Just did cat bells a week ago. So lovely! Beautiful hike with amazing views. Took the ferry back and had a great dinner at "The Fells" in Keswick. Can't wait to go back!
On ot yesterday up to high spy. Always love the views from catbells. One of the best picturesque areas of the Lake District. I always find the last part of the ascent tricky.
Catbells was my first Wainwright a couple of months ago. Epic views, but i absolutely hated that walk back down, my knees were not happy with me when i finshed. Although i was lucky enough to have the summit all to myself for approx 20 minutes
We hiked Catbells in July. One of my mates wanted to do Blencathra but non of the guys were up for it. Catbells was challenging enough for me. ha ha. The views across Derwentwater on the way down were spectacular. Nice video
Planning to do the Cumbria Way next summer, so definitely going to deviate at Hawse End and climb up Cat Bells instead to get those great views. It's great to see this video to see what to expect.
That sounds great. There's a clip of the descent down Hawse End in our film of the Newlands Round (and bits of the Cumbria Way here and there in several other films!) Hope you have a good day/days for it - enjoy!
Love your filming as always, very relaxing to watch. Totally understand the Yorkshire accent being from Huddersfield myself. Did CatBells on my honeymoon December 2020, the views over Derwent were fabulous.
@@LakeDistrictFilms Thanks! It was beautiful - just a bit of rain on the descent but got to enjoy the little summit complete with magnificent view. Your video really helped us choosing to do this route.
I fell in love with the Lake District on the Catbells walk, even during a school break with children scrambling over me. Thanks for a great video!
Thank you!
In love with cat bells ever since I was four 🤩
It's a classic!
thanks for nici video
Thank you for showing the way down! Most videos only cover the way up.
Thanks, Kirsty! Hope you get the chance to walk the route!

That's a great way to do it, and there are some excellent restaurants in Keswick. Cheers!

Can anyone clarify Hawes End vs Hawse End? I see both in reference to the area below Skelgill/Cat Bells; even on Google Maps it says Hawes End
Fab views
Thank you!
I love you 2 please do more together Neil
We’re working on it!
