Hyper tough is made by intertek for Walmart. Hart is made for Walmart by the same company that makes Milwaukee and ryobi so Hart is pulling from a better tested line and resources

The real gem is the 12v brushless for $45. 370in lbs vs the HT 20v at 175 and the hart at presumably 250in lbs. buried in the description on the gen 2 hart 20v it lists “250 ft lbs” which is probably just a typo and they meant in lbs.

You make good and fair comparisons, and here are some suggestions to improve (you are already very good at testing)
Even though i could tell that they were both brushed, you should include a text that says brushed or brushless in the title or when they are side by side
And also on the 1 inch speed bit, i noticed that you tried restarting the run 2 times with the hyper tough compared to the hart's 3 times, even though i saw that the hyper tough struggled, you should still restart the drill process the same amount of times for a fair comparison
and if you ever have free time, you could make a testing contraption that allows you to test drills with a set weight which would remove any human error on how much you push on the drill

Yes, the fact that both drills are brushed is shown on the screen and mentioned at about the 21 second mark. However I could present that information is a slightly clearer format going forward. I just looked and I can see most people are watching my videos on a phone and not a computer, so perhaps I need to make the text on the intros a bit bigger... I am old, so I watch on my laptop...
I like the idea of a test rig!! Especially if the channel grows and I start testing more powerful drills. I have already shot most of the next two drill videos...... but I might try and build a rig... and do a video on that. Lets see if the channel grows. If it does, then that might be a project I can shoot outdoors when it is warm.
Thank you again for the kind words and getting me to look for ways to improve my content!!

I bought the $100 3 piece set from HT last year. It worked, for the most part, for what I needed them for. I recently upgraded to the Kobalt platform. I gave my sister the HT kit, and for what she needs it for, it's more than sufficient.

HT has its place. For many homeowners and renters it is more than good enough!! But for more serous tasks it is better to go with something that does not struggle on those tasks.
If I had an unlimited budget I would also test Kobalt tools and Ryobi tools... If my channel grows over the next year who knows!?!?!?
Thank you again for the comment!!

They do make brushless now. I also have the Kobalt platform. The XTR set is killer!

Yeah, Hart is really stepping up the game, that 3 piece set is such a good value

Any one of these drills would be suitable for home use and some DIY tasks.

This is a good video and one part of that is that someone's 2nd or 3rd drill is rather likely going to be one of these two brands.

I hope this video helps people see both the good and limitations of the tools I review so they can decide if they will meet their needs before they spend their money!!
Thank you again for the comment.

Don't buy the first gen 1/2 inch brushed, buy the 2nd Gen, shorter and works the way a drill should
