Korean soldiers fought hardest against North Korea during the Korean War.
I live in Daegu, and I just went to a game today. I love the atmosphere in Korea. The games are awesome to watch. I did get my tickets online, and the whole stadium was 95% sold out in less than an hour. I bought 8 tickets, and I was lucky to get such good seats (along the first-base line, not too far from the field). I paid 88,000 won (10,000 won + 1,000 won processing fee for each ticket), and for those seats, you wouldn't be able to pay $88 for even a single ticket in America. As for the food, it is a little basic in Daegu, but if you wander around the stadium, you can find some decent options, like fried chicken. My bucket of fried chicken, which came with a Pepsi, cost more than my ticket. But it lasted me the whole game. Plus, since you can bring your own food, or buy stuff at the convenience store, it is a minor issue, all things considered.
Love that you can bring whatever. Growing up in NY a yankee game was very pricy, beer and hot dog is like 30 dollars. Looks like a fantastic family night. OMG and the cheers are my favorite part! Lol😊
